Nice welcome and friendly staff. The position of the hotel overlooking the lake and views of the Atlas mountains are stunning. The restaurant and bar areas all overlook the lake also. The food was really good, we had lunch, dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and enjoyed all three which were all varied. The heated pool area for guests was a lovely addition and a great place to relax. Our room had a lovely little seating area in front of it overlooking the pool with palm trees, mountains and the lake all in view - lovely!

Room was spacious and well decorated with a comfy bed. The bathroom was a little dated, but still comfortable.

We spent 2 nights on Christmas here and loved it. The Christmas dinner was delicious. Our kids loved warm swimming pool and spent there a lot of time. Room was clean, with white cotton beddings and towels. Very beautiful view to the lake.

Only one thing we didn’t really like - the woman who is making a bread and omelette on a breakfast. She was so busy with her phone. Every time she was with a face like we were disturbing her. And of course without washing hand was making bread just put on a side phone. Kids were even afraid to ask her something.

This place is something special. Stunning views of the lake and mountains made a lovely backdrop for sunrise breakfasts and sunny lunches and cozy indoor dinners. Christian the hotel manager, is a professional host while also fun and helpful. The head waiter (Abdullah, I think) was such a wonderful man, very kind and helpful, and went out of his way to get me blankets when I was cold and fresh oranges from the trees. His hospitality was warm and welcoming. Breakfast is basic but always enough. Boiled eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, a pancake station, and fresh bread. There was coffee and Moroccan mint tea. I am coeliac/ gluten-free and while no GF bread was available, the eggs, fruit and yoghurt were plenty. The highlight of this stay is the lunches, and it's what this hotel is known for. Be sure to make a reservation, as it does get very busy and most days are fully booked. It is a popular spot among French tourists. Every meal we had was superb, and the cote de boeuf was exceptional. Everything is reasonably priced too. For dessert, I highly recommend the Moroccan mint parfait and the nougat glace, which were uniquely delightful. The nights are rather chilly, bring a sweater, but it was lovely that a fire was burning in the restaurant every night; it made it all a very cozy homely space. It was also nice that our room had a log burner which we could request to set up, so our room was nice and cozy after supper. This hotel has 2 pools, 1 larger for public use; it is unheated and, therefore, very cold. The other is smaller and heated with lovely views over the hotel and surrounding scenery. There isn' really a town to wander to the shops for a browse, for example, you are here for the peace and quiet and beautiful views. It's about 35-40 minutes from the center of Marrakech, and we paid 200 Dirhams for a taxi to this hotel which is a fair price.

The rooms were comfortable, however, some minor details could be improved. The loo was wobbly, so every time you'd sit on it, it would move and rattle. The light switch in the loo did not look clean; there were brown grease marks from use over time. The liquid soap was in this old plastic dispenser which again had brown grease marks on the pump. The room would benefit from a mini fridge and hair dryer.

We enjoyed a two-night stay at this hotel, and the highlight was undoubtedly the beautiful lake view and the serene, secluded environment that truly offered an escape from Marrakech. Our room was generously spacious. A special thanks for our breakfast Chef," who made us feel incredibly welcome.

However, the property could benefit from some renovations, as there was a noticeable gap between the pictures and the current state of the hotel, suggesting that time has taken its toll. The manager was a bit arrogant.

food was insane, French run hotel and they really know about good food. the backdrop of the lake and the mountains was breathtaking. we were there between Thursday to Saturday and it was lovely and quiet around the pool. The manager was helpful and had good humour (and really cool glasses!), catering to my vegetarian needs and helping us book a trip for our ongoing travels. the room was modern, spacious and very comfortable. on the day we checked out we were allowed to stay in the hotel to continue using the pool and restaurant before leaving. there were a couple of dogs on site which were friendly and chilled just to be aware

the views are breathtaking, the pool is refreshing, a good selection of drinks, the food is fantastic and staff very friendly!

from the perspective of the owner, It seems like a hotel which definitely favours French guests. There seems to be some disdain towards non french speaking guests, while we understood we were in a French speaking country and happily tried, there was an air of rudeness which came from the owner. that’s not to say we didn’t like him or enjoy our interactions, but that possibly reflects our attitude more. The positives far outweigh any negative and we had a really pleasant stay. maybe the time of year but evenings there are very quiet after dinner service, theres not much of an evening atmosphere

New swimming pool was in very good condition. Christian, the host, made us feel very welcome and helped us with advice and transport to and from Marrakesh. The food was also particularly good value.

Parts of the hotel were a bit run-down, especially the old (unheated) swimming pool, the bathroom in our room and generally the place needs some maintenance.

The location is wonderful, the views are fantastic and I found it to be a little gem on the lake.

The property is great value, extremely peaceful, had other lovely guests. The only thing to comment on is that the bathrooms fittings could be modernised.
