It is very fancy but cosy, it is lush but modest, the only part we dislike is the no bath part however the shower has so much pressure it made up for the lack of relaxation. The staff were kind & didnt bother us. Location is perfect. Bed was average for comfort but this is almost the same in every motel we stay at. Thankyou for a great stay!

The lack of comfort of the bed & no bath. Also rhe tv needs to really be on a swivel mount so it can face the bed.

Amazing location (we were going to an event at Hagley park and Bellano is within walking distance away!), easy to find, the room was spacious and really well decorated, comfortable bed, an awesome spa bath, close to the gas station for snacks and a 6 min walk to Strawberry Fare, super clean and tidy, very friendly staff. Everything was just perfect!

This is so minor, but the tv was a bit small. Would be awesome if it was bigger and could be turned to face the bed :)

Love the hospitality of the staff. I was happy with my stay overall, as the room, bed, and overall vibes felt comfortable and relaxing. The location being beside the medical centre which we had to go to was really helpful for us too.

My only issue to be honest is the horrible internet connection. I had a difficult time connecting and had to use up most of my mobile data credits in order to do my tasks for those days. While my partner was watching Netflix, the internet connection wasn't holding up properly and often times was intermittent so the viewing experience wasn't so good either.

I loved the white and black vibes, open space, I really enjoyed the space and I was able to sleep with the dark out curtains. I enjoyed the spa bath too but only for a short period of time as we ran out of time within our stay.

Bigger bed, Husband was cold and had his feet hanging over the edge. For someone whom is 6ft or over 6ft it feels more like two single king beds are together. But other than that he really enjoyed the room and the space and vibe from the hotel.

Everything went so smoothly. Owners were so friendly and understanding. The room was perfect and was very clean. It was a freezing evening and the room was warm when I got there. Cherry on top was they gave us late check-in and late check-out option which made our schedule easy. Found a favorite motel for our future visits. My wife is very picky when it comes to comfort and is super crazy about cleanliness and hygiene, and after a long time, she approved the room was perfect and she enjoyed the stay. Thank you, Bellano Motel. You guys nailed it. 👏

There is nothing to dislike in this motel. Everything was great.

Central location to city center, restaurants and Hagley Park. We chose a hot tub room for just a few dollars extra which I particularly enjoyed. After reading other reviews, I requested a room in the back which was quieter, but the street side rooms may have been just as quiet. Bed very comfortable and amenities pleasant. Manager very friendly and helpful.

No view but we didn’t mind because we were out all day. No elevator to second floor. We packed light so not an issue, but may be for some folks.

The property itself is located at the end of the earth and its beauty is matched only by the serenity and peacefulness. Loved how calming it was. Wish I’d had more time to explore the location and meet the owners, will come back again for sure.

Next time I’ll bring a more suitable mode of transport, 4 tyres, instead of the 2 of my motorcycle haha Just a good part of the memory now riding the shingle road out there. No complaints loved everything

That it was close to town

We didn’t get much sleep on Saturday night due to excessive noise. There was an event close by that was loud music and fireworks and at 1 am somebody played loud music outside our room for a short while. Then at 3am more fireworks. Not your property’s fault but made our stay not as nice unfortunately. Sunday was much better.

We arrived late with our baby and the staff had turned our heater on so it was nice and warm. They had set the cot up already to go and would be hands down the cleanest motel rooms we have stayed in, we boil our baby’s water for her milk and the inside of the kettle was pristine (it’s the little things that can get missed but Bellano Motel nailed every crook and cranny)

The staff are always gracious and warm and whenever I stay I feel welcome and at home. Always my first go to option in Christchurch when I need somewhere that I know is reliable, comfortable, warm and clean

My only complaint would be the noise the extractor fan makes in the bathroom. Because it isn't separate from the light switch the fan comes on when it is not needed and the noise that it makes is extremely loud. As far as complaints go this is only a minor issue, perhaps something to be considered though.
