We had an upgrade on our room which was lovely, comfortable bed, big modern bathroom, fridge, balcony and nice armchairs. We had drinks and dinner in the bar/restaurant on the evenings of our stay and found the staff knowledgeable, smiling and enthusiastic. The restaurant had a nice ambiance and the food was great although one dish (new menu) was a bit disappointing but I’m sure they remedied it as we were asked if we had enjoyed it.
Our only criticism of the hotel was it was noisy in the early morning from the heavy trucks passing up the main road, not terrible as we are good sleepers but if you aren’t take a room on the back of the hotel.

The staff were very welcoming & helpful at all times. We loved the overall decor of the whole hotel. Our accommodation was luxurious & comfortable, with quality furniture & accessories throughout. The bathroom with the walk in shower was great. Although The Swan is a relocated building and we visited in mid July, we were cosy throughout our stay. The central location worked well for us & we had a delicious meal in the Gastro restaurant.
We can’t really think of anything. We had thought that its location on the main road might be a bit noisy traffic wise in the morning. It wasn’t!

Beautiful room and very grateful for the upgrade to the Dark Skies Suite.
The check in experience was less than ideal. When we arrived to check in we were completely ignored. The girl at front desk was on a call and seemed to be having an issue with something. We understand that, but she never once looked up and indicated that we were there and that she would be with us soon. Eventually a guy came out for the second time and checked us in. When asking for a receipt for the accommodation, I got an eftpos chit for Table 85!!! He did apologise and gave us proper receipt for accommodation. But at the end of the day it was a very shabby non welcoming check in. We will be back in approximately 6 weeks and although we would love to stay again we are not sure if we will due to our experience.

Lovely presented hotel, clean decent sized room with a balcony. Sheets, towels and bed were soft and comfortable. Shower had great pressure! Staff were all friendly and the dinner I had at the pub was delicious. I didn't use the wifi so I can't comment on that.
My room (number 3) was the closest to the road so even though Greytown is a very quiet town there were quite a few trucks travelling through during the night which I could hear. I'd recommend asking for one of the rooms further away from the road.

Our check in was easy and well received by the fun and smiling staff. We were instantly put at ease on check in. The room was very warming and well appointed and quiet with a nice second level view of the well kept gardens. It had all that we needed for our one night stay. The lighting was good as was the shower and bathroom. The location was perfect to restaurants and Cafes for breakfast. We enjoyed our stay. Note there are narrow but beautifully carpeted stairs for those people who may find it difficult carrying their luggage, so you may be best to ask for a ground floor room.
The sitting chairs were sitting under the TV and there was no air-conditioning, however a good fan was provided.

Friendly staff. Upstairs room had initial wow factor and good view of the back and gardens - Dined in and it was a lovely meal. Didn't fancy breakfast bought to room so went to a place in town that was just superb
The sofa in our room was so uncomfortable - we are too old for low sofas. . And we like to relax. The freezer in the fridge needed deforesting and the fridge door wouldn't shut . It was sorted as soon as we told the manager -but it shouldn't be like that in a top class hotel. The women's toilets downstairs were not checked frequently -used tissues all over the floor.

We loved the room. Very quiet. Beautiful looking out on the trees. Very comfortable bed and excellent shower. We appreciated the complimentary biscuits and bottle of beer. Lovely sunny verandah at the hotel for a pre-dinner drink.
We were a bit disappointed that we had seen the open fire burning in the Gastro Pub restaurant when we arrived late afternoon, and booked a table because we love an open fire. However by the time we sat down for dinner at 7pm, the fire was out and the waitress said that they could not relight it.

Nice room, comfy bed. Loved the free bottle of craft beer... nice touch. Very close to everything. We really liked it but thought it did not quite measure up to other similar offereings we have experianced in near by Martinbough. The food in the resturant (Pub) was really good and resonably priced.
The rooms need Aircon...it would be hot in summer for sure Large room with kitchenete but no dinning table. There was outdoor funiture but it needed cleaning, did not use it because of this. For this level of accomidation iI would expect a coffee pod machine, but there was not even a plunger. I think that the TV could have had Sky and Sky sport would have been good.

A gorgeous pub with amazing rooms, we were in Greytown for a wedding so had a number of family members staying at the White Swan, it was a perfect location, amazing food options, comfortable rooms 100% recommend
It was hot!! and I mean hot, the temperatures in Greytown were in the high 20's and sadly there is not any air-conditioning, I think this would have made the stay a 10/10

I was offered an upgrade to a fabulous room, looking onto the main road. The room had a lovely scent in it, and lots of sunshine. There were lovely cosy chairs and the bed was very comfortable, along with a modern bathroom with an excellent shower and nice toiletries. There was lots of information about the hotel and they even offered room service. My burger was delicious. Fantastic stay and can't wait to go back!
The road outside is noisy but you get used to it and it didn't affect my sleep
