I was upgraded to a room with a bathroom which was preferable to me, and very good value. Large room with kettle. fridge, table & chair. Kitchen very close by. Wardrobe & bedside drawer. TV on the wall, which I did not use. Location was great for my needs. Quiet & very comfortable

There was some communication difficulties due to language barrier. Accommodation provided restaurant food, but was not very appealing to me. I had one meal there, which was very average....made my own meals in my room.

it was clean and well serviced. The staff were were helpful. The kitchen had everything needed for self catering. Supermarket was very close. There was a fridge in the room. 5 rooms 2 bathrooms.

I did find the house a bit cluttered and chinzy. T The lights were left on in empty rooms during the day and at night. The parking was very scarey. I think a bit over priced,

Location is excellent. If you are after a simple bed and place to clean up with no frills this does the trick. I stayed in a separate building in the back that had the cheap accommodation. Room had its own heater to keep it warm. Staff were also helpful.

Arguably the “outback” area could do with modernising but as long as you aren’t picky it is fine. Potentially could be noisy but guests were all quiet when I was there.

We needed a place to rest for our drive down to Queenstown. This place served a great purpose of being perfectly located in the town onroute. There have been some upgrades to the hotel, our bathroom was new with great shower pressure.

Everything was fine, the shared kitchen only has a microwave, a toaster and a small under bench fridge.

Love the old building, the balconies & trees outside. Gee it has huge potential to be refitted in retro style. Not prim & 'nice', but casual & funky. Like Running Duck. It'd be so fashionable & appealing, but would need the skill to do & host.

Bland hallways with no colour or art. The old bars look pretty boring. Need new life. Funk it up! We're at Primo Cafe in Methven now. So quirky & funky. The Irish Pub here is too. Time to funk up the Crown Heritage Hotel. Perhaps a tertiary design class project ....... The Ara architectural design school in Christchurch might be interested.

Good value for money. Rooms were clean and tidy with a decent sized bathroom

No food on offer even though meals were mentioned on the booking page. It seems the chef had left. Bar area looked pretty basic. No secure parking, just park on the road.

It was the staff that made it, very helpful, greeted us with smiles and warmth. Nothing was a bother. We will remember our stay because of the friendly staff.

The hotel would benefit from a makeover

I liked the cleanness of the room. The facilities are not fancy but comfortable and a great value for money as in New Zealand is not easy to find a room with private bathroom at an affordable price.

The kitchen only has toaster, no stove.
