Good breakfast for an in-room, from-the-fridge breakfast. Good value for money on the breakfast, comfy and clean beds, good looking indoor and outdoor.

Given that plates, kettle, toaster, cutlery and a fridge are there, why not a basic, small microwave? I t wouldn't take up much room, and it could come handy. $70 at the Warehouse, and it wouldn't be used that much, I'm pretty sure. Also, you need to put some shower shelves / shower basket in the shower: the suction cups ones are $10 at the Warehouse. Much better than having to put the shampoos on the floor.

We absolutely loved our stay at Margrain. We stayed in the gatehouse which was across the road from the main vineyard. The room was really well priced. There was plenty of space and even continental breakfast. So close to many of the great Martinborough vineyards. The lovely lady who checked us in gave heaps of info. We were a bit worried that it would be cold because it’s an old house but the heater kept us nice and warm! Would absolutely come back.

It would be great if there could be a little shelf in the shower to put your shampoo, etc. The bed was a little uncomfortable with some springs sticking into your back. We were sad that the cafe was closed but we still got a wonderful free tasting from the cellar door next to the gatehouse.

For a one night stay the room bed and breakfast was great. The room would be improved with the addition of a sink to clean the cups. Plus a couple of large mugs would have been good. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend Margrain Vineyard to our friends.

We didn't like using the toilet sink to wash the dishes. We didn't like the shower as there was no way to contain the water, the whole floor got soaked, and the shower head was not good, it was like standing under a tap, not a shower. You could do with a blind over the big high window.

A very warm welcome when we arrived where the friendly host explained the wine tasting across the road etc and that she’d left a continental breakfast in our room. Lovely to have the option to purchase wine from our room if we wished to. A lovely outlook onto farmland from a very private balcony and room. A short drive to town.

Gotta admit, the mini fridge next to our bed had quite the personality, letting out some loud and peculiar sounds as it chugged away through the night 😂 Keep in mind though, we normally don’t sleep with a fridge in our room, so perhaps we just needed to get used to the surroundings.

Very relaxing large villa, set in the vineyard. The bed was super comfortable. Huge shower too. Continental breakfast was included, which meant we could get out and about without having to find somewhere to eat. The room was cleaned daily, such luxury. Lovely deck at the back to relax, enjoying a glass of Margrain wine. We also had a complimentary wine tasting, a great extra.

The only thing was there was no extraction fan in the bathroom.

Good sized room, featuring a large private balcony, dining table, lounge area, and an excellent shower cubicle. Guests can enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast and wine tasting.

The location is a bit distant from the main square, making it less convenient for walking to dine out at restaurants. While it’s walkable during the summertime, it’s too dark to walk back after dinner in the winter. Unfortunately, the facility lacks a microwave, which would be useful for reheating takeaway meals

The location was excellent, just a 20 minute walk into town. It was also very beautiful, loved the balcony/decks for morning breakfast. The staff were all really nice. We had an issue with the door staying closed and they were responsive and offered great customer service with a bottle of wine for the trouble.

We thought the breakfast was just sufficient, not bad, not good. Everything else was great!

The additional space in the Suite and the quality of the furniture etc. The bathroom definitely the room of the suite, with both a good sized shower and separate bath :)

That all the sunlight went into the bathroom, made for a gloomy interior for such a stunning space. Outside area could have done with a bit of spruce up, not great looking out of the window and seeing a mousetrap etc.

Being on the vineyard with balcony at back to sit out and look over countryside. Good size room with dining space. Comfortable bed. Selection of wine bottles available in room to buy.

Outside apartment could have been swept clean of cobwebs & dead leaves. Complementary wine tasting at cellar door with our check in info wasn't available since shut at 3pm which was same time as check-in. Staying one night only. Sachet of washing up liquid for repeated use of tableware would have been useful.

We were in the garden room at the gatekeepers cottage. Large private room with good outdoor furniture on deck where we had a nice breakfast that we made from the supplied ingredients including delicious plunger coffee. The room looked out to a rustic garden and across to vineyards. Lovely big shower.

No kitchen bench or sink just a small shelf above fridge with toaster & kettle on it. There was no room to prepare drinks or breakfast, we dined on the deck.
