What a fantastic position Flam Marina is in, the development has been excellently designed and the views from the apartments are stunning from your private deck area. The apartments are cosy and well equipped with everything you might need. The on site restaurant serves high quality food, the cod and salmon dishes were the best we have tasted anywhere around the world - the chefs know how to cook fish. Flam marina is a good area to visit various landmark points, travel there on the Flamsbana and leave via a boat trip down the beautiful fjords.

When the cruise ships come in!! Luckily where they moor doesn't impede the view from the apartments but the huge amount of people stampede over beautiful Flam!! We understand the Norwegian authorities are going to stop these huge ships coming in to the fjords in 2026 and that will be a blessing for this beautiful country.

Great location with spacious rooms and good facilities. The views over the fjord were spectacular even though we had terrible weather. Easy and pretty walks along the fjord to get into town. The breakfast wasn't particularly great, but it was OK.

The car charging facility that we read about at this hotel was a great bonus for us... only we needed an adaptor for our rented Tesla that they did not have. We were then told that down the road there was someone who would definitely be able to assist with an adaptor (another facility owned by the hotel operator). When I got there they said they couldn't help. Just a bit annoying as it was one of the main reasons we booked here.

-We had a double room with fjord view. It was right on the water and had a spectacular view. - The room was immaculately clean and very spacious. It had a shower, basin and mirror on one side and a separate toilet, basin and mirror on the other side of the room which made it easier for us when getting ready. It also had Rituals products in both the bathroom and the toilet. - There were chairs inside facing the view and a table and chairs outside as well. - We enjoyed a delicious meal in the restaurant. - The bed was very comfortable. -The breakfast was plentiful and tasty and our seating was facing the view. - We were very pleased we chose this hotel over others at Flam. It’s only a short walk (7 minutes) away from where the train arrives but it is far enough around the fjord to be in a peaceful location. The train side of the fjord is busier and has food outlets and shops. When other hotels’ view was obscured by cruise boats, Marina Flam still had an open view up the fjord.

We were happy with everything.

The view of the fjord from our room was spectacular and there were no tour ships at port during our visit. I loved that we were a few steps away from the town and had a clear view down the fjord. The room was very nice and tastefully decorated. Robes and slippers were provided along with chairs in front of the window. There was plenty of space for our belongings and the split bathroom worked great. The private patio outside our door was very nice as well even though the weather was a bit rainy and chilly. Our breakfast was fantastic. I would have loved to stay another night!

Our dinner was not as nice as we expected. We had fish soup and the shrimp toast and the portions were very small and while the taste was fine it did not really impress us as a full dinner.

Everything. The room is clean well designed looks nice no complain. But the view. It is THE best view in all of Flam. I can safely say it since it is literally in the end of the fjord and the windows look into it. Restaurant has the same view. For this price you won’t find better. The breakfast is also good and they were saying sadly they can’t accomodate my vegan girlfriend too well because they only have veges and potato. We found there pancakes, waffles, beans, oatmilk, salades etc. All in all she got pretty full in the end. The staff is super nice and helpful. I recommend it so much..

That i had to leave after one day.

As we travel with child, we do expect more space, privacy and peaceful atmosphere, and this hotel can give us all that. We can enjoy the great scenic view from our balcony with a sip of wine while talking, it is the great part of our trip to remember. We stay here for 2 nights to enjoy the view and complete our activities, hike, bike, boat, and zipline that make us have full of joy. The hotel stay away from Flam station about 400m but it is good for us who love isolation and quiet place, the room is lovely and clean, the bed is comfy, the bunk bed is good, inside the room they have all needed facilities. The breakfast is good enough for all age yet not much as we expected.

The Flam Marina hotel is in a perfect location, just a short walk away from the shops & restaurants. It is quiet & has an AMAZING view of the fjord. every room has a balcony. We had a 1st floor room, with an extra large balcony to just sit and enjoy the beauty & solitude They also had a very good hot cooked breakfast in the morning with the same spectacular view

a few people in my group had an issue with towels & were charged for an extra towel. Seemed strange

The location was AWESOME for the view, although it was further away from the bus stop than I expected: about 15' walk with luggage as opposed to the expected 5'. And it's also not visible from the bus stop, which made it a little harder to find. The "room" is more of a 2 bedroom apartment with a kitchenette fully stocked and 1 bathroom with limited toiletries. For us, the place was HUGE - wish we could've stayed more than the 1 night. There were 4 beds, 2 twins and 1 bunk bed, and they were super comfortable. We had a 1st floor apartment, so the kitchen opened up to a nice patio area that overlooked the fjord and marina. The restaurant in the complex was also EXCELLENT at dinner, serving the best fish soup I had in Norway (I had 3 different ones). The included breakfast was adequate, but not spectacular.

Not having electrical sockets handy by the bunk beds was difficult. The only socket available was at the foot of the bed near the floor, and both outlets there were used by the bedside lamps, so the person on the top bunk really had no access to an outlet.

The location of the hotel was magnificent. The room overlooked the fjord directly. The hotel's restaurant was right by the fjord. The door of our room opened directly onto the fjord. (It was the only room where the door opened directly onto the fjord. However, all other rooms have balconies with magnificent views.) The staff were very polite and attentive. The room was very spacious. The toilet and bathroom were separate and very convenient. There was a coffee machine in the room. They offer private parking service to customers. There wasn't anything we didn't like. It's truly an amazing hotel. We were pleased with everything. We would like to stay here again next time.

Flåm Marina is a very beautiful town. The temperature tends to be low, and every room has a balcony with breathtaking views of the fjords. Serves delicious breakfast and the dining area offers exceptional views worth mentioning. The morning scenery is calm and tranquil. The room I booked has two bedrooms: one with a double bed and the other with bunk beds and a small tiny window. The bathroom with underfloor heating is highly commendable. The brand of toiletries provided is Rituals. In summary, the most beautiful aspect is the view from the balcony. The overall room design leans towards a countryside style, which, though clean and cozy, feels a bit dated.
