The bed was comfy and warm on the cold evenings The hotel is opposite a charming park & quiet of an evening There is an amazing coffee shop close by (Herb & Olive) We did not eat at the hotel restaurant, but it seemed rather busy most evenings (mainly as nothing else is open in town except for KFC or McDonalds)
Felt really betrayed by their description of the hotel, as it was advertised as a 5 star luxury hotel. In fact, this is more on par with a Hotel Ibis or something of a 3.5-4 star equivalent. The hotel is very dated and would do from an overall refresh, especially if they continue to plug themselves as a 5 star hotel. Also we found the staff hit and miss (not in a bad way overall). Most of the front desk staff were very lovely and very helpful, but found the gentleman who checked us in to be very off putting with how eager and over the top he was throughout the check in process. It was a little un-nerving.

Poached eggs for breakfast x2 perfect. Evening dinners fantastic. Staff fantastic. I do think you should be able to get a cup of tea free and not $6. You could bring your own cup of tea down from the bedroom.
A lot of bird poo on my windows. Carpet very wrinkled. It needs to be stretched by a carpet layer. First morning, the ALUMINIUM capping at the outer corner on the left size is rough on the edge where it is Mitred and I got a 2cm cut to my left arm above the wrist, which bleed quite a bit and I still have a band Aid on it. I did tell Lacthon????,(sorry re spelling) and he noted it in the book. I've had cancer and many Lymph nodes out under my arm and I am never meant to get a CUT, SCRATCH or BITE on this arm as my lack on nymph notes cannot fight infection like a normal press and it could cause also Lymphodemia.

Beautiful hotel, my husband and I came for one night for a work trip so we were too busy to enjoy the amenities or have dinner at the restaurant but the room itself was beautiful and clean, and the bed was so comfortable - I think it was the best sleep I’ve had in 10 years. We did have breakfast there & it was good but the most stand out thing for us at this hotel was the customer service from staff, so friendly and polite. Was shocked at the price because it was so affordable but also luxury, We can’t wait to come back for a leisure stay! Thank you
The breakfast was abit limited with hot vegetarian options but was grateful they had eggs.

Big rooms, comfy beds, modern decor, great pool area.... front desk staff were superb - I got really sick so my wife spoke to the staff and they gave us extra late check out with option to stay longer if required, they handled the whole process super well with making us feel inconvenience to the motel......
Maybe improve on the menu a little... more flexible choices - I would happily pay restaurant prices for big gourmet burgers after I spent the day drinking at the winey and at your pool... (same for salads)

Location, cleanliness, staff were friendly and off street parking
On arrival our room wasn’t quite ready so went to the bar to have a drink. There was no one there to serve us and we were there for at least 30 minutes. There was four staff members sitting having a meeting and could see us but did not acknowledge us Also our stay was for four nights, but they put us in a room on the back side of the hotel were as one night stay people had the sunny side with the better outlook We did ask to change rooms which they did for us which was appreciated

We liked the location of the hotel. It was very convenient to walk to restaurants for dinner at night & for breakfast in the morning. Beds were comfy & the shower was good.
I booked a room with a balcony only to discover that we had a ground floor room. When I questioned the receptionist she stated that because the was a sitting area outside of the sliding doors it was classed as a "balcony room". This is not what a balcony room is. A balcony room is not on the ground floor. The ground floor rooms need to be described as having a "patio" not a "balcony". Very disappointing when you are expecting a balcony.

Centrally located in Blenheim, the heart of New Zealand's Marlborough wine region, Chateau Marlborough is a very nice hotel, professional looking with plenty of amenities. We were in the middle of a two week trip, and they helped arrange for laundry, and answered questions about restaurants and wineries around Blenheim. For warmer months there's a very nice pool. Didn't try the restaurant, as there were plenty of restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. If you want to explore the town of Blenheim, it's very centrally located to downtown.
Parking is pretty tight, so if the hotel is fully booked up, you could have some issues getting in and out of parking spaces. It's not a big blocky hotel, almost like a faux villa look, so you can access your room from multiple doors, but in bad weather that means you're ducking in and out of rain rather than safe and dry the entire time. That's not the end of the world, but if you have mobility issues, that could be something to consider. Like many New Zealand hotels, there was not a door on the shower, so if you're from the US be aware that you'll be using all of your towels.

We were upgraded to the grand suite and it was very comfortable and spacious! The whole building has a luxurious feel and had we had more time, we definitely would have used the pool and gym.
A microwave would have been nice to finish the little kitchenette. The breakfast options for the restaurant were quite expensive, and the cheaper eggs on toast left a bit to be desired - for the price I would expect the addition of couple of sides (mushroom/tomato maybe) rather than just egg and toast.

We were upgraded to a one bedroom suite which had the wow factor. The suite had everything we needed and was so clean and comfortable. We received a really really warm welcome and the team were friendly and helpful. Car parking was easy with no additional charges.
The hotel offer 3 options for breakfast - a continental buffet, a full buffet and an a la carte menu. I feel the continental and cooked buffet options could have included more choice i.e. types of bread and baked goods.

This is a lovely place to stay, big, comfy rooms and good service. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was close to town and to Lansdowne Park, which is where we needed to be during our trip to Blenheim. I would highly recommend this as an accommodation of choice in Blenheim.
They had a programme for environmental sustainability that allowed the guests to redeem a $10 voucher if there was no room cleaning service needed. We opted in for this however did not get the voucher. Maybe I didn't know how to get this redeemed, and I didn't ask on checking out. I assumed it would be made available on the day we put the sign out on our door which was before out checkout date.
