The staff are incredible at Riad Dar El Souk. Abdul (day manager), Fatima (chef), and Youness (night manager) are always there with a smile to do everything they can for guests. We loved chatting to Abdul to learn more about Marrakech, and he had brilliant recommendations for us. The breakfast was lovely and very filling, and the rooms were comfortable and always really clean. The whole Riad is beautifully decorated and is a very welcome and calm place to relax in the mornings before going out to explore the city (with the central square just 5 minutes walk away), and in the evenings relaxing on the roof terrace to get some sunshine before showering and heading out for food was exactly what was needed. 10/10 would recommend everyone considers staying at Riad Dar El Souk!

The only very small thing to note is that on our very last morning the hot water was not working. However, it had been working perfectly the rest of the stay (and was lovely pressure and got hot very quickly all other days). As soon as we raised it, the manager Abdul immediately got to fixing the problem, so really that shows how good they are at helping and caring for customers!

Beautiful relaxed Riad. The rooms were comfortable, clean and the decor was lovely. The location was incredible - right in the heart of the Medina but down an alley so set back enough for it to be a totally peaceful oasis. We were made to feel very welcome and looked after by all the staff - nothing was too much trouble for them. I was unwell and they let me check out late and they even brought my partner a gift on his birthday. The staff and location really make this place and it’s great value for money too. Thank you so much to everyone at Riad far el Souk for making our stay such a special one. ❤️

The breakfast was a bit limited.

We absolutely loved our stay at Dar El Souk. Everything was wonderful - the property itself is really beautiful, a lovely little courtyard garden with a plunge pool, up to the stunning roof terrace. I spent a couple of afternoons lounging on day beds, sipping mint tea and reading. Abdullah is a fabulous host, he really helped us with everything, from directions, recommendations, taxi prices, everything. Fatima is a wonderful cook; we had the pleasure of enjoying her home cooked dinner on the first night, which was probably one of the best meals we had in Marrakesh. The location is perfect - nestled right inside the Medina, close to countless restaurants, shops etc., but so quiet, you wouldn't know you were in the centre of it all. Every morning we woke up to nothing but birdsong. Our room was beautiful - clean, comfortable, and every room has it's own outside seating area. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

We loved how quiet and peaceful it was, we especially loved the rooftop terrace which was the perfect place to relax and escape the hustle & bustle from the markets. All of the staff were really helpful and friendly, they were kind enough to make us an early breakfast at 7am on the day we flew home (which we didn’t expect, as breakfast was usually served from 8.30am) They arranged our taxis to and from the airport and escorted us to meet our driver when we had to leave. The room was lovely, comfy bed and good shower and good WiFi - we felt really safe and welcome here 😄 thank you for a lovely stay!

The location is perfect, we were able to walk everywhere. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The riad is very beautifully decorated, very authentic.

We had to leave early 2 of the 3 mornings and they gave us early breakfast. It was mostly bread, we felt that they could have included some fruit and yogurt and a boiled egg, which could all have been prepared the previous evening, so a bit disappointed there. There is also limited seating for breakfast.

The place is very good, clean, very good location and staff were extremely helpful However the access to the area with luggage requires help… we were lost and kept trying to find the place for sometime with all our luggage and after a long travel day

Accessibility to the riad with the luggage Taxi doesn’t enter the area and we couldn’t reach to the location on our own using google maps we had to call them to try to meet in a middle ground so he can pick us to the Riad

As mentioned by other guests, hosts in this riad are very hospitable and polite. Location is great, just 5-6 mins walk to the Jemma-el-Fna.

Unfortunately breakfast was below our standards. Not very nutritional. Out of 5 days we only got eggs twice and it was just one egg per person. Other than that just bread with butter and jam, and small pot of fruit. Our room felt very dark and cold, but I guess this wouldn't bother me if it was very hot summer day outside, unfortunately we came when it was pretty cold weather.

We opted for Riad Dar el Souk due to unavailability at our next rental for our one-day-earlier arrival. Our decision proved immensely fortunate. This Riad is exceptional, commencing with a warm welcome in the breathtaking patio. Our room was spacious, the bathroom provided ample room for storing all our products and move around, and the shower offered rare, wonderful water pressure (usually rare in Morocco). After a serene night in a totally quiet environment, we relished a generous and delicious breakfast, the coffee was delicious too. I 100% recommend this Riad and hope to come back to Marrakech and stay there.

Attempting to extend our stay, we found it fully booked – no surprise for such a fantastic place with a welcoming atmosphere!

Everything, what is not to like. The staff were incredibly kind and couldn't have been more helpful. Our room was beautiful everyday it was cleaned to an immaculate standard. From the moment we walked in, we were treated very well. The breakfast was also amazing we loved it! Very central location also, we would 100% stay here again. We were very sad to leave.

Absolutely nothing to report back, everything was fab! Really couldn't fault it, this really is the place to stay when staying in the centre!
