The hotel has an amazing location, facing the Atlantic, seconds from the beach, breathtaking view. You could not ask for more. Walking distance from the village center, with many shops, restaurants, cafes and everything around. People say it looks old school, vintage style, it is. But that is the charm of the hotel. I could not imagine any Ericeira postcard without this building on it. It is on my childhood memories since I was a kid.

The cleaning could just be a tiny bit more accurate. My floor vacuum cleaning could have been better and I all my toiletries were totally empty. At 11pm I didn't t want to bother with that, and it was a one night stay. Thats the only reason I didn't said anything at that moment.

This was an a rather self-indulgent treat for us - a stay in a rather more luxurious hotel than we usually choose, and it didn't disappoint. The hotel is a lovely building in a spectacular setting, and has a charm of its own - quite old-fashioned in a nice way. The staff were welcoming and helpful, with a special mention for Sr. Fábio in reception who first welcomed us. We lov ed the pools and the drinks and snacks (we recommend the club sandwich) at the pool-side bar. The breakfast was generous and quite lavish. Our room was comforatble, and although we hadn't paid for a sea view, we could see the ocean from our window! In general we appreciated everything.

Excellent location. Very good breakfast with plenty of outdoor tables. Three elevators. Lovely pool area with plenty of sun beds Comfortable basic room overlooking the sea.

Buffet dinner. We only tried it once on the night we checked in. It cost 27 euro per head. There was a nice salad bar but hot food was mainly comprised of rice, pasta, fried potatoes, fries, more rice and very little else! Definitely would not recommend based on selection that evening!

Loved the long leisurely breakfast on the sunny terrace. Great range of breakfast food hot, cold, savoury and sweet. Omlettes, eggs and pancakes cooked to order. Delicious pastries for after,. We had a lovely spacious twin bedroom with a balcony but no sea view this time. Overall can't fault this lovely hotel.

Step in bath shower. No problem for us but could be an issue for older people with mobility problems. We put a small towel in bath to avoid slipping.

Service staff - Alexander the Asst Director / Manager was Fantastic , he had a keen eye for detail and was very helpful , Bernardo , Sofia , and the entire front desk staff were fabulous , Mariana in the dining room was very Courteous, and always served with a smile , all other dining staff also very good , João at the pool bar was fantastic and all guests loved his service , Val and Ioio, at the kids club were superb and my son loved them and looked forward to participating in activities every day . The GM also was very attentive and his presence was felt around the place . Had a fantastic week ..

Breakfast very good but milk could be placed near the cereals? Coffee quite cold.

Not your problem but we were charged 200euro by a totally dishonest taxi driver to come from airport to your property there were 3 of us? First impression of Portugal not great to say the least. Maybe an idea to let people know the approximate cost from the airport. Total extortion!!!

This is an exceptional hotel -- for its history, its location, and for the high quality of its rooms, facilities, maintenance, and staff. The views from the hotel are stunning, in different ways at different times of the day. Our fifth floor view was especially beautiful. Though located right on the edge of the ocean, the hotel is within walking distance of several useful and charming locations and services. We used a nearby beauty salon, small lunch counters, bank with indoor ATM, ice cream stand (first-rate, Italian-style gelados). We did several walks alongside historic beach front, in a small park with children's swings and slides, and on small old-town streets. Nearby is a charming old European style square bustling with families and children and elderly persons. A wonderful feeling. The food at the hotel was terrific. It was buffet style, both breakfast (included) and dinner (paid for separately). There was an immense choice of food items for both meals, well prepared and elaborately laid out. The staff was first-rate, especially those assisting at meals and the front-desk staff, who were readily available and efficient in meeting our particular needs. The staff cleaning the rooms were also wonderful, helpful, attentive, and thorough in making every day pleasant and comfortable, and keeping the room clean and well-stocked with fresh towels and other bathroom items.

A few things about the room facilities. Refrigerator space was meager, which made it difficult for us coming from places where our refrigerated items (on which we relied for lunch, for instance) had been easily accommodated and could not be easily stored in this hotel. Also some details about the bathroom need attention: no fan, slippery bath tub and shower due to no mat.

The location was amazing, right on the cliff side with beaches to the left and right, restaurants cafes less than 5 mins walk. Staff were super nice, informative and helpful.

For some odd reason there was a musty/dusty smell on the floor we resided in. And the smell was also in our rooms. It may be the smell from a cleaning product but it was extremely strong and not pleasant.

This was a great hotel in the center of Ericeira, close to everything you need. The facilities are great and the staff was super friendly. Breakfast was delicious with freshly made omelets and other delicacies.

The only thing I can think of is some traffic going up and down the elevators and probably not enough parking space for all the guests in the hotel parking (even though there is also parking outside the hotel).
