This is a large property that accommodates tour groups so sometimes there is a lot of people checking in and at breakfast etc. Overall, the hotel has a lot of amenities, is comfortable and the location is within walking distance from the city walls. There is some free parking immediately outside the front door of the hotel on the hotel's property so that is convenient if you can get it. Otherwise, underground parking is available for a fee.

Preparation of omelette takes long especially when there is a large tour group. Main reason is there is only one person doing the task and when an ingredient runs out the person has to go away and get more thus adding to the waiting time.

Our first stay at this hotel after my original booking at another hotel was cancelled and it will not be our last!! Excellent location just outside the city walls and within easy walking distance of the centre. A choice of parking - either free in the spaces at the front of the hotel (although they get full quickly) , free on some adjoining land (I don't think this is connected to the hotel) or paid in a secure underground car park at a very reasonable 7 Euros a night. Breakfast in the restaurant area just off the large lobby which is very light and airy. Our room was large & comfortable with a free bottle of water. There are two swimming pools - indoor & outdoor and a gym, although we didn't make use of any of these facilities. Staff were friendly & helpful.

Nothing - it was all good.

Quite spatious and modern rooms that had all you need. The outside pool (unheated) is clean and well maintained. lots of room to sit or lay down at the pool. The breakfast and dinner buffet are not "fine dining" but do have all that you might want/need. The hotel is situated just outside off Evora's city walls, only a 5min walk away.

The hotel does not have any dedicated parking, something you would expect from a hotel of this class. Only a small strip of parking for about 10cars was available, parking was street parking and did not seem all that safe.

The room was a good size and laid out nicely. Furnishes and decor were nice. Bathroom was large and comfortable. Location was good and close to historic center

Overall, the quality of food was sub par. Breakfast buffet was varied and relatively tasty. The dinner buffet was not very good in choice or taste. Also, charging for.parking in the garage seems unnecessary. It was the only hotel in Portugal that I had to pay.(stayed at 7 other hotels). Also, this is more a personal observation, but it felt very impersonal. It is a large hotel, but it felt too much like a large hotel.

Room was quiet, food buffet was good, all staff spoke English, Indoor pool, sauna and steam room were good.

Indoor pool crowed at times, outdoor pool cold. When waiting to buy a water at the pool bar, someone on staff showed a lack of courtesy and customer service. I stood there several minutes without being acknowledged. I understood that is was a busy lunch period, but he could have said something like I will be with you a little while, but he ignored me and I had to interrupt him to ask for the water. He seemed annoyed but he got me the water. I was willing to wait but I felt invisible. Although he was very busy it would not have cost him any time to simply acknowledge me. Basic courtesy and customer service dictates to acknowledge the customer standing directly in front of you and ask them to wait.

Good location just a short walk into the historic town of Evora , secure underground parking for motorcycles

The Hotel location was great and just a ten-minute walk to the centre of Evora. The facilities were fantastic with 4 pools and a great pool bar/restaurant. All the staff were fantastic and the quality and pricing of the food and drink was outstanding. We had the buffet breakfast every morning and it had everything anyone would need. We would highly recommend the Villa Gale Evora

The WiFi wasn't really very good. It kept dropping out in the rooms.

The hotel is more luxurious than we expected. If you're coming with a car as we were, it is also a perfect location just outside the old town walls so parking is a breeze and it's just a short walk to all the sites. The room was spacious and extremely well appointed. The staff were uniformly kind and helpful. I was totally surprised to discover that they provided a complete stand-alone gluten-free breakfast when all I had asked was whether they had gluten-free options in their breakfast offerings.

There really wasn't anything to not like.

Spent most of the time at the pools...Hot weather great pools. The garden was very pretty. Breakfast was buffet varied and tasty. Also had buffet for supper. Also varied and tasty. The staff were great. always friendly.

The "jacuzi" was not functioning at all. The grass in the garden was constantly soaked and even on the stepin stones it was muddy . At breakfast it was a pity that the juices served were not natural and the scrambled egg was more a soup that scramble.

both indoor and outdoor pool were great, the breakfast was amazing, very complete with a lot of choices or food, I'm really happy with how peaceful it was in the room, you can't hear a thing outside and the staff are mostly nice! Would love to come back for spa sessions! The best staff member was Andreia, at the sports/indoor pool zone. She was lovely and super patient to explain everything and answer all sorts of questions about the acitvities at the hotel. The room was big enough for 2, very clean, bathrooms also great! Hotel is really close to city centre, it's a nice walk there to lots of great restaurants.

staff at the outside bar were not nice or welcoming, music provided by a free spotify account so it stopped all the time for ads. toiletries available not the best, in my opinion, definitely worth bringing your own.
