Ana is an excellent host, she was very welcoming and made sure to show us around and that we have everything we need. The breakfast was great, there's always fresh fruit and various sweets available, and the lounge where it is served is astonishing. The room was clean, beautiful and stylish, just like the pictures. Ours was facing the mountains, so we got to enjoy the beautiful view. It's not far from the Douro river (10 min drive to the N222), so it's an excellent choice if you're here to visit some wineries as we did, and to drive around and soak up the beautiful scenery.

Beautiful and comfortable rooms. 4 minutes away on foot a churrascaria (grill restaurant) serves fantastic meat dishes mainly for the locals. Very good breakfast. In summer, 3 minutes away there is a perfect spot to observe the setting sun over the mountains.

The property’s maintenance and upkeep is exceptional. Carla in the breakfast room was a pleasure and went out of her way to help us.

The skeleton door keys are a nuisance and not necessary. It could also be a safety risk if the room needed to be vacated quickly. The hotel should look to upgrade their door lock mechanisms.

Anna was wonderful and made us feel completely at home. She was also very helpful in advance as we were planning activities in the area. The location and views were spectacular, especially in the evening and the morning. We were so pleased that we decided to stay overnight in the Douro Valley rather than doing a day trip! It is a lovely decorated, cute boutique hotel. Go the restaurant next door too - Regional Fonte Nova - a great experience.

A lovely room with a wonderful view of the mountains and a delicious breakfast in a charming space. We hope to return. Staff were very helpful during a difficult situation that arose. A recommended restaurant for dinner was also a highlight.

We experienced parking in the designated lot as challenging at particular times of day when it was full of cars.

The interior of the rooms and the lounge was so beautiful and the owner has thought about every little detail of it. Ana was a really friendly host who welcomed us when we arrived and served breakfast. The breakfast was delicious and fresh with self made food! This is a must visit in Douro and great price-quality!

One of the best places I have stayed in Portugal. Very cozy rooms, well designed, with attention to detail. Overall a great location to explore the Douro Valley. Amazing view and tasty breakfast!

The room was well decorated and had an amazing mountain view. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The staff was extra friendly, they turned on the AC before we arrive to keep the room cool, and gave us some bottles of water, what came in handy due to the hot weather.

The bathroom was open (what is possible to see in the pics, so no problem there) but the shower was not well isolated and a lot of water came out to the floor during the shower. I don't know if it is temporary, but the breakfast is not on-site (they give a ticket to a nearby coffee). It was good, but I was disappointed. Another thing to improve is maybe to provide a small space in the room to work, instead of having a chest of drawers.
