Easy parking. Great view if you have a balcony on the front. Staff were lovely. Apologised the restaurant was closed. Suggested local cafe (don’t bother. Promise waffles and a scoop of yoghurt for a kings ransom). How we local members club, open to all, had amazing food overlooking. Harbour.

My room overlooked the petrol station. Literally above it. Asked to twin beds. That was not available. So she sofa bed. Had I known before. I’d have booked for balcony room which also had sofa bed. Fire alarm went off so we lost a hour by the pool in the sunshine. It kept going off so we eventually left the building.

We had the less beautiful view this visit (our choice) but the room was just as spacious, comfortable and well laid out as our last visit in 2022. Bed was lovely, shower great, lovely choice of shampoo, conditioner etc. Easy access to rooms and the availability of an on site cafe/restaurant was a lovely bonus - nothing like sitting in the morning sun with a great coffee and a muffin ! The location is superb and gives great access and the location means you can easily walk to 3 different restaurants if you dont want ot eat at the hotel.

I wasn't aware (probably my fault) that rooms weren't cleaned or bins emptied each day, I have often been given the option to opt out of this service but did ask that bins be emptied which was done with no issue.

2bd/2ba apartment was spacious. Full kitchen and laundry were useful (the onsite market is pretty well stocked). Furniture (sofa, bed) was comfortable. Perfect location for catching a boat to visit Poor Knight’s Islands. There were four places w/i walking distance to eat out. Quiet.

Only one bathroom has a shower and that one is accessed from one of the bedrooms. Therefore, everyone in the apt has to go into that bedroom to use the shower. All three rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows that face a patio and the pool area (in three days we only saw one person out there). The windows do not have sheer curtains, just blackout. So, no daytime privacy and natural light.

Room was great - loved the big, openable window allowing the afternoon sun to pour in. Location especially good if you are here to dive or boat. Proximity to Ngunguru and the bays further North is a bonus

It will be great when the restaurant opens next month, although there are several easy close options just along the front. Nothing I didn't like!

My room was stunning and well appointed looking out over the marina

The food was less than great, apart from the breakfast. The dinner menu was sparce in choice and what I did choose turned out to be 5 black tasteless mushrooms and chunks of beetroot - I left most of it. An hour later I rang the restaurant as they advertised in the compendium that "room service" was available but when I asked to have a bowl of chips sent up I was told I had to go down and get them - not impressed with that

Location good. We have stayed here many times over the years and we just love it. Dana on Reception was so nice, friendly and helpful.

The fact that we tried calling the Hotel itself re car parking and an arrival time with no reply to our calls! One occasion was put down to a technical fault on the lines, or so we were told. Not sure about the reason on the two other calls? We did let the Receptionist know.

Room is very modern, spacious, clean and comfortable. Excellent location with several restaurants nearby

The check in experience was poor; we arrived at 1pm in the middle of a storm and without even checking to see if the room might be available the reception told us to come back at 2pm. When pressed, she ungraciously went to check and sure enough the room was ready and we did not need to go wait anywhere in the rain. This is the 23rd hotel we stayed at during our trip in NZ and the first time that staff did not try to accommodate a room on our arrival. Pretty poor/lazy customer service especially considering the hotel’s higher price/star rating and the weather on the day! Also, we went diving early the next morning and returned at 5pm to see that someone (guest or staff) had flipped the “service my room” card back to “do not disturb” so we had an unserviced room that night.

Quality Hotels Tutukaka was so nicely appointed with every little detail perfect. It was as though the owner was personally caring for decor, cleaning, and comfort. It is right on the harbor within walking distance to boats and restaurants. The hotel restaurant was excellent too. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms were large and very nice. We would definitely recommend this to anyone!

They were amazing when I had to do a last minute booking with a very late check in. Very accommodating and clear instructions on how to check in after hours. The rooms were clean and spacious and had two bathrooms which helped with having our family stay. Overall I highly recommend booking with Quality Hotel Oceans Tutukaka.

A very nice hotel. Everything you expect with a modern hotel. International standart. A restaurant with breakfast and nice food for dinner is in the same building. There is not much to do in Titkaka if you are not into diving. The town, if you can say so, is very small. It mainly is the hotel building including restaurant, supermarket and shops and family homes.
