I liked the large pool by the apartment.

I didn't like the fact that the pool by the apartments is always dirty, I wish they could clean it every morning, not just putting chlorine. Also very important if there could be a permanent tarp Shae or a roof to keep the pool cool and not boiling hot during hot sunny days.

I like that the pools were available with limited restrictions. I also liked that apartment set up, which allowed me to cook the dishes I wanted to eat.

I don't like the fact that there is no Lifeguard on duty at the swimming pool. It's a must in a public setting there has to be a risk management team and that includes lifeguards. I'm not happy about that. I like to enjoy a few and if I'm enjoying would appreciate a team keeping an eye out for my children.

The apartments were very clean and accessible to swimming pool, airport and others. the more satisfying for me was that, there was a complement for the all inclusive meal, this has rest well for me.

Nothing that I don't like, all was good for us, just the laundry at apartment was not working, its a minor issue, if that can be looked at, it would be very nice place to stay.

The hotel is beautiful. Everything is modern, spacious and completely clean. The staff were respectful and friendly. The shuttle to the airport was amazing because I needed to go back several times. Breakfast was incredible too. The best hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

Really it was perfect

The property is close to the airport which was excellent for early flight.

One thing I realized about the hotel is the customer service when we bringing in our baggages. The staff won’t really helpful in assisting us to carrying our baggages out respective rooms.

The one bedroom apartment facing towards the airport was good except for the other one to two bedrooms units that were next to the main road was a bit run down.

The beds are comfortable

I like the convenience. I stayed at Gateway because I had to transit through POM to other locations. All I needed was a place to have breakfast, lunch and dinner and an airport shuttle. Gateway provides all that. Overall, I had a pleasant stay.

The reception area looks dull, the first impression you walk in should be the welcoming atmosphere of the reception, and the smiles and attentiveness from the staff.

Sort of a tradition to stop at Gateway when transiting or overnighting in pom so in my opinion it's comfortable and familiar. And the beds are super comfy. There are a variety of places to grab a bite to eat at Gateway which is convenient given its distance from the downtown area and other popular spots in pom. Jack's Bar & Restaurant has a nice view of the airport and the restaurant vibe in particular is very chill. Never super crowded. Rooms are also super spacious. And one of the best things about the hotel is that it's so close to the airport and the shuttle bus is always travelling between the hotel and the airport. Even if you're just transiting through it's a convenient spot to go to for lunch before heading back to the airport. Checking in was also quick.

My only issue this time around was I left a small bag of food from the cafe in the airport transfer bus when they dropped me off. Wanted to retrieve it so I called the hotel to advise I'd wait for the bus when it came back - but somehow my parcel went missing. So that was annoying. Never happened before with any of my luggage...but perhaps the lemon cheesecake was too good for someone to pass on 🤷🏿‍♀️ ALSO they probably should have a covered walkway for guests to Jack's which is at the back of the property (in case it's raining).

1. Room was excellent with multi channel TV. Unfortunately 60% of the channels were scramble. Needed looking into 2. Airport transfer was delayed. 3. Food was good. I enjoyed the dinner 4. Overall I'd recommend Gateway Hotel to any visitors to Port Moresby

I was satisfied. Given the pandemic, water jars removed from the room. However, bottled water provided which was good. As a below knee amputee, I'd recommend disability access be considered to include ramps, wheelchairs, etc. Maybe 1 or 2 rooms can be redesigned to allow easy access for people living with disabilities. Gateway may consider including disability support provided on its information brochures. An amputee climbing up the steps to the reception is giving me the impression that Gateway is no place for people living with disabilities.
