Really enjoyable. I booked my accommodation last minute and wouldn't usually spend this much to stay somewhere however the need was a must and I wasn't disappointed. Check in was simple, the room was clean and comfortable. The little courtyard was really cool and the kids could ride their scooters on the path and kick a ball on the grass. loved the functionality of the kitchen. Left something behind in the room, was informed before I even made it home and was sent and received in less than 24 Hours, Much appreciated!

The mirror in the bathroom on the wall sideways haha. The single beds in the bedroom for the kid would have been great however wasn't a huge deal just would have made it easier to get things done while the kids were in bed.

Good location, clean serviced apartment, friendly people to deal with. Lots of space, room was set up nicely with TV that allowed you to watch from bed and from the chairs easily. Everything we needed to make food. Felt private and didn't feel like you would make to much noise for the neighbors.

I think a bed topper would make the bed more comfortable. I felt comfortable sleeping on the bed but the next accommodation we stayed at had a topper and elevated it, so that's more a suggestion not a criticism. Think it would have been good it the washing machine was free and there was a washing line to hang your stuff. ( can understand the dryer costing but would be good for washing machine to be free, or at least a way to get coins for washing machine on the premises).

Lovely clean and tidy good quality apartment, well maintained grounds and very organised hosts, a good amount of space and really liked that you have two doors between bedroom / lounge. Very close to everything, the beach, the mountain, supermarket, town centre.

Just being probably too picky I felt that the courtyard area could have a bit more personality - a tree, a coloured umbrella, just something to give a sense of homeliness and not too concrete.

Room has great facilities and very quiet. Love the TV with Sky

The bed was uncomfortable, I could hear the springs when I sat on the bed. Might be time to replace the mattresses. I stayed in room 1 which had beautiful black out blinds on the main window, but then the kitchenette window and door had no blinds which meant the morning sun shone in brightly. Not a big issue.

We have stayed at The Strand on several occasions and the rooms are consistently well maintained, very clean and tidy. The location is perfect for us as we have family in New Plymouth.

This is a very minor gripe. We normally have a room that has access to a private outside area with chairs that is lovely to sit out in. This time we had a smaller room with no access to a private outside area.

Good size studio, mostly excellent facilities, especially the bathroom and size of the kitchenette

I had problem with the hob and couldn’t get it to operate. Unfortunately there didn’t appear to be any instructions to help. Fortunately I was able to use the microwave instead to prepare the meal so I didn’t need to get the assistance of the host. The check in was unusual - the office was a small unmanned space and I had to call the owner to confirm what unfit we were given. I’m not sure if that information was provided prior to our arrival but I couldn’t find any confirmation in the emails we were sent. The bed was a bit hard for us

1 bedroom apartment- Clean, tidy, modern and comfortable. Big beds and well equipped kitchenette with full size fridge, microwave and even a dishwasher. There was a tv in both the lounge and the bedroom - both with Sky Boxes.

Not enough parking. Not sure if people had guests over or several cars for one room. We had to park on the road; not a huge issue.

Great location, very comfortable stay with everything we needed.

The only thing I could fault was our room not being vacuumed or provided one. We stayed in the family room, and anyone with children knows how messy they can be. One of my children has a dust allergy so this could have helped with that. But other than that it was a very good stay!

Location is convenient. We booked this place because the room has a kitchen complete with essentials for cooking. Appreciate how they clean up the room each day including the dishes - thank you.

Minor thing but the toaster can do a good cleaning.

The rooms were absolutely stunning.. the whole unit was.It was high end style, quality furniture ( the relaxing chairs especially), magnificent kitchenette and stunning bathroom. The main bedroom was separated from the lounge by the bathroom with a super king bed and 2 equally comfortable single beds in the main living, with the comfy chairs and a perfect sized dining area for 4 ( perfect if you need to work) and still so much space to move around. We arrived very late and our hosts left our apartment open for us.There was also a lovely courtyard for morning coffee . These apartments are truly upmarket and I would highly recommend anyone to stay. such a shame it was only for one night . A++

There is absolutely not one thing to dislike. it’s so central to the city and water and parking is right outside your front door!
