Location was good, 5 min away from Turtle reserve, Dinner was tasty, quite a few vegetarian options, Breakfast was average. Room was big, Well done up. Bathroom was clean, Hot water. No complaints on that front.

the Reserve gives priority to Guests staying at their own property. At 830 in the night, with Children, it makes sense to stay in the reserve, rather than wait for 1 hour for the turn to come, for guests from other properties. Also, please do note, 12 OMR per head is extra visit charges per Adult and kids above 6 if your staying in this property, or any property other than the Reserve Property

A beautiful camp in the surrounding of the harsh Rocky Mountains. We were immediately welcomed by a very friendly team. The layout of the camp is beautifully planned. Our luxury wooden house was a dream to stay in because of its generosity, local natural materials and atmospheric light. Good bed, good shower, everything worked fine. The breakfast pavilion is nice to sit. Every morning and evening we had a slightly different meal. Imran the good fairy served us with his warm charm and read our wishes from our lips. The surrounding area is nicely kept, watered plants, clean ground, excellent subtle light in the night. We stayed four days and did little trips to the surrounding areas and we loved it. It’s very recommended!

The hotel is nice and feels unique. The private semi-outdoor bathroom is a nice added touch to give a special experience (if you don'tlike outdoors or not having A/C in the bathroom, then this is not for you). The room itself has an A/C, which worked very well. The hotel is a bit secluded from other buildings and the natural reserve, yet still close enough for you to reach there in a couple of minutes by car, which is great. The food in the restaurant was decent, nothing special but no complaints there. The staff were kind.

The reception told us that since the natural reserve was only a few minutes away, we shouldn't go early and that arriving around 8:45 for the 9:00pm departure was fine. Fortunately we decided to go at 8:30pm and even then we almost missed our chance and had to argue with the staff at the reserve to let us in as there were already so many people. So don't listen to this and go there early, especially on weekends and public holidays.

Our stay at Sama Raz al Jinz was an absolute delight. The staff's exceptional hospitality, especially towards our little one, made the experience truly special. The unique resort is really a very special location since it offers a magical night under the stars in the middle of Oman. You are close to the beach and to Sur for some excursions. We also would like to highlight the great food offer in the morning and at night. We enjoyed it very much. Overall, Sama Raz al Jinz provided a perfect blend of home-like comfort and an extraordinary Oman experience. We highly recommend it to those seeking a great stay in the Sur region.

we chose to stay at SAMA Ras Al Jinz to provide easy access to the Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve without having to stay at that hotel where the Turtle Reserve was. And it turned out to be an excellent idea. This hotel is very close to the turtle reserve, just a short drive away and is far more intimate, with a lot less people, much more peaceful and comfortable than the Turtle Reserve hotel we saw. Each hut has a very nice outdoor seating area so we can relax. The en-site shower is partially outdoors (while private within our room), the buffet was elaborate and delicious and the beds super comfortable. The hotel location is also quite secluded so we felt like we were completely in nature the whole time.

The hotel is located about 5 km from the turtle sanctuary and hence we selected it to stay. It's situated in the middle of large open lands on all sides. The rooms are rustic but comfortable. The staff is very nice and helpful. Saw our first stray camel here which excited the kids no end!

The breakfast could have been better. There was a single lane road close by which had some noise during the day. And there was some random garbage here and there in the open lands outside the resort. But really not much to complain about.

if you visit the turtle beach , this is a more affordable choice at short distance.

we finally decided not to do the turtle tour visit before sunrise or at sunset, because we spoke with a biologist and at this period of the year there is no guarantee and groups are to large and not fully in line with preservation ethics. We visited the beach at daylight before noon which is free and worth the scenic beach

This was the best place we stayed during our road trip in Oman! We loved our deluxe bungalow and it seemed they were very looked after. The cinema was absolutely amazing to have as well! Perfect location close to the turtle reserve

Nothing that impacted our stay but the movie at the open air cinema starts at dinner time which prevent you from watching it from the start. Food was ok but we weren’t amazed. (They didnt have many people so we were served at the table rather than have a buffet)

Really liked the location: close to the turtle reseve, but just far enough to be outside the buzz of cars arriving and parking. Large, beautifully themed huts. Great staff and nice food - only note about the food is that the menu was somewhat repetitive as we stayed at three different Sama locations in four nights out of five days.

Mattres slightly firm for our liking, but overall comfy beds.

Needless to say this is the type of gateway - discover Oman - eco friendly property that we are lucky to have in Oman. The area is breathtaking. Best thing? The shower under the stars. Highly recommended.

Not necessarily negative points but you may want to consider, depending on your needs: - Meals (except bkf) may not be served if occupancy is low. Makes very much sense, as it is a eco friendly lodge and surely food waste is something they consider as well. Personally I highly approve. Anyway, you have options few mins drive away. - No WIFI. Like their motto says, connect with each other. If you are the type of workholic person that needs to always be connected, may be an issue. I am, and despite this throw me off a bit, I was thankful as I forced myself to disconnect and it is really important.
