The setting of this little gem at the base of the Atlas Mountains is spectacular! After you’ve defeated your first little mountain climb to the property with your luggage, (donkey porter available), your met with a stunning little traditional Moroccan home. What however makes this property and your stay such a special event is the manager Hamid. With instruction from him to treat the property as your home he then continues to be your new close family member, not being able to do enough throughout your stay to make it truly perfect. We were blessed with a room off the terrace which was again homely, also clean, cozy and spacious. Another bonus, if you don’t mind getting your hands a wee bit dusty, a wonderful log burner for warmth to make those evenings that bit more romantic back in your room. (I understand however that rooms are available with modern heating if you prefer.) The properties terrace, with traditional tea or coffee served, offers the most stunning of views of the Atlas mountains and villages in the valley. A perfect base to attack the submit of Toubkal or for like us a more relaxing stay with less challenging enjoyable hikes around Lmlil and the surrounding hills. Thank you Hamid and your wonderful team for this unforgettable experience at our now, second home!!

More of a suggestion than a dislike. It would be an idea to have a filled basic first aid kit at the property. To be fair we should have travelled with the basic items but when they were needed unfortunately they could not be provided at the property.

Excellent host. Attentive, hospitable, friendly. Flexible online communication. Nice decorated rooms, perfectly airconditioned. The corner bath like we have at home. Comfortable beds. Located at a convenient city part, very close to Toubkal park entrance. Simple but very tasty breakfast. Overall the place was clean, reliable and with amazing views from roof terrace. Free parking on the street some 80 stairs above the room. Special source of free drinking water.

Hot-cold shower water fight was true challenge as well as carrying all the bags to and from the hotel.

An excellent accommodation of its price range! Beautiful location, friendly stuff, delicious meals. It was possible to arrange a guide in the mountains and even get help for hassle-free shopping for a Berber rug in the village. :)

The location of this hotel is wonderful with beautiful views, which means the accommodation is accessible by quite steep stairs. It was no problem for us, but only because the guys from the accommodation helped us carry our luggage.

The location is stunning, in the canopy of a walnut forest on the side of a “hill”. It is a bit of a uphill or steep downhill (if you drive) walk to get to, but very worth it. Mohammed was a fantastic host. He helped us with the bags down from the car. The power was out when we arrived and he lit the house with candles. He then made delicious tagines for the several guests. After we left a jacket at the property, Mohammed then got the jacket delivered to the Riad we were staying in Marrakech.

The access to the property is the only challenge, but even with a 2yo and a 8yo in tow we managed it several times.

Beautiful views, lovely room with a balcony (which was an upgrade compared to the room we booked!!) Great recommendations of hiking routes in the mountains. Amazing delicious food and all so cheap! They also arranged affordable transfers from Marrakech which made the whole trip so easy. We 100% recommend and will definitely be returning ourselves to explore more of the mountains!! Thank you so much.

The property was perfectly placed to get into town and to get easily onto trails to start hiking. We needed to hire a guide and hire warm weather wear which the hotel helped us out with and gave good suggestions.

· The parking is set above the property so you have to carry your luggage down some steep steps. I'd recommend just packing the items you need into a lighter bag to make that an easier journey.

I’m truly amazed by Dar Adrar! What a brilliant hidden gem in Imlil. It’s a couple of hundred meters away from the main square of Imlil, a little climbing. It’s a really cozy house with a terrace that must have the best views in the village. But it’s not only that. The host, Hamid, will take great care of you. He’s there for you in any way. If you’re cold and tired from a trek in the mountains, you’ll get warm tea. Breakfast and dinner is top notch. Suggestions to make your stay more comfortable etc. Hamid, keep doing what you’re doing mate, thanks for being a wonderful host! The rooms are cozy, heated, extra blankets for cold nights, food great. You will always have the best attention from the staff. Bless you, Dar Adrar family!

Nothing to dislike.

Host Hamid was very friendly and welcoming along with Hassan who brought tea out on to the terrace with lovely views upon my arrival, also helped organise guide for Toubkal at really short notice. As I was leaving early for the summit Hamid kindly offered packed breakfast to take up too! the rooms are clean and stay cosy even when the night gets cold. Nice breakfast and had a really nice evening tagine too. 100% recommend staying at Dar Adrar, I will definitely stay here again and can’t wait to return :)

The breakfast of yoghurt, fresh juice, tea or coffee, omelette, fruit, cheese, bread and jam/honey was Delicious. We appreciated the oil filled radiator in our room as it kept our room warm as it was winter. We loved the roof top terrace which was a lovely place to relax when it was sunny. The staff were so friendly and helpful at all times and arranged mule hire and a taxi.

Nothing. The pillow was a bit hard for me but I just used some clothes instead.
