The owner literally saved my life! I was staying at the hostel in October - after a night out alone and 2 small drinks I blacked out - I believe someone drugged me as the feeling was totally weird (although I can't approve that because the police and hospitals are useless), he helped my girlfriend get me into the shower and gave me something to drink and eat. Other than that - the hospitality was way above expected and the property is located in the center of Lisbon, close to pretty much everything! Thank you very much again.

The kindness of staff, always looking to help you. The rooms were clean, the beds ok. And what I like the most is that is very close to the city highlights, all close to walk.

I don’t rate them with the high score because I think they may be some room of opportunity to improve the pillows, and the cleaning should be early morning.

This hostel is right in the center, it's in a beautiful, historical building and it's super clean. I had no bed bugs whatsoever. There are occasionally mosquitoes coming in from the outside like everywhere in Lisbon. The staff members speak very good English and are always there to help. There is a fully equipped kitchen, a common room and enough bathrooms. They also supply a towel, which many other hostels in Lisbon don't.

I personally liked absolutely everything about the hostel, but if you want to stay in a party hostel or in a place with more socializing, then this one is maybe not for you. What might also not suit some people is that the reception is not 24/7. When the last guests are checked in, the reception closes in the night.

The staff is what makes this accommodation worth going to. We spent just one night and the owner was so thoughtful. The accomodation is cool as its a 400 year old Portuguese house that was converted into a hotel. i loved the tiles. The bathrooms were just outside the room so that was not an issue.

For tall people the ceiling was quite low so that could be an issue. There is a lot of stairs - might be an issue if there's a problem with mobility However these are all expected in an old building

The location was literally 1 minute walk from Rossio train station (for Sintra) and 3 minutes from metro and 2 minutes from Rossio Square for trams & buses

The accomodation was on 3 floors and the shower on my floor did not work and with lots of people staying there at times both the shower/bathrooms were occupied

Great location, friendly and helpful staff.

The hostel is in a small old building and the rooms and shared areas are very small. The rooms are not confortable at all.

The location was great and the hosts were very attentive. The woman at the front desk was especially nice. They were very accommodating.

I don't like leaving my key exposed at the front desk. The hot water was a bit erratic.

First of all, you must understand this is a hostel. Not only is this a hostel it is a hostel in a very cramped city. Therefore it should be expected that it won't be as roomy and nice as hostels in smaller or less dense cities. This by far isn't the best hostel I've stayed at, but for what is available in the core of Lisbon, super central location, it was pretty good. The staff was very nice, they focus on cleanliness, no alcohol allowed (which I liked) kept things a bit quieter as there wasn't any late night socializing. Huge Plus *showers and washrooms were very clean, and cleanliness was a huge focus* Bed is barebones, they give a small towel (which at other hostels you have to pay for) Location is great, you are in the heart of everything, only a couple minutes walk to the train station. Overall good experience, when you're cognizant that this is a hostel in a dense city. Also as it is a hostel, a lot has to do with things not in control of the hostel, such as your roommates.

Towels could be a little bigger.

Well situated to the old city centre, eateries and attractions within easy walking distance. The keypad entry was handy and independent to come and go as pleased. The bath in the shared bathroom was an absolute treat! Thank you for a pleasant stay

The reception was not often maned, it would've been handy to sometimes communicate with an inhouse person. However the staff when available were friendly and helpful. The kitchen could've been better equipped to make a warm drink and a easy meal.
