The fact it was very close to the centre walking distance Like the kitchen facilities although felt a little guilty that we stayed in bed late in morning when the person looking after our room would have had to wait for us to leave to come and do their job Love the shower facilities especially my hubby. We are going to plan something like this with a seat for our extension on our home with our daughter and her family. Thank you to the owner re some history that she knew about that others in the town did not. We later found out that she knows much of the history on this area. I think that is wonderful such a bonus for the likes of is. Your Supermarket in my experience is the best for crackers and cheeses great choices The shops and cafes are fabulous and the Greytown Club restaurant was lovely the people very friendly we enjoyed our meals there very much Would do love to be able to bring my mokopuna here for the July Christmas what an experience

Just a small matter of putting our luggage in a place that we didn’t have to shift it around all the time

Perfect location right in the middle of town . Loved the individual villas in the garden setting ; quiet and private . Too marks too for their dog friendly policy . Whilst we didn’t have a dog on this trip , many other guests did and they were well behaved ( the dogs ) and considerate ( the guests ). We’d very happily put this at the top of our wish list again for next time .

Wonderful location walking distance to lovely shopping area and restaurants. Very comfortable king single beds , perfect for friends travelling. Outlook onto garden and sunny deck for evening wine. Very helpful hosts and staff. One of the best motels we have stayed in

lighting could be a little brighter for evening reading. TV a bit small for the distance, but both were minor concerns.

We have stayed at this motel a number of times. We have enjoyed our stays and prefer the slightly larger garden view rooms. Its a great place to stay because it is only a short walk to the shops and cafes/restaurants nearby. The supermarket is also a short walk away.

The kitchen area does not have a kitchen sink. However, we left our dirty dishes out each day and they were cleaned by the staff servicing the room. So really not a negative.

The unit was centrally located and surprisingly quiet. Noise on site was muffled. It was also clean and functional. No kitchen sink. The shower rose and water pressure were excellent. The bedding was clean and cosy. The mattress was comfortable. Proximity to cafes, bars and shops was a big plus. The staff were friendly.

The garden view unit was situated behind a takeaway food outlet and the fried food smell was initially discouraging. Once inside the unit there was no lingering odour and by nightfall not discernable. The vegetarian was relieved other guests did not use the two barbecues set up nearby. Furniture was sturdy but to be comfortable and forgiving, needed more padding - a metal sofa next to a glass table proved to be a bruising experience for one of us who is vision impaired. Television was set too high to view at length but for the weary traveller a reminder that sleep is more important.

Great location for a weekend stay in Greytown. The room was very clean and the staff very friendly. We had our dog with us and for a small extra charge we could have him in the room with us.

We would have liked the ability to do a little bit of cooking ourselves. The rooms are not suitable for that. The pillows could have been of alternating type (one soft and one hard), rather than both the same. It meant that for me one pillow wasn't enough to sleep comfortable but two were too much. Still minor issue though.

So convenient with shops nearby and beautiful scenery

Nothing with the stay or place at all, Just wasn't expecting to have staff clean the room after each day. Otherwise i would of had kept it a little bit tidy er ,by placing mine and my sons clothing in a tidy er manner. So i apologize and say thanks to the staff who took it upon there self and did that for me ,aswell as worked around them so i really appreciate it thankx

It was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The pet friendly facilities were awesome and much appreciated. As a person travelling alone with a pet, I felt extremely safe. It was also perfectly located with nearby takeaways and eateries.

No real downsides to choosing this motel. Although some previous reviews commented on the lack of a sink in the kitchenette, this was not a problem for me.

location.. very handy to shops and restaurants .. very clean and tidy. was quiet, no traffic noise.

only 1 issue, that was the pillows didn’t smell good at all.. the linen was exceptionally clean. but the pillow and pillow protector had a bad old smell. I would suggest that pillows get washed & aired in the sun.. I don’t believe the pillow protectors are replaced after every time someone checks out. I had to put a towel over the pillow and sleep like that.

Beautiful room, very spacious and had everything i needed for the night. The bed was comfy and the TV was in a good spot for watching in bed. I really liked that I was provided with a cute glass bottle of milk for hot drinks.

Pet friendly but I didn't know about the extra pet fee until checkout which was a tad embarrassing - it would be good if this could be added to the online information.
