All staff were friendly and helpfull especially Antonio. Our room looked out onto the garden which was a lovley spott spot to sit. It is worth having an evening meal in the restaurant the quality was excellent (and you get 10% discount if your a resident!). Location was perfect right in the heart of the city, everthing walking distance. We had a slight issue in our room which was sorted straight away.

The shower was difficult to keep in a straight line so bathroom floor got very wet. The bar was only open at certain times of the day. This was not a deal breaker as so many cafes/bars in the area

Lovely setting in the Old Town of Braga. Beautiful building inner communal areas with seating and lighting for reading. Room was charming, very clean and we had a lovely meal in the stunning Restaurant. Breakfast was a really good choice of items. The outside courtyard garden was pretty but weather not kind enough to make use of it.

My daughter is Vegan, not by choice, and we do know this can pose problems. Dinner option was lovely but breakfast was difficult. Fruit and juice, cereal and Soja Milk the only items she could have, did have bread (not sure if this contained dairy). No ill effects so ok.

If I had to pick the one best reason to stay at this hotel it would be the staff. They go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome. There were so many insistences of staff members going out of their way to accommodate us or help us in some way to even mention them all. That's not even mentioning the hotel itself which is a wonderful place to stay. It's really a cool historical luxury townhouse. Updated where you want it to be while keeping the traditional charm. Clean, comfortable, quiet. The only thing that was even slightly loud was our morning wake up call from the local rooster. In truth, that made it even more charming. Did I mention the location? I don't think it could be better. Sitting on what once must have been a wide boulevard the old road is now a pedestrian walk with the street for cars across the center park section. Walk out the door and you enter history A 3 minute walk gets you into the center of the tourist-old town section but you get to walk back into a quiet tree lined park/boulevard. I hope I didn't forget anything and I'd like to thank the staff for making us feel so welcome. Special thinks to Anna who showed us how to use reverse! (manual cars in Portugal have a different (and for us) tricky reverse on the trans)

There is not one thing I didn't like.

Beautiful building full of history. Tastefully decorated throughout. Our room was actually a suite with a beautiful sitting room. The bathroom was huge, beautiful marble, two sinks and a spa bathtub. Outlets on each side of the comfortable bed, beautiful windows opening onto a small terrace, with wooden shutters to block out street noise and darken the room. Big plush robes to lounge around in. The staff at this hotel went above and beyond to ensure our experience was memorable. We had a fantastic dinner, with impeccable service at the hotel restaurant. Better food and service than another Michelin star restaurant in Bilbao. I was really wanting a martini before dinner, and the maître d, while not a mixologist, made a fine dry gin martini! Really a fantastic stay at this property. Cudos to the entire staff!

What’s not to like? It’s fantastic!

The location is excellent! Very central and walking distance to many of the main attractions, shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel has that historic feel. The room could use a little freshening up which is why I'm not rating it a 10 but that said the room was very clean and comfortable and quite spacious. Breakfast was included and offered a good variety of food selections - would classify it as continental. It was good value and I would stay again without hesitation.

wonderful location in the heard of the city. The hotel is quite nice. It is set in an older building but with nice/recent amenities. The rooms are reasonably well equipped and comfortable. The restaurant is very good with attentive service.

Parking is not as easy as I would have liked. The hotel has 3 reserved spaces on the avenue about 100 m from the hotel. The problem is that anyone can grab the spaces.

The location is excellent, as it is in the old town in Braga. There is no traffic noise as the hotel is located in a pedestrian street. The hotel is in a beautiful old building. For those wishing to try good Portuguese food, we highly recommend the hotel restaurant. Staff are lovely and extremely helpful, they genuinely try to help you have a wonderful stay. We had some rather minor things to report to reception - the lady working there said they did not want us to leave feeling bad so we were offered a sumptious dinner at the hotel restaurant. The buffet breakfast here is very nice too.

The hotel rooms could be redecorated - even a layer of paint might help. One of the neighbours keeps chickens so I woke up to this rooster crowing. The hotel cannot do anything about this, but I must say I find it odd that the city allows this. The air conditioning in our room did not work properly so we would open the window to cool the room down at night. When the window and shutters are closed, the crowing is less disturbing.

Very quiet, easy walk to the centre, little garden at the back. Very helpful staff.

Little bit old-fashioned. No way of making tea or coffee in the room. At one point the hotel appeared to be locked and you had to telephone for a member of staff to let you in!

I loved the location because we could walk everywhere. Parking was included for free. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They knew the area and were eager to insure that we had a fabulous stay. All the staff was fluent in Portuguese and English which was helpful when communicating. The buffet was on point, it had so much to choose from and everything was fresh. The buffet breakfast was over the top. The balcony in our suite was the best part of our stay. We had fun hanging out late at night and having coffee on the balcony early in the morning. We had 2 balconies. The room was clean and well stocked. The towels were large and soft. The blow dryer worked great. The room was spacious. I like the decor in the rooms. There were 4 large closets to use. There was plenty of light in the rooms. There a few things that can be improved…The tub was old and very high to enter. The refrigerator did not work and 1 full day we didn’t have WiFi or cable. It was ok because we were out and about most of the time. The room needs plugs for phone chargers in outlets or on lights. Magazines and newspapers were not available to read during breakfast( that would be helpful). It would be helpful to have a small gift shop. The area between the office/ check in and the restaurant needs to be more organized. The only improvement for the bathroom is a new tub and the bidet is too close to the toilet. The room needs one more trash can in the bedroom area. A few bottles of water in the room would be great. I would love a bit of a keepsake from the hotel maybe a towel or cup. Also, there was no phone to call the office. It would be nice if they gave you a history of the hotel. I know it was a 4 star hotel but we enjoyed our stay as much as 5 star hotels. I would recommend this hotel to friends and I would stay here again. We loved the staff, the balcony, the downtown, the free parking. Since the WiFi was done, I know that was not there problem. It was down for the whole area.

No WiFi . It was out. Needs newer tub and the bidet moved away from the toilet. Needs ports to plug in your cell to charge on newer lights. Needs a broom so we could sweep, the refrigerator didn’t work, the cable and WiFi were out for 1 day, I would like newspaper to read during breakfast, having brochures and maps available in the lobby Clean up the room between the lobby and the restaurant

The hotel room at 3/F garden view was amazing value for money. I especially like the big window that can fully open to see the city view and the moon at night. Friendly and helpful staff with pleasant atmosphere. The breakfast included a wide range of buffet options, especially like the bread and fruits. Good location that in the centre but also quiet. Also, close to a number of bus station.
