For breakfast, we had a lovely variety of food and drinks. The staff was quite attentive. The bedroom section of the room was quite large. The outside area was very nice to sit and do work. And the sitting area in the lobby was calming and relaxing.

Laundry was expensive compared to other places in Kathmandu. 100NPR for one pair of underwear to be cleaned. And then the laundry was mixed up. I received someone else's shirt. My roommate lost two pairs of underwear. The bathrooms were rundown and had evidence of mold. Beware of the powerpoints, as some spark as you insert your plug. And some powerpoints are not very tight and secure, some plugs were pretty much hanging half in and half out.

There are many things to love about the Himalaya Hotel. The rooms are large and well-equipped for a comfortable stay: Bed and bedding - v- comfortable; bathroom with bath and shower; kettle and tea and coffee etc. The garden is beautiful and the pool and spa are also lovely. There is also a wide choice of breakfast food - I started each day with their Sassy Water, fresh fruit, cereal and a selection of western and Asian hot food. I also appreciated the complimentary international flight airport pick up and drop off. Staff varied - the young woman with glasses at reception was particularly welcoming.

They still offer plastic bottles of water rather than a jug and filtered water.

I loved the breakfast buffet, the space in the lobby, outside seating was nice, especially in the sun. The beds were comfortable. I enjoyed housekeeping making our beds every day and offered fresh towels whenever we needed. The staff were exceptional!

Some of the wall plugs did not work, and had some sparks which made us feel worried.

The hotel is located at a great neighborhood with plenty of little cafes. What I loved was that one can walk to Patan Durbar Square! The rooms are big and comfortable. Special shout out to the staff who gave us the right advice for travel around the city and were always prompt when asked for any help.

Stylish design, spacious, quiet, comfortable bed, nice jacuzzi and sauna and good food. Noone playing loud music or smoking, which was amazing... Most pleasant was just the whole feel of the place, it's really a hideaway from everything unpleasant in Kathmandu... Feels like a little oasis

There were some unpleasant smells, like maybe mould in the room and sheets and the steam smelled like ammonia

I felt safe and secure as a single female business traveler. The location was ideal for my trips into the office and had good access to shops and historical sites. Staff were friendly and respectful and always helpful. Rooms were a good size and the views were stunning over the city.

Could be more cleen windows, though I understand this is problem of dust in all KTM, not in hotel only Could be new curtains

Breakfast was good.

Response of house keeping staff didn’t meet the expectations. After requesting for house keeping staff, average time of waiting is more that 30 minutes. Sometimes need to call again and again…

The hotel was quiet and accessible to booked tours. The room and public spaces were clean. The staff were courteous and accommodating.

There was a little construction going on but not that it impacted our stay.

Breakfast buffet has variety but should rotate few items. Like the drinks. Consider adding a live station at least every other day for change.

Chicken hotdog needs to go and for change try making your own chicken kebab or patties. Have F&B manager do some research and add some new items may be like piroshky which is very simple to make
