We were met from the airport transfer (arranged by Dar Taliwint) by Lénaïck - the French host & owner of this Riad. He is SUCH a charming & wonderful man. On arrival he gave us some delicious local sweet mint tea, and oriented us in simple terms, so we wouldn't get lost around the labyrinth of alleyways that is Marrakesh. The Riad is of classic style, sympathetically & beautifully restored to its former glory, based around an open courtyard. Moroccan furniture, lamps & personal paraphernalia adorn the Riad. There is a rooftop terrace with seating & games, and a fab view over the city. Breakfast is freshly cooked every morning by 2 lovely ladies who work there. Coffee, freshly squeezed juice, fruit, fresh bread, eggs etc etc will see you right for the day. Honest and humble, this is the perfect base to explore the city. We will be back!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic and varied breakfasts every morning. Riad is in an amazing location, just on the edge of the souks so you can get easy access to them, but can also enjoy peace and quiet in the Riad. Also right next to Tinsmith Square where there are some excellent restaurants that offer great value and nice views. The room was lovely and had an amazing shower. Very cool in the room also. Also had a new air-con unit that worked very well. The room was always clean and was cleaned every morning by the friendly Riad staff. Lenaick, the Manager/owner of the Riad is a lovely and genuine person. He ensured we had a lovely stay and arranged airport pickup and drop off for us as well as a fun day trip. Excellent value for money. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Marrakech :D

Such a wonderful experience! Gorgeous place in a super convenient location. We got there and had the best mint tea ever with the marvellous owner who made us feel right at home. He was really charming and helpful. The whole staff was extremely nice, and they made us a beautiful and tasty breakfast (which we absolutely recommend, as it is amazing!). Overall everything you look for in your stay, we are already recommending it to everyone we know, as it really is spectacular. Thank you so much for your hospitality, we'll be back for sure!

We appreciated the beautiful antiques and attention to decor : what a lovely riad! We felt like we got an experience like you can’t have in a hotel. Unique features and a very nice rooftop terrace, plus excellent location for markets, restaurants, and sight seeing were our favorite things! You can also chat with the owner for recommendations for restaurants and hammams and feedback for your day’s itinerary.

As mentioned, the bed is firm, but many people prefer it, so I think it’s only a drawback for some. We slept well. Bring your own conditioner. Our first breakfast was very good but our last one of three consisted only of breads and jams. In hindsight, we should have asked for eggs or yogurt or something. The staff is incredibly kind and accommodating!

This Riad exceeded our expectations ... beautifully done, very authentic, and with so many personal touches. The owner was very personable, friendly, and really couldn't do enough for you. Great location ... very close to everything but just far enough away from the noise and craziness of the main square. Breakfast was great. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely riad perfectly located footsteps from Badi Palace, and just far enough from the center of things so it is quiet at night. Leniack has the perfect recommendation for anything you're looking for (restaurants, hammam, etc) and there are only 4 rooms so you instantly feel like you are a home guest. Also, arranged transportation upon arrival at the airport was much appreciated. Highly recommend Riad Dar Taliwint!

Excellent location and good sized rooms. Air condition makes it versatile for stay in winter/summer. Beds are good (although a little hard for some). Not so much noise from outside which makes the nights much more comfortable.

Breakfast was not up to par. Most of the food served is sweet which is not very healthy. The Cook only serves scrambled eggs(no omelett or fried egg). No water served, which is weird to me.

Absolutely our favourite place during our Morocco trip. We have stayed in five different Riads, but Dar Taliwint was definitely our favourite!! Great location, just meters away from Bahia Palace and really easy to access all the landmarks of Marrakesh. Tasty, moroccan-sweet breakfast is also a big plus! Owner of Riad, Lenaick, is a lovely and genuine person, don't forget to ask him for restaurants recommendation, he knows where to go!!

We've had a wonderful stay and highly recommend Dar Taliwint to anyone looking for a comfortable, safe and convenient place to stay in Marrakech! The room was very well decorated, clean, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was also fantastic, in a more quiet street then the main ones, with plenty of good restaurants and attractions within walking distance. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and went out of their way to ensure that we had everything needed. I was particularly delighted by our delicious breakfast and the help Lénaïck gave us to ensure we arrived at the airport at the right time.

This riad is very conveniently situated in Marrakesh, just next to the Bahia Palace and 5 minutes from the main square. I was traveling alone and I felt very safe in the area. There are 4 rooms, 2 on the 1st floor and 2 on the 2nd floor. The ground floor is used for the office, the kitchen, the library (nice room to relax!) and the breakfast room. I came with a shuttle that I booked myself and even though it was 1am when I got out of the airport, all went smoothly. There's a parking close to the alley where the riad is located which is where the shuttle dropped me and with the pictures Lénaïck had sent me to orientate myself, the riad was easy to find. There are many restaurants around and Lénaïck has some very good suggestions.

The bed was very hard... It didn't bother me personally but it may bother some.
