Central location, apartment on fourth floor but accessed by elevator. Did not hear noise from other apartments although did hear a little street noise which would be expected given the location. Breakfast more than enough and fresh. Kitchen has adequate equipment and crockery for preparing own meals although the kitchen area lacked workspace. Offered cleaning and fresh towels every day. Comfy beds and a good shower. TV had English speaking programmes. WiFi was mainly good but not working on one of the days. Communication with management team was very good although we had difficulty bank transferring the tourist tax and had to pay in cash instead.

Poorly designed bathroom - door didn’t open fully and banged against sink. Need a tray under dish draining board. Was reprimanded for opening windows as they were glued shut ( not sure this would meet H &S requirements of UK ) and we could not read very small notice asking not to open them. It was very warm and we needed fresh air.

The location is great - you have access to a wide variety of supermarkets and to all kinds of shops. Basically, this property is placed on one of the main streets. The kitchen includes all kinds of amenities.

Parking is very difficult as you have to park your car inside a garrage of a supermarket, which is rather expensive. The room is good, yet some imrovements could be made. For example, the bathroom could be improved. The provided coffee is only instand, there is no espresso machine or another alternative. The breakfast is pretty much very sugary, you only get a very small piece of ham and cheese.

The apartment and location were excellent. There were several international TV programs including Eurosport The cleaning staff were friendly and did an excellent job

The parking was a five minute walk away and was more expensive that we had been quoted. The breakfasts were not to our taste as they were basically processed carbs. We asked to have it changed but this was not possible.

We had a great time at this apartment midst the centre of Funchal. It was cleaned every day and there's even a washing machine in the apartment! We didn't use it but that is a total plus. The bed was good and we were able to cook every meal in the kitchen. We also appreciated the little café downstairs where we got coffee and pastel de nata, a typical cake from Madeira. Because of the use of a code to get in and out of the apartment, it was really easy to 'check-out' and leave for our flight back. The busstop is also very closeby. It is located on a busy shopping street, but it had an airconditioning that worked fine, so we were able to get some good nights of sleep without any noise from outside. Great place to finish our holiday in Madeira.

Room, staff, comfort, cleanliness all great. The location was outstanding, close and walkable to stores and restaurants, the cable car, the Mercado, and the waterfront. Also a lovely walk to the Cathedral, and beautiful parks. A lovely coffee shop is just downstairs.

It's not a hotel with a lobby, and breakfast is delivered to your door each morning. It was too heavy on bread for my tastes. But a grocery store, where you can also park, is half a block away.

A fully equipped kitchen and even a washing machine was a huge benefit. Location was also great having everything nearby - the market, supermarkets, restaurants, bus stations to all locations on the island, the harbour, ...

The breakfast was getting quite repetitive after a few days. While I appreciate the effort to have breakfast delivered to the door every morning, a little bit more variety would have been nice. E.g. making use of the wide variety of fruits available on Madeira, instead of just going for apples and bananas.

Check-in was very convenient. Room was quiet and the windows had great sound insulation. We had no issues with street noise. AC worked great. Location was excellent. Breakfast was a nice bonus. We didn't eat it everyday but it was nice to bring along for a snack during the day.

Parking at the shopping centre was quite pricey at 15 euros per day. There was no cheaper alternative available. Bathroom lacked counter space. We ended up bringing in one of the little coffee tables from the living room and used that so not a huge issue. Would have been nice to get more than one laundry pod to wash clothes. We ended up buying a huge bottle at the grocery store and only used 2 loads worth of detergent.

Excellent location, in the heart of the city, basically everything you need (restaurants, grocery stores, Mercado, Rua de Santa Maria) is in walking distance. Parking also available at Anadia Parking (right on the corner like 30 meters from the apartment, open between 07-23). In the tourist high season (end of June) we always found parking spaces, only steep at the entrance and the exit, the rest is okay. For overnight parking it was 15€. Apartment is excellent, spacious and clean, A/C is also available. We have always received our breakfast between 7:00-7:30. If we ever visit Madeira again, we will definitely stay at Marketplace by Storytellers again! Thank you!

Modern and clean. As central as it can be. The included breakfast was decent. Would probably stay here again if I ever came back.

A bit of a misunderstanding occurred in the beginning, which I think they could've handled more nicely. We had notified them in advance that we would arrive early, so we needed a place to leave our bags while we explored the city (we were fine with not checking in yet) and they said that they were gonna help us with that. But when we actually arrived, I first called the number they had provided for us, but no one answered. After a while, I called the number that's stated on their profile here, and the woman answering seemed a bit annoyed, telling me that check-in was not until later. But after I explained that we had agreed about this beforehand, she became more helpful, and eventually, everything got solved, but it kinda left us with a bad first impression.

The apartment is perfect for two people, good size, very well equipped (washing machine, iron, etc.). It was kept pristine clean by the staff. The location in Funchal is also amazing, everything is nearby. (As it is on a busier street, a light sleeper might not enjoy it this much, but we never had any problems with that.)
