We normally struggle with vegan-friendly options but this place met our expectations. They had vegan options for breakfast and some other alternatives upon request. Apart from that, the location and facilities were excellent!

Only cold water showers in the morning with available hot water at night. It was Summer so it was not a problem for us but I really do not know if that was "planned" or a technical problem. Nevertheless, this was a minor thing considering all the other positive aspects.

Easy chack in and check out, the staff is really nice, specially laura, she’s super cute and talked to me in spanish. I was lucky and had the room for myself during my stay. Everything pretty clean. A bit of noise from outside during the night but nothing that didn’t let me sleep. The room had a lovely view and there were a lot of restaurants around. It was the perfect choice with the perfect location. Breakfast was great: coffee, chocolate, bread, milk, ham, cheese, mermelade and good quality fruit.

Well appointed hostel with a good breakfast included. 4 bed women's dormitory with only 1 or 2 in here, in January. The reception is staffed 24-7, and the staff were friendly and helpful, most had excellent English. Location good for exploring and for local cafes. Comfy sitting room downstairs.

A few little annoying problems with the dormitory - a missing bed light, only 3 electric sockets, all located together, bathroom door that didn't close, and a shower that took ages to get warm. These would have been bigger issues if I'd had more company!

The location was great, it's right in the city centre! It's about a 10-minute walk away from a free parking place. Check-in time was until midnight, which was perfect for us, since we arrived late. The bedroom and bathroom were big and bright, it had everything we needed! Breakfast didn't have that many choices, but for the price of the night it was absolutely worth it.

The only minus point I would point out is that even with closed windows we could hear noise coming from the street because people were shouting. But that was not an issue for us, since we fall asleep very easily. So all in all I would highly recommend!:)

The place was great and really centrally located to everything in Évora. The breakfast was good and enough for a good day start. The lounges were nice and comfortable. The staff were willing to help and ensure my stay was enjoyable and comfortable.

I cannot find anything I did not like. The only thing I can think of has nothing to do with Évora Pousada de Juventude. It had to do with some noises coming from outside the building caused by some people (drunks) fighting and screaming very early in the morning.

(I booked a double room for my husband at the hostel and this is what he told me afterwards) The hostel is a nice converted old building on a small square very close to the centre, and has very friendly staff. The double room was simple but practical with air-conditioning, and its own bathroom with shower. The buffet breakfast had all the basics, coffee/tea, cereals, yoghurt, breadand rolls, butter, ham and cheese, jams and honey, cake and fruit. The Youth Hostel had a lounge with tv, and another common room next to the hotel desk. There was also some kind of function room in the basement. The main door is open and the desk manned until midnight. To get in after midnight, you have to knock on the door and a night porter lets you in.

My husband told me that the only problem in his room was that the knob to fix the shower head to the rail was broken. Check-in is officially only from 6 p.m., although if rooms are ready earlier, it seems to be possible to check in a couple of hours earlier, and you can also leave luggage earlier.

This place is advertised as a youth hostel, but it was much nicer than I expected! The staff were gracious and helpful, the building was clean and felt safe, and the room was perfect. The location is also a bonus, close to the historic center and all the beautiful old buildings. The hotel has a nice free breakfast upstairs too. I would stay again!

There is no parking connected to the hotel, but I was able to find street parking easily enough.

Location: perfect, near to all interesting places. Room was really nice with two French balconies, one giving to a small square and the other to a narrow street. People in the reception and in the breakfast room couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful. First night I stayed in a private room and the second night in a dorm which I shared with two young ladies. Breakfast was good enough (bread, cereal, cheese, ham butter, marmalade, tomato, cucumber, fruit, coffee/tea.

If you are a light sleeper the room with two French balconies might be too noisy for you. There is some noise from the street during the night, but it didn't disturb me.

The room and breakfast was excellent. Staff was kind and competent, and the hostel was beautiful and perfectly located. Thanks for a very pleasant stay.

While traveling on bike, I mistakenly booked a dorm bed but did not realize it was a female only dorm. I gladly then booked a private room...glad to pay extra for a room because it was my mistake. I was disappointed that my booking for the dorm bed could not be refunded.

It's as central as it can get. It's close to all the places you need to visit in the city. The room was spacious and clean. Very helpful staff. Good for its price

It can get a bit loud on the street at night because it's very central, so make sure you close the window. Also, the breakfast was lacking some options, but for the price that we paid, it was okay
