I was fortunate enough to have the top floor room with the terrace for a week, and it was spacious, orderly, and lovely. The manager and staff could not have been more kind and attentive, from the receptionist all the way to the cleaners, everyone is so friendly, polite, and helpful. I truly felt everyone were doing their utmost to ensure that I enjoyed my stay, and to answer any questions or requests that I had.

If you do take the room with the upstairs terrace, keep in mind it is not exactly private, as the cleaning staff like to take phone calls there, and some folks hang their laundry there.

I have stayed here several times over the years, I love the location of this hidden gem, tucked away in Chetrapati, just out of Thamel set back from the hustle and bustle of the road. There is a lovely small courtyard garden to eat breakfast etc, the staff are all very friendly. The hotel arranged a porter cum guide , permits and jeeps and bus tickets to Pokhara etc for our trek to Mardi Himal. The guide, Ramesh Shreshtra Gorkha was fantastic, he met us in Pokhara, my son, rather worryingly came down with a lung infection on the day of departure for the trek. Ramesh helped resolve this, organising a vehicle and visit to a medical clinic. We were able to trek the following day. He is a real asset to the company. Overall, KBH is a great hotel, which I recommend.

Air-conditioning was a bit noisy.

This was my 1st experience of hotel booking over the online, but I astonished after reaching my destination. It's such a nicest place for staying in city like "THAMEL" where you can find peace, and also can enjoy thamel's night life with a few minutes walking distance. That picture they are showing is the truth. The breakfast was top notch. They serve bread, butter, jam, potato fries with a variety of egg's recipes and coffee/tea. And the place where you'll have your meal is a garden based Cafe. Not just room whole place is clean and there washroom also. Whole crew is friendly and well behaved. It's really a great deal for mid budget traveller like me. Who wanted good deal with better pocket friendly price.

Earlier I had made a booking for 2 days only, but this place was so amazing that we decided to stay 4 more nights. They maintain a beautiful and peaceful garden restaurant. Manager is a Lovely guy. Staff behaviour was very good, they cooperated well, earlier I booked a premium room on the fifth floor , but as it is an old heritage building, lift wasn't available so my 75 year old father could not climb, they imidiately aranged a well furnished room on the ground floor. We couldnt find a loundary who could provide asap service so they arranged buckets n drying area .They served great breakfast with lots of love . we used to have lunch at their restaurant, they served us delicious unlimited vegetarian food as we are strict vegetarians with love n care. Owner is a nice person too , he is always around and looks after the guests and property nicely. This place is totally value for money and will stay in your memories life long, one will love to stay longer.

I stayed there for 4-5 nights as I made a Road trip to nepal with my father and wife so I always made sure the property provides afree onsite parking, they have mentioned about their onsite parking , when I checked in they refused to provide car parking saying we have parking for bikes only . Upon making a request on next booking the owner provided us a lockable parking on their expenses Which was really sweet and cooperative. Overall its like you own the place when in there. People in nepal are sweet and Lovely, its home away home .

I liked the exterior views that's awesome pure traditional and classic, The staff is very eco-friendly,helpful and greets every time The breakfast is good taste, The bed is so comfy,the room was cleaned and one thing surprise me there's a hairdryer in the bathroom that's a good facility I really like though Thankyou for making special my 1st Anniversary stay, I wish i could be visit again

There's something bad for me, Please place a dustbin in the bathroom and one tissue box for room. Bathroom was tiny😃, Last thing the Location was little inside of road I could not getting cab into the Hotel..

We stayed at this hotel before and after Annapurna Circuit Trail, and could not be happier that we did! The location of this hotel is superb! It is very close to many attractions and Thamel, and yet it is extremely peaceful and quiet there!!! We did not hear any traffic or city noise and our nights were restful! The hotel had all we needed and more! We could enjoy breakfasts in a lovely patio garden full of plants, or a relaxing cup off coffee after busy and noisy day in Kathmandu. The staff was very helpful and attending and they even helped us organise a jeep transfer at an affordable price from the hotel to the beginning of the Annapurna Circuit Trail. We thoroughly recommend this Hotel. It is exceptional and yet at an affordable price!

The hotel staff goes above and beyond . They are ever sming and willing to help. Everyone from security guard, waiters and manager all are very hospitable . I stayed at a deluxe room and it was spacious, air conditioned and clean with decent bathroom. Simple breakfast with eggs, toast and tea/coffee was complimentary which was basic but still good. Overall for the price they charge, I would say its a wonderful deal..

Only issue I had was the location and non availability of elevetar. Location is Chhetrapati which is not Thamel but not too far either. Plus hotel is in a very narrow alley where car/four wheelers cant enter. So if have you lots of luggage, you have to drag it for few meters from the main road. But if you inform the hotel beforehand they will help with that too . Overall nice value hotel with great staff .

This was one of the best places we stayed our entire trip through India and Nepal. The staff were extremely helpful, and even held our stuff while we trekked. Had I known they booked tours ahead of time I would have done so through them. Beautiful, unique rooms (we stayed in two of them between two different visits). Also very satisfactory breakfast included.

The hotel booked us a taxi for the airport, but we didn’t know it couldn’t stop on the way. I had something important to pick up that was a few blocks away and very much in the way, but the taxi driver told me it was a hotel car and hotel policy wouldn’t let them stop. Thus, I spent my final ride in Kathmandu crying in the backseat all the way to the airport, mourning the item I didn’t get to bring home and that I had been searching for over the course of 14 years. Extremely disappointing, but a very isolated experience compared to the rest of our stay.

Nice big and clean rooms. Friendly staff and helpful manager. The hotel is well located and offers a very nice restaurant with tasty food for reasonable prices. We ended up coming back in this place when we came back in Katmandou. Good price for the quality !

We tried 2 rooms and in both of them the bottom part of the rooms menu was cut and it is the part where they indicate the 10% service charge. So they hide this information on rooms menu. The last night the people in the opposite room turned on the music to max volume, and I had to get up and search for the guardian. I did not find anyone and ended up knocking twice to ask them to stop. The second time I had to be agressive to get what I wanted, I would have like the staff to at least apologies for the disturbance. Finaly the first room had a shower located half outside, so it was really cold. At the end it's still a good hotel, I just precise everything.

Rooms varied. no lifts and a 5th floor. Its a very old place so quirky and cute. That means you may hit your head on low doors. I loved it. Stayed twice on the way through and on the way back. My first room was very small but worked and the second was a delight. so its a mix. Staff were exceptional and the breakfast service great. tea just kept coming no extra charge. Location really good. Could get beer and food in the evening.

Hard to find, tucked down a little side street so you need to tow your luggage down or get help. we were fit so no issue. Taxis don't know it so its a search for the sign.
