We had a big room with an amazing view, and it was very clean. The bed was comfortable even thought it was a bit hard. The hotel it’s on a quiet street, with almost no traffic. The breakfast was also good. We really enjoyed the garden. Overall we were happy with our stay
- the lack of noise isolation combined with the music in the lobby makes it very difficult to rest during the day or early evening. - they don’t give you a key to enter the property, so if you get unlucky and come back at the hotel when there is no one at the front desk you will have to wait a few minutes, which can be annoying when it rains - you don’t always have hot water, warm-ish yes, but not always hot

Breakfast buffet was excellent with loads of options. They delivered warm rubber water bottles before bedtime to put in your bed and make it all toasty - a special treat, for sure. The front desk was extremely helpful with suggestions and organizing taxi rides when needed. The property is beautifully landscaped and we spent time sitting out on the patios, taking in the city views, playing cards, and drinking wine.
It was all wonderful! One bit of information that is important to understand is that the roads leading up to the hotel are steep and narrow, so if you're not in good physical shape, it would be challenging to get around by walking.

Everything at Encantada was great. What stood out the most was the staff. All of them made sure my stay was special. The location for me was perfect. Because it was above the city, my biggest challenge was climbing the stairs to get back up to the San Blas neighborhood. I am in good condition, but usually had to stop once to take a deep breath. The chef at breakfast was such a hard worker, and always had a pleasant smile on her face. They even brought a hot water bottle to my room in the evening to make sure my feet would be warm.
I didn't like the fact that their food menu did not include traditional food preparation, but seemed to cater more to western tastes. At the same time, I ate out every lunch or dinner. It was good not to rely on the hotel, which allowed me to explore many traditional and modern eating establishments.

The customer service from the staff was superb. The outdoor terrace on the main level offered stunning views of the city. The property was within walking distance of the Historic Center (granted, coming back was all uphill) which provided great convenience. The breakfast, while limited in scope, was very good. We felt very safe and secure at the property.
I traveled with my grown daughter. We both stayed in single rooms on the main floor which worked out great. The rooms were very adequate, but they could use a facelift. Don't select this hotel if you are looking for a 5 star option; however, if you can look past some of the cosmetic items, the value is excellent.

Absolutely fantastic hotel. From pre arranging massages and an airport taxi everything was great. Excellent communication. The road outside the hotel was shut as we arrived and they immediately dispatched two helpful guys to help us up the street with our luggage. Massages were fantastic. Rooms very clean. They kept our luggage whilst we went to Machu Picchu. Breakfast is splendid - perfectly cooked omelette to order amongst lots of other delights. If I am fortunate enough to return to Cusco I’ll be back!
Not the hotels fault but when you’re acclimatising to the altitude the walk up from Plaza de Armas is a killer!

Beautiful Hotel in San Blas with amazing views of Cusco and a beautiful garden with several seating options and a bar. The whole staff was very kind but Evelyn was of special help - thank you!! Very responsive via the booking.com chat, much appreciated and very helpful! Every evening the staff makes sure to turn on the heaters in the rooms and put a warming bottle in each bed - we loved that as it gets quite fresh at night in Cusco and it’s such an outstanding gesture! We highly recommend this hotel for everyone who is good at walking (note that this hotel is almost on top of the hill and it’s quite a walk and quite some stairs to get there from the center). Taxis make it into the street and will leave you just at the door of the hotel. However, bigger Vans cannot enter and will pick you up / drop you off a few streets down.
The hotel did not provide filtered drinking water, also not during breakfast (only hot water). It’s pretty normal in all Hotels I’ve stayed in Peru, so this surprised me. Good breakfast buffet but not too many veggie options - if you’re vegan like me then you can have some fruits and cereals and they organized almond milk on request. The only thing they didn’t have were any gluten free bread options. However, the cereals did not contain any gluten which was great. Tip for the hotel: it’s very easy to find gluten free crackers (“Sanissimo Salmas”) in Cusco’s supermarkets that would make your gluten free guests very happy 😉

We loved the hotel with such comfy rooms with amazing views of Cusco. We had such amazing service, and the staff is so helpful, attentive, and kind. They make you feel like family. The breakfast is top notch, great selection of fresh food each morning. We loved it! We were so grateful to Josue at the front desk. He helped answer all our 21 questions about cusco and macchu picchu. He coordinated our cab services for our day trip and helped us print all our tickets. Very grateful! We would return in a heartbeat, but maybe next time without our little ones so we can explore more. Sending our greetings from our travel group of 21 family members, we are all thankful to you all!
I would say it's hard traveling with little ones to this location. It involves a lot of stairs.

The availability of coca tea and coffee at all times in the lobby was really appreciated. I had some altitude sickness, and the tea definitely helped. The service from staff was really exceptional. Everyone was super helpful. Having hot water bottles placed in our bed every evening was a wonderful touch!
The location was beautiful, with great views over the city. However, the location up a steep hill from the city could also cause problems for travellers who havent yet adapted to the altitude of Cusco (3,400m!!!). We found ourselves walking down to the city centre and getting taxis back up as we didn't feel great walking up hills at that high altitude for a few days.

We loved Hotel Encantada so much! My friend and I stayed at this hotel for a total of 5 nights, before and after the Salkantay trek. The location in San Blas is perfect and there is a lovely view of Cusco from the rooms and garden/ terrace- it was a lovely spot for morning coffee. The showers were hot and beds comfortable, and breakfast was lovely! Most of all, every member of the staff at the hotel were so kind and hospitable and I felt like they worked so hard to make everyone feel cared for. They really made it a perfect experience! When I return to Cusco, I will definitely choose to stay here!
Nothing!

This is a hotel that lives up to its name and deserves every positive review that it has. First, it must be stated that the view this hotel provides is absolutely spectacular (be prepared for the hike up though)! The rooms, although cozy, were very comfortable with high quality linens and blankets. Finally, the staff. They were all so friendly! This place is a true gem.
I didn’t LOVE the trek up the hill every time, but I knew before I booked it that this was going to be the case. That said, it helped me burn off lots of extra calories! The hotel is also kind of noisy in the morning, so if you’re a light sleeper, this could be an issue.
