Deck with great view of golf course. Excellent breakfast included so very good value for money. Good standard of amenity - modern decor, well supplied bathroom. Large rooms and two tvs.

Unit attached to hosts' home although they were friendly, helpful and respectful of our privacy. More suitable for a couple than a family - two seater table and pullout sofa bed in lounge for children, however hosts offered us bed in second unoccupied unit for teenager at no cost in preference to sharing sofa bed with 11 year old. Extending vinyl into lounge area would improve kitchen amenity. More hooks for towels would improve bathroom amenity.

Our stay at this property was absolutely delightful. The quiet location, nestled conveniently near a golf course, made it the perfect retreat for a relaxing getaway. It’s an excellent choice for those seeking peace during trip. The accommodation itself is spacious enough and well-maintained, with a clean and inviting atmosphere. A really nice apartment with a small kitchenette, lounge, bedroom and a giant bathroom. The owners were away but the text communication with them was super easy. We traveled with a toddler and found a mattress and linen prepared for her. A simple breakfast is provided. It may seem that there is no cooktop in the room, however a portable cooktop can be found in the cupboard. The beach and a playground is just 5 minutes away on foot.

The kitchenette is really small so cooking dinner (or any other substantial meal) would be rather tough. We had dinner in town so that wasn't a problem for us.

This beautiful 1 bedroom unit is part of a 3 apartment home that overlooks a beautiful golf course It was super quiet, super clean, and relaxing. Pamela and Robert live on the property so they are available for questions and recommendations. They are wonderful hosts. The little kitchen area was stocked with breakfast makings that went well beyond the customary coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and milk that we found in other places we stayed.

Nothing- it was perfect - clean, updated, and bright.

The owners Robert and Pamela could not have been more welcoming and helpful. On arrival Robert told us he had given us an upgrade to the larger apartment. The apartment was modern, spacious, with a large comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom, as well as a well equipped kitchenette. The wall to wall glass rear window and deck with seating provided a stunning view over the golf course. A substantial continental breakfast was included in our room. The next morning we asked to stay an additional night to allow us to go to the Oparara Arches, a four hour return drive. Unfortunately the two apartments were booked that night but Robert went above and beyond by showing us another apartment in a different complex and even quickly organising some breakfast supplies for us. Robert also suggested having dinner at Donaldo’s Cafe and Beach Bar at Carters Beach where we had a lovely dinner that evening. We would love to stay here again and would certainly recommend this accommodation.

Just a one night stay with older friend. Asked host to set up fold out bed in lounge and he had. Saved two middle aged women the hassle. He also sent message with specific directions to property….apparently Google is a bit misguided! Juice, fresh milk, yoghurts, butters, jams, small selection cereal and bread along with the usual tea, coffee caddy. Very generous.

Breakfast was a great continential breakfast. The hosts were great and allowed us to store our bikes in their garage. I was just disappointed that the weather did not play ball for me to have a game of golf on the fantastic Westport golf club!! The location was very handy to the Kawatiri Coastal Cycle Way which we enjoyed in the rain.

Nothing I did not like

Beautifully designed. The hosts were wonderful. The sliding door or your bedroom opens onto a golf course that hugs the ocean. Although the room was small the high ceilings and overall design made the room feel more spacious.Very quiet area. Westport is a 5 minute drive. Will stay there again on our next trip back to NZ. There is also a one bedroom unit that I would recommend for longer stays

Lovely quiet location. View of golf course. Hosts were lovely and had upgraded us on arrival, which was very generous of them. Room had everything you needed, and having a bath as well was a luxury. Host recommended Donaldo's for food, which was a 10 min walk away. The food was very nice.

No negatives

Everything! The location is fantastic, set on the edge of a golf course, it's quiet with just the sound of birdsong and Ocean. A quick drive or bike ride to Cape Foulwind and Tauranga Bay Seal Colony. Hosts Robert and Pam are so welcoming and helpful. We would have loved to have stayed longer. The apartment is very comfortable, clean and well equipped with a really comfy bed. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay 👍

Lesson learnt... don't leave windows open and lights on, the mosquitoes will invite themselves in 😂
