I recently had the pleasure of staying at Magnolia Cottage, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The breakfast each morning was exceptional—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. It was the perfect way to start each day! Ann, the host, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. She was incredibly accommodating and always available to assist with anything we needed. Honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Magnolia Cottage for anyone looking for a private relaxing and welcoming getaway! Will definitely be my go-to when I'm in the area!

The only thing I can really think of is that there was no streaming device for the TV, so you just have regular channels. I don't think this is really an issue though.

The location was great for our road trip Nelson to Arrowtown. The bed was super comfortable and the shower showed the benefit of a very skilful plumber living on site. Breakfast superb especially the home cooked loaf of bread which we were able to take the remainder with us for eating down the road. Anne was a friendly welcoming hostess and great to talk with. The TV is nice and big and clear and good for weary travellers to relax in front of.

The kitchen, bathroom, toilet and shower area felt quite cramped between the nice large lounge area and the big bedroom. But this can’t be helped due to the size of the cottage and shouldn’t turn anyone off staying. Magazines are mostly 2013 vintage but still interesting to read.

Wonderful view, sheep and cattle with fruit trees. Comfortable bed. Small kitchen and bath ( shower). Our hostess, Ann, was great. There was tea, coffee, hot chocolate , soda in the frig and chocolate next to our bed. In the morning she brought us fresh homemade bed with jam, honey and butter, orange juice and milk for cereal.

Very spacious, very clean and the family running the B&B were all so nice and welcoming. The breakfast was very nice with homemade bread, milk, apple juice, jam and honey. We really enjoyed our stay!

The cottage is full of charm, comfortable and private. Dark, quiet, rural surroundings. The kitchen is small but well appointed. The shower is amazing! It is a shower over tub, so would suit travelling with a small child.

Friendly, super nice and just lovely people, and the cottage wow I absolutely loved it and the beautiful scenery! Aswell as the breakfast the homemade bread was like a fluffy cloud was delicious. 100/10 I'll definitely be staying again

Peaceful countryside location. Short distance away from the town centre. Sheep and cows just outside the cottage. Warm morning sunshine right into the lounge. Comfortable bed.

Ann was very good with communication. Was a perfect location for our stay. Cottage was bigger than expected. Bed was very comfortable and warm. Breakfast was delicious loved the fresh baked bread.

The breakfast was generous and tasty. Loved the warm homemade bread. The living and bedrooms were really spacious and comfortable. The hosts respected our privacy but were pleasantly friendly and very helpful. Great local knowledge.

The kitchen was adequate for what we needed but could be on the small side if you wished to cook a full-on dinner.

Sunny and large living/dining room. Very comfortable bed and quality bedding. Good breakfast with range of options provided. Super shower pressure. Books, DVD’s, biscuits and chocolate were a lovely bonus. Friendly hosts.

The rear outdoor seating and barbecue weren’t really functional. Another set of towels would have been good as we only had one each for our three night stay.
