Staff was very kind and left us a bottle of champagne for our friends birthday without us even asking it! That was a nice touch and overall very nice whenever we needed something. The price is really good and common areas were delightful taken care. The breakfast was really nice and plenty of options and space. Runs over a really long period, so it felt really nice!

Not having internet around the hotel, with exception of the reception, is not normal in our days, and my friends as foreigners, were hope to use it for free to connect with their families, in the comfort of their rooms.

When you have a car, this location is perfect starting point. As other reviews say breakfast is every day the same but I would not say poor. A lot of options from bakery stuff, English breakfast, ham and cheese etc. We stayed 7 nights and it was perfect. Price vs quality - totally recommend!

Walls are thin, so you can hear quite clearly your “neighbors”.

Close to the airport, spacious and clean rooms, multiple pools, parking for free within few metres around the roundabout. Kind and smiley staff. Overall we had very nice stay and would recommend except breakfast. Plenty of restaurants in front of the hotel. Can recommend Snack bar Neptuno.

The BREAKFAST, nice place, outdoor terrace, comfy seating but the food is terrible. Scrambled eggs like you may read in many reviews, they are right. Mushrooms sunked in oil, rotten lettuce, eggs from powder or dried out? One thing I do appreciate is the variety of bread/coffee. Now it is 3star I did not expect much but this was not ok. Considering the potential of the hotel it is shame.

The location of this property was great! There’s a nice strip of restaurants & bars across the street. You can even walk to Cristo Rei for a small hike/photo opportunity. Short drive into the city of Funchal, so you can still enjoy the city without staying in it. Easy to get taxis/a car service if you’re not renting a car. The outdoor areas were beautiful. Two outdoor pools, plenty of lounges, outdoor plants make it feel so tropical and stunning!

The free breakfast was the same everyday and to us wasn’t plentiful enough to keep us full for a long period of time. No Wi-Fi in the rooms BUT there is access within the lobby and places to sit and hangout.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel and would like to share my experience. • The location is fantastic, just a short walk from Cristo Rei statue, offering a convenient base to explore the area. • The room was clean and well-maintained, with a stunning view from the balcony. • There are plenty of cafes nearby with delicious local food • Breakfast was a highlight – a tasty buffet with a good variety of options. • The staff was friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist. • The relaxation area was well-organised, providing a peaceful space to unwind

• Unfortunately, there was no Wi-Fi in the rooms, which was a bit inconvenient. • While the bathroom was clean, I did notice some mold, which could be improved.

Breakfast was fine, but everyday the same - it would be nice to have a variety. Room had a balcony with a nice view.

In our room we had a small kitchen, but there no equipment at all (not even fork or knife, not even talking about plates or frying-pan). So it was a waste of place in the room.I would not recommend to spend additional money for the kitchen if you do not have all that equipment). The small TV that we had in our room was not working properly (image was blurry), so we had to ask a few times until technician finally came the fallowing day and changed the cable.

close to various cafes, shops. the place is quiet and calm. the hotel is interestingly conceived. breakfast is not wow but normal, tasty black bread. view of breakfast from the terrace is beautiful

No internet in the room! Just in the lobby. A little too old, looks better in photos. Very few sockets. The kitchen has no utensils. The TV is very old, it's barely clear what it's showing.

Best part of the hotel is the breakfast buffet. Every days we stayed has something different. And you need it for the hikes. Only thing is buffet starts at 7.30 n sometimes you miss the sunrise. They also have indoor pool and the bar offers good prices. Rooms are clean and got everything you need.

Only missing parts were no WiFi in the room and parking is not available. Can do paid parking in front of the hotel but sometimes there’s no space.
