This riad is in a great location, in the middle of everything. We requested a room on a higher floor, so it was unsurprising that there were many steps. Room 10 was a clean, comfortable room with bedside tables, wall lights, two chairs and a small table. The bathroom was small but renovated. There was plenty of hot water and good water pressure, and toiletries are provided. As with many riads in medinas, there are drain challenges that lead to unpleasant smells. To deal with this issue at night, we closed the drains, put down the toilet seat, turned on the bathroom fan/light, and closed the bathroom door. This worked well enough. Some of the rooms in Dar Yasmine don’t have an external window, and some do. Ours did. Dar Yasmine is in a wonderful location for walking: We highly recommend the American Legation and St. Andrews Church, for the history in its graveyard. The hop on/hop off bus stop is easy walking distance from the riad, and you can buy your onward CMT bus tickets a 1-min walk from the riad, at the Cash Plus office, Rue Siaghine No. 13. Anji, a very good Chinese restaurant is not too far to walk. (And, you can walk up the hill 8 minutes or so from Anji to Carryfour, and to a liquor store next to a Pizza Hut.)

The breakfast was uninspired. I don't think the riad could do anything about this, but for general information: We lived in Pakistan a number of years and have traveled widely, and generally find the call to prayers a peaceful sound. However, the morning call to prayer from the mosque across the street from this riad was exceptionally loud.

The location of the rRad is perfect, with easy access to the medina the beach and the buses. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable with good linen. There was always lots of hot water for showers. Fresh towels daily. Breakfast was served on the roof terrace room and was copious. The tea with milk a bonus! Air conditioning is available on each floor.

The rooms are quite small with only a small amount of hanging space. The bath towel was medium sized. Small for a larger person! The Riad is situated next to the Mosque which means one can hear the prayer call at 5 to 6am if the window is open. The air conditioning is controlled on each landing. However having said all that, it is great value for money.

Staff was very nice, always helpful! They even reminded us on the last day that for the flight we need printed boarding passes and offered to print it for us at the reception. We asked about restaurant recommendations and they gave us a whole list of excellent restaurants. Great service! There is a beautiful terrace on the rooftop with an amazing view and a few sun lounges. They also leave out mint tea for the guests. The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast was also excellent. Overall would come back!

You can hear everything from the room, including the call to prayer at 4 am and people having breakfast upstairs in the morning. So if you are a light sleeper this might be something you won't like. Sleeping with the windows closed muffled the sounds enough to not wake us up, so it was not too bad.

I really liked the location, as I arrived by ferry from Tarifa, I could walk there and it was very easy to find. The staff was very friendly with us, giving us tips on tours and restaurants. The breakfast buffet was delicious with different options, served on the terrace with a great view.

Since it is located in front of the medina, be prepared to wake up during prayer times. Tip: bring earplugs. The room does not have air conditioning, but this was not a problem as it was not too warm. I was on the third floor, which can be noisy during breakfast time, but if you wake up early, this should not be a problem.

Beautiful Dar. Super easy to find if you put in the “Grand Mosque” onto maps, and it is down the small path opposite. So good that breakfast is included and it’s on the rooftop overlooking Tanger - absolutely stunning. Buffet style breakfast where you pick what you want out of Moroccan brekkie classics. Room was super clean, cleaned daily, with towels etc being replaced daily. AC was on so the room was nice and cool when you get in from the hot streets of Tanger. Staff are so attentive, helpful and kind.

NA - I know some people think the call to prayer is a tad loud but you’re travelling to a Muslim country, so you cannot complain really. You can also hear the call to prayer from the streets. It’s in the description of being in the Middle East and North Africa 🤷🏾‍♀️

The location was excellent - inside the medina but on the outskirts, so easily accessible from the road. I loved the room - very authentic, clean, spacious, and daily cleaning of my room. The staff members were all lovely, friendly, and incredibly helpful. I'd definitely stay here again if I returned to Tangier. Less than 1 minute walk to restaurants, cafes, shopping in the medina. A 5 minute walk to Grand Socco where the taxi hub is located, and this is the hub for main activity in this part of the city. I never needed to wait more than a minute for a taxi to appear and there is a bank on Grand Socco, near to the gate of the medina. Staff also gave me a map and recommendations for local attractions & restaurants. Quiet room despite being situated in a bustling medina. Less than 30 seconds to the main square inside the medina (Petite Socco). Good breakfast on the rooftop with fantastic views. Dar Yasmine is an excellent base for day trips around Tangier too, for example, Asilah and Larache, which are accessible by public transport (Asilah by train & Larache by bus). I loved my stay at Dar Yasmine

The staff were nice and helpful. The room was small but we expected that. The bathroom was nice although one of those showers where you will get water everywhere. The location is great for exploring Tangier. The rooftop is nice and breakfast was ok. No real complaints other than the longer than usual call to prayer next door. We are used to the call to prayer and usually find it almost soothing but this was the longest one I've ever heard and it occurs every single morning about 20 minutes before sunrise. It lasted between 15 and 20 minutes every day. The timing wouldn't be so bad except breakfast doesn't start until 8am and nothing else is really open early in the morning, It is also right next door so it is very loud.

Well located at the start of the Medina within easy walking distance of the Port. The property is beautifully maintained & has lots of traditional charm. No elevator, so access to rooms & rooftop breakfast is via the stairs. Simple fresh breakfast. We would stay here again.

Hotel is located right next to the Mosque which meant 3.30am/4.30am call to prayer was quite loud & did disturb our sleep, but we knew about this when we booked so it wasn't a problem. We just looked at it as another new experience on our travels

Loved the location despite the mosque next door. We were made aware of it from the start and soon get used to the calls. Whole place was super clean and the daily cleaning appreciated. Complimentary water also a nice touch. Staff was good with recommendations and directions for bank, restaurants etc. Roof deck for breakfast and just for the view are worth mentioning. Breakfast had lots of choice, really liked the fresh tomatoes and cucumbers. Good hot water and pressure in the shower. Would go back again

Bathroom was a bit small but not a big deal. Could use a shelf for toothbrushes etc Also an extra blanket but was likely available if I had asked. No control for heat or cooling that I could see. Bed a bit hard for my personal preference.

we stayed just one night, location was perfect although initially hard to find as its tucked away and you'll get directed by the shop owners who then keep expecting you to come in to buy something, which can get a bit annoying, there's being helpful for the sake of it and being helpful with the expectation that you must buy something from them. initially i didn't feel the staff member that greeted us was friendly but i'm sure they are sick of tourists in and out daily, she wasn't rude just not a friendly welcome like most places we stayed, this does make you feel unwelcome though, so wouldn't stay again sorry.

its small with no windows and as all room face into the centre of the riad where you can hear all noise from all doors opening and stairs etc but it wasn't a problem as we only stayed one night.
