We loved our staycation at Achway Motels and Chalets. Host Mark was exceptionally helpful and accommodating towards the guests requests. The accommodation had everything one would need for a comfortable stay including paid laundry and hot tubs. Our toddler enjoyed the swings and the trampoline in the kids play area at the front. The kitchen was well equipped including a microwave oven, and dishwasher. The rooms were very clean. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would give it a five star rating and would highly recommend this place. We would surely love to stay here again during our next visit to Wanaka

Wanaka is an amazing place to stay. I get the impression that most travellers use Wanaka as a stop off to the Glaciers like we did. If i was planning my trip again I would spend at least a few nights in Archway motel, Wanaka. The hosts Jacqui and Mark can not do enough for you, they really are the best hosts you could wish for. Mark went out of his way to help my wife and I reschedule our trip to the Glaciers following the road closure at Hass. I can not think him enough for his reassuring assistance. Add to the above, the chalets are extremely high-end, comfort, quality, home from home. My wife and I would stay here again and for longer if we get back to NZ. The property had everything you could ever need. If I traveled with a family, I would come here. The location and amenities are amazing! The laundry facilities were so useful for anyone trying to travel with carry on luggage. The owners went out of there way to make everything amazing for us! Even calling us after we left to let us know we left something behind - AND when they realized we were too far away to pick it up, they arranged shipment to our next location. I cannot say enough good things about the place. I would 1,000% stay here again.

Staff were friendly and shared a lot about what we could do in Wanaka and where to learn more. They informed us about the webcams around Wanaka that could tell us what the views looked like before we make the decision to trek there. Parking was easy and convenient, located right in front of each unit. Each unit had it's own wifi setup (wifi and password). The kitchen was functional, easy to use, and sufficiently stocked with basic cooking ware.

The windows don't see to be sealed tightly when closed, they are just latched. As a result, even when all the windows were closed and the heater was on, we felt a bit cold. To deal with this, we just increased the temperature on the thermostat. It's location is a bit farther from the places from Wanaka center, but as a result, you get a bit more space and solitude.

Lovely place, short walk from town, very comfortable rooms and the owners were very helpful and friendly. We made use of the Weber BBQ and the washing machines. The room was spacious and the couch was comfy. The shower was excellent temperature and pressure. Would definitely recommend and stay again. There is some construction behind the rooms to expand the place but it was very quiet and didn't disturb us at all.

Whilst the king bed in our 2 bedroom place was very comfy, the single beds were a little lumpy but still fine.

Location was central. Room was very clean and bathroom looked brand new. Shower was really good.

Like a lot of accommodation in New Zealand, no air conditioning. Windows open to let in fresh air but also let in huge mosquitoes. Closed windows but second smaller room then becomes too warm. As advised in advance, construction was going on but due to construction fencing, made it quite difficult to reverse the car in and out of driveway. Will be better once construction complete.

Owners were very friendly and approachable. Lovely to have a chat to! Family studio was perfect for what we needed. Construction happening onsite directly across from our room but the owners were very honest and upfront in communicating this to us before we arrived. This was not an issue for us as we were out during the hours that they were working. Kids loved the little playground area. Close to everything. We were able to walk pretty much everywhere. Would stay here again.

Great location right above the city center, all the restaurants are within walking distance and even one of the wineries (the Maude winery) was right behind the corner, so we paid it a visit. The lady at the reception was very friendly and overall super helpful. The room was very clean, the kitchen well equipped and the A/C was a great addition (apparently you can’t find it in every hotel in NZ). We only stayed for one night, but it would be perfect for a longer vacation. It it also very calm and I can imaging that it’s quite kids friendly.

The price was a bit higher, but you definitely get what you pay for.

Our studio room was spacious and immaculately clean. Beds were comfortable and with electric blankets which were needed on the night we stayed. The kitchen was well equipped and our room had a lovely open view to parkland. Across the park was the main road into town but we heard no traffic noise at all. It’s a quick walk into town and all that Wanaka has to offer in the way of eating, drinking, shopping etc. The gardens are beautiful. Our host was welcoming and informative about places to eat and activities we might enjoy. I have no hesitation recommending Archway as your home away from home in Wanaka.

From check-in to the requested later check-out accommodation, everything was outstanding. 5 of us in a 3-room chalet with a family room and kitchen. We were able to get 1 -1/2 weeks of laundry washed in the on-site laundry space. They had hot tubs up on a hill with a view, that we were sad we didn't have time to use. Close to Wanaka city center and walkable to some restaurants. The staff was warm, kind and so very helpful. Would recommend to anyone traveling to this lovely area and would return if we ever got back there!
