Our Superior Double Room is spacious with a hallway and a separate bathroom. The bed is large and comfortable. Wifi is good and easy to use. The breakfast is good with many options, particularly, you can take away a large box of food from breakfast selections for your lunch (enough for a couple) at a price of NOK 95. The hotel location is good, within walking distance to the main attractions of the city. Also, the hotel has 11 designated parking spaces in a large public car park about 50 meter away at a price of NOK 250 a day.

The price for parking is a bit high.

Had a wonderful experience here. We arrived late after a flight and were exhausted. The front desk attendant was very helpful and cheerful. We received a free upgrade, which was incredibly thoughtful and greatly appreciated. The room was very spacious and clean. I really enjoyed taking a warm bath in the large tub after a long day of walking. The bed was very comfortable and the free breakfast was also nice. They also have coffee and tea 24 hours which I appreciate.

The first impression we got with this hotel is that it cares about being sustainable: the RFID key card was made from wood instead of plastic; the shampoo and soap were organic products from refillable dispensers rather than cheap stuff to tick the free toiletries box, the free coffee was provided in ceramic mugs rather than disposable ones. Our room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Everything had a slightly dated impression, but nothing was damaged and begged for replacement. One could open the windows to get fresh air. Air conditioning was not available, but also not needed during our stay. The shower had good pressure and was spacious. The breakfast was good with plenty of choices: veggies, cereals, eggs, warm and cold options, savoury and sweet food. It also provided some options for lactose and gluten intolerant people. We would stay at Hotel Noreg again.

This is more a list of things that could be improved than something we did not like. The hotel aims to be sustainable, yes uses disposable egg holders at breakfast. On Booking.com, it states that the hotel has no parking spots but parking is possible in a public car park. The latter is true: there is a caravan parking lot close by that also has spaces for normal cars. However, this lot also has 10 parking spots reserved for Hotel Noreg. Something does not add up here. While the breakfast offered plenty of choice, one could tell that the items were from the low-end range of Norwegian supermarkets. Maybe it would be nice to increase the quality a bit?

Hotel Noreg was a very pleasing inclusion on a travel itinerary on which most stays have been at budget accommodation. It was very satisfying to enjoy a range of breakfast options which took into consideration my food allergies. The hotel staff were extremely helpful in keeping with the quality service mindset which we have experienced across Scandinavia.

I believe our final charge was quite different from that which was displayed on my Booking.com account. I will seek further information from Booking.com.

Our room and the breakfast were absolutely perfect. The spacious accommodations exceeded our expectations, especially with the complimentary upgrade to accommodate the children's bed. The convenience of parking right in front of the hotel was a huge plus. The gym facilities surpassed those found in typical hotels, offering a fantastic workout experience. Moreover, the addition of a sauna was a good surprise, providing a relaxing retreat after our exercise sessions. Overall, our stay far exceeded our expectations, making it an exceptionally enjoyable and comfortable experience. We highly commend the hotel for its exceptional service and amenities, and we look forward to returning in the future.

I was very pleased to be able to return to Hotel Noreg since my previous stay was a very positive A+++ experience. Once again, I appreciated the immaculately clean room, very comfortable bed that contributed to sound sleep, the generous & delicious breakfast, & the great value. The closet is very well equipped with many items. The location is very walkable to Ålesund's best sights & experiences. Customer service from the staff is the best that I have experienced anywhere -- this is where you really shine! 🙂 Hotel Noreg is the only place that I will stay in Ålesund. Thank you very much!

I did not like having to leave!

The location is walking distance from the main transport hub. Nice modern Art decor all around the public area and the room was quiet and spacious. Due to early departure didn't spent much time there to "enjoy" breakfast it was absolutely fine tho. It rained heavily that morning and the receptionist kindly provided us two big plastic bags for covering ours belongings.

The earlier receptionist lady were smile-less. May be just a bad day! Cheers Lady

We arrived at the hotel at 12.30am after disembarking from our cruise and there was someone there to welcome us. Our room was very comfortable and there was a lot of space. The bathroom was very nice with a hot shower. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choices. Shame I did not have time to try the gym as we stayed only one night. The hotel is very convenient for staying before or after a cruise and it is centrally situated. Check-out is at 12.00 so we had time to explore Alesund before our flight.

I was very pleased with my experience at Hotel Noreg following a 15 hour ferry ride. Solgunn checked me in after 12:30 a.m. and was very helpful with helping me plan my bus schedule for the following day. Accommodations were perfect, with a room that was immaculately clean and comfortable. I appreciated the generous breakfast in the morning. The price was very reasonable. Manager Thomas shared information about the hotel's vast art collection. Sylvia gave good information to help me find my way around Ålesund. Leonhard went above and beyond with helping me arrange an out of season ferry ride to a small village. Each of these examples demonstrate the commitment of Hotel Noreg to superior customer service. This positive experience prompted me to book my return visit to Ålesund and to stay at Hotel Noreg. I look forward to seeing everyone then. Thank you!

Lovely corner room larger than standard (I would guess) with everything we needed for a good stay a couple of nights. Beautifully decorated and seemed like this was quite recently done. Very good breakfast with a lot of choice and friendly and helpful personnel. Short walking distance to everything Ålesund centre has to offer.

Not much - was missing milk for coffee in the room but the reception helped with getting some from the breakfast room.
