Amazing views from the balcony (if you are in one of the two upper floors). There is a nice bar inside (however, it was closed on Sunday). They have some sandwiches, beer, coffee, pastel del nata and more. I stayed with my best friend and we got our own individual beds.

The entrance to the parking lot (only 3 or 4 lots!!) is very, very narrow. We did not even dare it with our rental SUV. Instead, we parked outside on the street. We were lucky there was always at least one parking lot free, else you can only drive downhill to look for a parking space there or take a big detour to check uphill again. Also, you definitely want to be in decent shape to walk up the steep hill to the apartments (unless you only travel by car).

we booked the economy room with 2 beds. the room had a beautiful view of the mountain and a bit of the seaside. it was a very simple room but we had everything we needed and everyone was really friendly.

because we went in january it was rather cold in madeira and their houses are not built for that, so it got quite cold at night. the driveway to the parking was probably the worst part. it was so narrow we ended up with 2 bad scratches on our car.

Amazing view, we enjoyed very beautiful sunsets on the balcony. Room is clean, comfortable and nice. Bathroom with shower was also clean en big enough, there were also many towels hairdryer. The staf is friendly and flexible. You can enjoy snack-bar until 22:00 and swimming pool until 17:00 (we're in February). Location is nice, calm area, many bars and cafés around here.

Stay was amazing just a couple of details, that could be important: - One socket for the entire room and bathroom. It wasn't very convenient. - location is nice but important to mention that way from hotel to city center is pretty easy because you have to go just down hill for 10-15 minutes. BUT the way back to hotel is going to be like a hike. Anyway in center you can easily take different buses.

Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, the view from my room was okay. Private balcony. Easy check-in/out. Very friendly staff! Great view from the pool down to the harbor. The cafe was very good with good prices. Free parking on the street (with good timing). Kitchen equipped for breakfast and basic cooking. Overall a very good location for exploring Funchal on foot if you don't want to stay in the busy old town or hotel quarter, but mind that the slope of R. de Santa Luzia and R. do Pina is very steep!

No mosquito nets in front of the windows. These would allow leaving the windows open at night to cool down the apartment without getting bitten (I'm a mosquito magnet and Madeira's mosquitoes are small and fast). The door did not open and close that smoothly (grinding on the floor), requiring great care when closing to not wake everybody up at night. Some things like some rubber seals in the shower, the toilet seat and fridge could do with a replacement.

We were in the room on the top floor and the view from the balcony was incredible, a real panoramic view over the city towards the sea! The room was very comfortable and clean and was well equipped with a good size fridge, coffee maker and spacious shower. The snack bar and pool downstairs were great and the staff were friendly and helpful.

When walking back from the city centre to the apartments, the last few minutes of the walk is up quite a steep hill, however it was worth it for the views mentioned!

The location was amazing, and the views were great! Worth getting the room with a balcony, as we stayed there most evenings. The bar downstairs serves drinks and snacks, which was also really lovely. Comfy beds, good size shower and the staff provided enough towels, toilet paper and other utensils as well as a fridge which proved itself so useful for storing our food and water. The pool was always clean and made the property even better, and the staff are really lovely!

The only real complaint was the heat and lack of cooling system. It cooled down at night but so hot in the morning! There was also some noise from the fridge I believe which was a little frustrating but nothing major. As others have said; the property is on a hill, which can be a little bit of a pain. Be weary if you’re not comfortable with hills! The parking situation was not great but this was explained on the website so can’t really complain!

Rooms were nice and outside had a small pool area and also a lovely snack bar and area to drink/eat. The location was a 15 minute walk to the old town and although half of it is very uphill/downhill, it’s really not too bad as it’s not too far!

It was up to 31 degrees some days and warm nights too so this made it difficult in the room with no air conditioning and no fan. I think the addition of a fan would make the stay much more comfortable.

Great views of Funchal, good facilities and nice pool area. Bar is open and always staff on hand if needed. Requested a iron before stay and it was in the room when we arrived.

The shower curtain was quite dirty on the bottom could have been changed but everything else was very clean. Quite noisy as you can hear doors banging and people leaving at early hours. Noise travels from the centre due to being on a hill but not an issue for us. Tight space to park a car down the side of property so we parked our car on the road as we didn’t want to risk scratching the rental car but not an issue as there was plenty of road parking.

Seaview, balcony and the small pool was great. Having the cafe/bar was a bonus & the lovely gent looked after us well for the week- thank you. All the staff inc the amazing cleaners were lovely- thank you for a great stay.

The shower fitting & head could be replaced- modernised (it kept falling off). A small kettle in addition to coffee machine would have been welcome.
