Little cottage: Comfortable large bed, there is enough pillows to cuddle. Kitchen facilities and whiteware. There were Kitchen towels to dry the dishes, clean the bench top n dry your hands, were provided separately. Washing machine provided. Air condition to keep you cool n warm. Indoor n outdoor seats to chill out. Small compact bathroom with shampoo and shower wash, nice shower with overhead shower n traditinal shower head.

Some plates n dishes were not be cleaned properly...specially plates and glasses were quite greasy. They needed to be cleaned before use.

We liked the fact that this is a small, family-run motel. It was quite peaceful and had easy walking access to the centre of town. The unit was spacious - bedroom, sitting area, kitchenette, bathroom. We appreciated the warm welcome, helpful advice and milk provided. Comfortable bed, with a choice of pillows. Glad we stayed two nights as it allowed us the experience Alexandra. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

A door on the toilet would be good.

Location. Very close to local shops and especially supermarket. Short drive to surrounding towns. Very quiet. Dedicated parking outside room. Private seating outside room. Use of bbq and picnic table. Great for us as we were 2 families so we could easily eat together. Toys for small children were great for us too. Owner very helpful.

I stayed in the little cottage on site. I loved it. It was screened and very private .The way it was designed and kitted out was very good. Inside was everything I required for my short stay. The usual tea, coffee etc but also a washing machine, good storage, private washing line outside and even a hose to wash down car. The king sized bed was a bonus. Lovely views of the mountains and can even see the clock on mountain side lit up at night.

The Motel is set in a residential area and near a road. I did find it noisy on the first night of my first night.

I was exhausted (and carrying an injury) when I got there after several days of long drives on my own. It was cold and dark when I arrived and the unit was homely and had spare woollen blankets, big mugs for a hot drink and the host offered some suggestions for dinner so I didn’t need to think too hard about it. And they helped me with directions to Dunedin the next day given that the weather wasn’t great.

Clean and comfortable. Beds were very good. Some lighting a little off target. Seniors generally need more direct lighting.

Space in shower room was quite difficult to get in and shut the door without almost stepping back into shower. Towel hanger was at the very top of the door and I am only 150cm. Too high. (Unit 9)

The motel is located in a residential area without any traffic noise. Though, there are restaurants in close walking distance. Our room was actually a detached cottage with all sorts of comfort one could expect from a motel. The landlady was friendly and helpful, despite our late arrival.

There were no downsides.

Delightful, quiet, quaint, warm property close to town. Everything is catered for in the room. Staff were lovely and helpful. Loved it so much we extended our stay.

Very minor, would have loved a puffy mattress topper on the bed.

Very comfortable beds and clean unit, there was lots of space. Great lock up area for the bikes, oh and we liked the couches too.

A smoker smoking outside the double bedroom, the smoke came in the bathroom windows. No big deal, but maybe make it a no smoking area?

Great location and very friendly staff. Great bonus to have the car covers for the freezing cold nights. Nice and close to everything in town, but off the main road so nice and quiet.
