This small hotel was everything we needed for our holiday in Amsterdam. The location is perfect, it is surrounded by various restaurants (and a food hallen) which you could easily walk to. Tram 13 wasn’t working when we were there, but nonetheless transport was super efficient. A tram stop (Willem de Zwijgerlaan) is literally about 1 minute away from the hotel, which makes commuting super easy. Transport in Amsterdam is very efficient and frequent. The hotel staff was always very nice and helpful. They greeted us with a warm welcome every time we were back at the hotel. Our room was always clean, and towels were changed every day whilst we were out roaming the city. The room was small, but had everything we needed. The breakfast was quite simple, but it is more then enough; great coffee, cold cuts, cheese, toast, cereal, yoghurt, jams, croissants, fruit salad, eggs, juices. Simple yet great and filling. Having read a lot of reviews, and having been assigned a room facing the main road, I was afraid tram noises would be annoying - but they weren’t. We weren’t bothered by the tram sounds every so often. The view from our room at sunset - was beautiful. Our stay was lovely, and we had a blast visiting the city. Also, communication with the staff at the hotel was made very easy through booking.com chat and they answered all questions we had prior to arriving at the hotel.
- The AC in our room was not so cool. Our last night especially was a bit too warm, so we opened our room window for some breeze. - As also read from the reviews beds might be a bit hard, but nothing too uncomfortable. I have read you could also ask for a softer bed at reception :) - A complimentary water bottle would have been greatly appreciated, though there is a mini fridge which one could buy drinks from. Other than that, the hotel gave us all we needed for a lovely stay :)

Staff was amazing and very helpful! The breakfast include was good as well.
The balcony wasn’t very inviting. The view wasn’t good and did not want to sit out there.

Small comfortable hotel. Friendly staff, always ready to help. Excellent Wi-Fi. The main plus is that it is very clean! It’s nice when a three-star hotel has such snow-white towels and bed linen. The room was warm, there was a radiator (even in the bathroom) and air conditioning, so things that got wet in the rain dried very quickly. Another plus is the location. Walking distance to the center is only 15 - 20 minutes. The hotel is located on a street with trams. This did not bother me at all, but if you are sensitive to noise, ask for a room with windows facing the courtyard)).
The bed was a little hard. Although it is good for the back)).

The staff were all lovely.. especially the man that was working on Christmas day..he couldn't do enough for all the guests.. the location was quiet residential, so it was lovely for walks into the city and back.. the spa bath was incredible. Comfy bed and lovely balcony at the back as requested.. rooms cleaned everyday.. tasty coffee whenever you want.
Being really picky!..Although tasty, the breakfast could offer a bit more option.. ie Bananas, yogurt, bagels, hot options. And the kettle that we got from reception for the room had alot of limescale at the bottom so we didn't have any morning tea..but the nice coffee at reception made up for this..

The hotel was newly refurbished and renovated. The toilet was all new. It was super clean what was why I chose it as the first thing. Just 30 mins walk from the central station. The staff were all ready to assist with every demand/request that I had. The breakfast area was really nice overlooking the main road.
Few things - my room was small, difficulty in turning without hitting the small toe in an angle: D. The sink was not in the appropriate position it was hard to use it without getting wet (it was small and it felt under the thingy attached to the mirror that is used to keep things). The pillows were a bit hard.

It’s a good location, just one easy tram ride away from central station. Walking distance from everything, but out of the busy tourist hustle that is the centre. Room was clean. Mattress was very soft and I prefer firm, but it was fine for two nights. The hotel also has a lift which is a bit of a rarity for Amsterdam. The breakfast was decent - what you usually get in Europe. Scrambled eggs, meats, cheeses, croissants & breads & spreads, cereal, juice. Bonus for the fresh ground coffee & proper coffee machine. Would stay again
Had a friend stay one night. I’d booked single occupancy, and they charged somewhere between €60-€70 for the extra person one night stay. Bit of a stitch up since he didn’t have breakfast, a towel or bedding (but I also gave no warning). Cost aside, this is in the neg comments as I learnt of this cost when the manager knocked on my door in the morning and yelled from the hallway through my door “you have a man in your room. I saw you. You have to pay extra.” I feel there could have been a more…hospitable? …tactful? way of informing me of this extra charge. I’d put it in the funny comments section if there was one 😂

- The staff was super kind and welcoming - The position is absolutely great, in a nice neighbourhood, close to the canals and restaurants, and 10 mins by bike from the centre - The room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed
- The variety of the breakfast offering could be improved upon, especially for sweet food. We would have loved to have more choice (cakes, pastries, etc.) - Our room was right by the stairs and, despite the “do not disturb” sign, people going down for breakfast really early tended to be loud and wake us up

Location near route 13 metro line, near to restaurants, need to book to ensure table, Indonesian food popular choice. Breakfast in hotel was perfectly adequate except they can’t cook scrambled eggs, but the rest makes for excellent continental breakfast. Good budget hotel. we went to kerchenhof (tulips) and Van Gogh museum, achieved what we wanted. Water taxis were good and free. Need a city pass to ride the metro buses.
E-bikes ridden ridiculously fast, thousands of bikes going too fast, dirty streets, litter. Bikes just dumped by roadside, getting past them at busy times was difficult. Guess we’re not used to the bustle, we were told that Amsterdam had 600,000 people each of them owned 2 bikes!

The area is lovely, close to restaurants, weekend markets, shops and food hall. Staff was so kind, friendly and thoughtful. I had an early flight and the staff prepared me a to go breakfast as we talked the day before. Very lovely service and I’ve been taking care of because of my food intolerances. Very thankful and grateful.
The bed & pillows were on the hard side, noises and smells came in through the windows.

The room was great. Cozy, warm, enough room. The bed is very spacious and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very tasty, not a lot of choices, but everything was fresh and tasty. Very pleasant experience.
At the time we were visiting, there were some traffic works, and you have to walk for around 11 minutes in the cold and in very narrow streets from the tram station from centre to the hotel. The light in the room and bathroom is so bad 😅
