This place is right on the dunes which is perfect for walking around the dunes. The photos of the room don’t do it justice - it looks much better in person. The food served is also very good. It was a fun experience staying here.

It was a very fun experience and the staff were great - young and friendly. However there were a few funny things here and there - not much communication over when breakfast/lunch/dinner was supposed to be, no menus, sometimes meals took quite a while (1 hour) but that’s the norm for Morocco. If the staff and hotel wasn’t lovely in general, this would have been problematic, but it was great.

The location right next to the dunes is perfect. Guests can walk straight into the dunes from the hotel. The pool area is lovely and the breakfast was the best we had in Morocco. Staff are very helpful and organise camel tours at sunset

Great location directly in front of the dunes. A nice owner and we could stay the whole day at the pool before moving to a tent camp (not owned by them). Rooms are large and clean with good beds. The building itself is also quite interesting, an old casbah (or caravanserei?) where one half is the hotel and the other is empty and partly collapsing and housing the pool in its inner court yard. This gives a nice setting. The lobby is also very nicely decorated, the terasse id sirectly oppsite the dunes

For this really nice place I would have wished that the food would be a match. Food is quite bland. Some spices would really do the trick. However, since there is no alternative around and you dont really want to drag your rental car through the desert in darkness without a marked path (oh, yes, you will be lost without Google maps finding it and even with it is quite a challenge) you need to take it and well, it is not bad, just, let's say, below average.

Just spent a really awesome night in the Sahara desert at Kasbah Erg Chebbi. The place is great, right at the start of the Erg Chebbi dune, you couldn’t feel more close to nature than this! I enjoyed the traditional vibe of the kasbah, the lounge spaces, the garden, the terrace in front where you can look at the stars. My room was spacious and very clean, with a big bed and good shower pressure. I have to admit, I was skeptical about going to the desert in July, but they have AC running non stop in the room and the shared spaces, making the experience so much easier! The staff is friendly and they served us a really tasty dinner last night, the best tagine I have eaten in Morocco so far. The pool is big and clean, maybe needs a bit more loungers and stuff, but I couldn’t care less. I took a dip in the afternoon and it was perfect on this heat. Big like for Kasbah Erg Chebbi!

Everything was great!

Amazing location right in front of the dunes. Beautifully decorated communal rooms and terrace with view of the dunes. Run by a very kind friendly family. The guys did a spontaneous drumming music performance one night which was great. Reasonably priced activities which are always reliable and on time: we did a sunrise camel ride which was wonder and an exhilarating Quad safari deep into the dunes which our 14 year old son loved. They provide sand boards free of charge. You can climb the dunes directly outside and watch the sunset. The food was delicious too. We will definitely be back inshallah

Not a dislike more a warning. Due to the recent rains there is a lake in front of the hotel and google maps is useless as the road they show leads into the lake. If you have a normal hire car take the following route: R702 to the Shell station dunes if Merzouga. Then take the dirt road towards Merzouga Activities camp. When you see the walls nears the camp swing right with the road and continue with google maps to the hotel. Make sure you get someone’s number for WhatsApp contact before arrival just in case you need help! This is not a boutique hotel where everything is perfect. They are still working on it. Near the pool there is a building site. Since brilliant value for money but if you want perfection maybe not for you…..

I stayed for three nights at this hotel and really enjoyed myself. The location is probably the best you can get in the whole area. You step off the terrace onto the sand and can walk directly to Erg Chebbi dune. Super comfortable bed! The staff are all young, energetic and helpful. The dinner room was beautifully decorated and the dinner service was really good. The best breakfast I also had in my whole trip in Morocco. Really good value for money and top location!

The road getting to the property is quite rough for a little car, but not too much of a problem. The hot water pressure was sometimes nonexistent. The drain in my shower was not draining... Also, only a transparent "mesh" curtain in the room, so the room got super bright early in the morning... This was a bit odd. All minor issues though, but overall, I was super happy! I would be happy to book again.

The view of the dunes is priceless! I love to seat at the terrace or the chairs over the dunes and get lost looking at this magnificent big dune just in front of me. The music after dinner is such a pleasure time. This time ( it is my second time) I took a daily excursion to the dunes offered by the hotel and it was awesome. I like very much the cozy decoration of the Kasbah.

Located right on the edge of the dunes (away from the main tourist center). It was really nice to walk out directly onto the dunes and enjoy the desert. The rooms were huge, clean and comfortable. The communal areas were pleasant. The food was very nice and the kitchen staff were friendly. The pool was great to freshen up – be it cold! The staff helped arrange a camel ride a sunset which was the highlight of our stay. Our guide, Mohammed was a lovely humble person who was a pleasure to spend time with.

It was a bit to touristy for us which is not really our type of location (but that is a matter of opinion). The welcome was less welcoming and based more upon the formalities. The location has more potential than what is exploited and could do with a little maintenance (mainly in the outdoor areas).

The location is absolutely perfect, right at the beginning of the dunes and away from the busier areas. I recommend this accommodation for families with children in the summer due to the pool. The room was clean with basic amenities. There is an option to order drinks or have dinner prepared. The breakfast was excellent, served as a buffet. The price-to-quality ratio met expectations.

The WiFi worked intermittently.

Staying right in front of the dunes was an amazing experience. The hotel and the staff were both great. The room was bigger than expected, very welcoming and clean. They prepared us dinner even though we arrived quite late. The dinner was great and had a fair price. We also had breakfast; it was very nice and ready when we asked for it. The pool was quite cold, but it had a fantastic view over the dunes. They let us park the motorcycles inside the hotel.

The space around the pool could be better kept, as there was some construction happening—just a small detail.
