I chose to visit Finca Lerida as part of my solo travel adventure, and it didn't disappoint! The grounds are green and lush, and a floral fragrance fills the air. It's a beautiful scene day and night. My room was clean and a good size, with a fireplace and a large hot tub inside!   One of the servers at the coffee plantation restaurant, Roosevelt, is a Boston Red Sox fan and proudly wears his hat! The food was delicious, and the service was excellent! They even sang Happy Birthday to me in English and Spanish. I didn't even tell them it was my birthday—that's how much they paid attention to the details!  Xavier, the manager, also provided excellent service by checking in personally to ensure things were going well! Before breakfast, I enjoyed the beautiful and steep walking paths. Breakfast is delicious, with fresh and sweet fruit. My server was Eduardo, who provided great service! I encourage you to drink the coffee, as it's meant to be served black, without sugar or milk/cream. It's harvested here, so it's purely delicious!  The coffee is a must. Our tour guide, Jose, was knowledgeable and made the tour fun! There's also a coffee tasting at the end that is informative.

I recommend running the shower for 20 seconds to warm it before stepping into the shower.

The staff at this hotel / finca are amazing. Everyone is friendly and willing to take time to offer advice for things to do and places to see. The restaurant is amazing and Sarah concocts fantastic food. If you want to do a coffee tasting, Gorge is the best person to go to, with details on everything coffee. Roosevelt and the rest of the staff will take care of everything you need. Cesar leads the bird watching tours and he is amazing at what he does and how he can find the birds. Jose runs the coffee tours and shows how the process works so everyone understands.

The facilities are old, some dating from 1914. That is what this place is, the first commercial coffee farm in the Boquete area. The rooms are quaint and smaller. They do offer king and queen beds in the rooms and the showers are large, but the buildings are old and you are staying in a rustic environment.

Location - close to beautiful nature, possibility to observe birds right outside the window. It was easy to organize to take part in the very interesting tours (coffee, bird watching) with amazing and very knowledgeable tour guide Cesar. Furthermore breakfast was great, and staff in restaurant and reception was very nice too

Recommendations: it would be helpful to have a kettle in the room to be able to make a tea

Don't think of this place as merely a "coffee plantation" or a "guest house" or "hotel" or "bed and breakfast." This is a high-class joint on a mountain with terrific views and a fabulous restaurant. The staff are great and if you like nature (or would like to get into better communication with it) the tours are amazing. (We saw humming birds so tame you could walk right up to them) It also will be your first step on the road to becoming a coffee connoisseur. Highly recommended.

Nice comfortable rooms. Good showers. Hammocks and good outdoor furniture for each room. Wake up to birds. Amazing grounds and hummingbirds and flowers everywhere. Good trails, all up. Birding guides available there, but not cheap. Take jackets. Can be socked in with fog, rain, and bajareque. But plenty of intense sun at 5,000 ft +. Restaurant food is gourmet and excellent! Pastas ~$15, steaks ~$35. Good expensive wines and drinks. Service can be s l o w. Would have been nice to have coffee makers in the rooms. Conflicting staff advice on the potability of tap water. Taxis from Bouquete ~$10, to David airport, $40. Ok bus from Boquete to David Airport every 20 minutes, about $2. A very memorable part of our trip.

The breakfast of this hotel is my absolute favorite. The view, the food, the quality of the ingredients... everything outstanding. And last but not least, the coffee... perfection! Highly recommended: mushroom omelette.

We stayed with our french bulldog, and boy, do I have things to say about this "petfriendly" hotel. I signed a consent letter with policies / restrictions for admitting my pet. One of the policies was hilarious for me "pets are not allowed on the restaurant, coffee shop, etc", why on earth would you say you are petfriendly but your restaurant doesn't allow them, put a couple of chairs and a tiny table on the grass and that's it. At the end they let us have breakfast with our dog (in a corner) but it felt almost like begging. No one is forcing you to be petfriendly if you don't want to acommodate pets that's perfectly FINE.

The most tranquil oasis you can image in the cloud forests. You could sit all day and smell the flowers and watch the hummingbirds flit from flower to flower. The coffee tour is fantastic and the hiking is very nice. The restaurant was exquisite, if a bit expensive. You could stay here very happily for a few days and not need to leave, but the location is prime for catching a bus to Boquete or the waterfalls hike. The staff were friendly and attentive. I loved it here :)

Lovely place in the middle of the mountain and surrounded by coffee plantations. The wooden cabins are really beautiful and super comfortable. Huge bed and complete bathroom. We did the coffee tour and was an amazing experience, learnt about all the coffee process, history of the Finca and even tasted different types of coffee. Breakfast is included and is served in the restaurant with a beautiful view. The Finca is huge, there are several trails to do but couldn't do them due to the rainy weather (typical in this area). The garden is outstanding, full of beautiful species, flowers and designed with a lovely touch.

Breakfast is OK but could be more complete or include more things.

The location, the hiking trails, the food was fantastic and the staff. Everything was so beautiful about this place. It is a well run and well maintained hotel in a beautiful spot. The coffee was excellent so we bought a bunch of packets for gifts. Highly recommended.

We think a complementary coffee tasting could have been included in the stay. They are selling coffee, no?. We were cancelled out of two coffee tasting tours and never got to do it.

The hotel is located in the middle of a working coffee plantation. The plantation dates back to 1911 and the hotel was established on the plantation in 1955. All of the original buildings have been kept in excellent condition. It’s a beautiful property

The staff are very friendly and attentive. The tour of plantation and coffee production operation is very interesting and informative.
