I got an impression that owners of Alte Traditional guest house are professionals who really know how to accept guests, think about guest's needs, requirements and did everything to make it work. Interior is in harmony with old towns centre style implemented with modern materials and solutions. Great job done in all levels. I feel attention to details in every step. Definitely will return back and recommend to friends. Thank You, Exceptional! Perfectly clean, cosy, authentic interrior arrangemend, interesting construction solutions, wonderfull tiny inner yard. And custom made super breakfast with cute hostess. This time I ordered cheapest room, next time will definitely be curios to see other options. Town itself is worth to walk around, in good shape. The road from Alte to Cachopo has one of the best views in continental Algarve and plenty of foot trails.

It’s a very good hotel. I couldn’t get half the quality for the same price in Lisbon. The room and bathroom was very clean, the decoration simple, tasteful and traditional, the staff was friendly. There is a great terrace on top of the building with a gorgeous view over the village and surrounding landscape. The room was dead quiet in the night, and I slept very well. The location could not have been better, and the breakfast was very good.

It took a long time to get hot water in the shower. I had given up, and thought I’d have to take a cold shower when it finally came. Once it came, everything was great, an the bathroom was very clean.

Staff were amazing! So friendly and helpful, I felt like it was my home away from home. Staff are very professional, well organized and welcoming. The hotel is lovely with great design, very clean and well taken care for. Great breakfast!

That my vacation came to an end.

Everything. The breakfast was amazing. The service was above and beyond. Every day met with a smile and asked if we needed any help with anything. The eggs and bacon freshly cooked for you was perfect. The hot tub on the roof terrace was perfect

Nothing....This place is so beautiful. the team looked after us so well, even ironed our clothes for us. The honesty bar is great and the location is perfect!

Property is really great and clean. Love the jacuzzi. But the very best and what it makes it a 10 is the amazing staff. I never seen such a caring staff ever. I will definitely come back.

Very well located in the center of Alte. Good service. Friendly staff. Very nice interior. Worth a visit. Would definitely stay another night.

The entrance of the hotel is programmed. You have a card to get in. There are two doors to get inside. It would have been good to know that you can only get in till a certain time by the second door and maybe even at all. I have let in two other guests who arrived at 1.30 am. They were fortunate that I woke up and heard them trying to get in. On the bright side you are really save inside :-) Just inform your guests in advance and everything is perfect.

The pool and rooftop jacuzzi is amazing! We liked the design of the rooms and they are quite spacious. The location makes for a great hub for exploring Algarve. They provided us with beach towels which was very nice. Overall, we would stay again.

Although the breakfast was not bad, the options were limited and after 4 nights it got kinda repetetive. The first morning they asked us if we wanted to have our room cleaned, and we replied we would like some new towels which they provided, however nobody asked us any other morning and we never got our room cleaned/new towels again which was quite confusing. A hair drier would be convenient too!

Tastefully furnished modern rooms, very kind and helpful staff and (contrary to other reviews!) a really good breakfast (scrambled eggs, selection of breads, granola/yoghurt glasses, fresh fruits, cake). We were very happy with the guest house, no comparison to other accomodations along the Via Algarviana.

Only thing to mention is the sound insulation of the rooms: other guests and the outside door were audible quite loudly.

There was no food even though the website said there should be. Many of the local places were shut so not much choice we ended up bying a picnic at the supermarket Booking said check in from 4pm but when we arrived we were told check in closes at 4! Not staffed after 4 and we never saw another guest so it was a bit odd but did mean we had the pool and terrace to ourselves The bathroom had beautiful looking bath buyt it was only able to be used as a shower - rather odd but not a problem No parking available outside but didn't have to go very far to find a space
