The hotel is tucked down a side street, two flat blocks from the Viana do Castelo train station with easy access to the heart of the city. The staff is engaging and warm, helpful with suggestions, and always present. There is a lift to all floors and on our floor, one, there was a seating area where we casually waited for friends. Nice touch. The room was spacious enough and a door opened to a lovely, shared patio space. There are black out curtains.

Nothing to not like.

I had a lovely stay. The staff were particularly attentive. Upon check in, Ricardo at the front desk provided a map and suggestions about what to do and where to eat. The included continental breakfast was ample and varied (assorted breads, cheese, sliced meat, cereals, cake, yogurt, fruit, etc.) The staff kept the area well stocked and came around to offer refills on juice, coffee, or tea. The location is very convenient, just a couple of blocks from the train station. The rooms are simply appointed, clean, and quiet. Mine even had a nice view. I would happily stay here again.

Lovely small hotel Very convenient for bus/rail services, cathedral, shops and sight seeing - also on the Camino - we stayed for 4 nights over Easter for Camino and bad weather respite. Staff all very nice, professional and friendly/helpful - a special thanks to dining room staff who were extremely thoughtful and friendly - gave us bread rolls and fruit for our walk when we left - we were very grateful for this as there were no cafes for 18kms. The cleaning staff were also very nice and accommodating An indication of good management is how happy the staff are - everybody we met was so cheerful and obviously happy at work

There was nothing that we didn’t like

This is a really nice hotel in the heart of Viana do Castelo and most importantly right on the Camino. The room was comfortable and we had a lovely balcony overlooking the city. The staff were incredible: made me feel so welcome and the breakfast in the morning, which was included, was excellent. Thanks Eduardo, you were very friendly! They even provided foil so I could wrap a roll with cheese and ham to take on my walk. The room had air conditioning, which was very much appreciated and has been a rare commodity on this trip.

A small bathroom with a very small shower, but that is pretty consistent with other hotels on this Camino experience.

Location and price was good.

Two issues - the elevator was not operating for a few hours. Difficult to move the luggage to our fourth floor room. The bigger issue was our friends had medication that needed to be refrigerated which the hotel did. However, our friends forgot to pick it up in the morning. We were on the walk north and called in the late afternoon. Our friends were informed that the medication was disposed. No attempt by the hotel to contact our friends. ON THAT BASIS I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.

Exceptionally friendly & helpful staff. The hotel was in a prime location although a little difficult to find initially. The room was very clean, modern & a good size. The bed was a little hard but that is a personal preference. Breakfast was very tasty & we had our own trays of meats, jams & bread served to the table. Parking could be a problem in Viana but fortunately the hotel had onsite parking at a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this hotel if visiting the area.

The location is great, in the center of Viana. The service is more than excellent - they are very helpful and kind. Rooms are clean. You can have a breakfast earlier than regular hours if needed. It's a really good value for money. Of course it's only 2-stars place, so you can't expect the extraordinary standard of rooms, but it's on pair with many 3-stars hotels.

I'd suggest adding some vegetables to the breakfast. The glass walls of bathroom can be more obscured to give better feeling of privacy.

Great location in the very central district of Viana do Castelo. Charming and well-established hotel, and the breakfast crew (the team of three) at the hotel was the best - they were efficient, caring and very thoughtful and attentive. Excellent service! I enjoyed my stay in beautiful Viana, but the people who make Viana make it even more pleasant experience. Thank you.

Shortage of parking at the hotel meant that I had to park in public park but it was not far from the hotel so not an issue.

We were welcomed as soon as we arrived. The management and staff are exceptional, and they go out of their way to make sure you are pleased with your stay. We were very pleased and would return. The location is perfectly close to historic center. The river and sea are close by with many wonderful restaurants along the way. We took an evening walk after dinner along the beautiful garden walkways in the park.

Cannot think of anything at the hotel. As for the city, I wish they had smoking areas for people who want to smoke. My husband and I do not like people smoking around us. It happened a lot! We both had headaches. Especially when we were trying to enjoy our meal.

We had a lovely bright room and a balcony with a lovely view. The staff were so nice, especially the man on reception (I think he was the owner) and the people serving breakfast. They were so nice, making sure we had enough to eat and refilling our coffee. The lady was so lovely taking care of everyone and even wrapping up some food for people to take with them.

I think the cleaners overlooked a few minor things in our room. The back of the toilet hadn't been wiped and I found a good few hairs in the bathroom. The walls are thin and the neighbours were very noisy early in the morning. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
