Very spacious room with microwave and fridge. Daily service which was great. Very helpful reception staff. Our small requests were met immediately. Comfortable King bed. Great location

Our room was next to a very noisy outside air con unit which went all day until 11pm. Although this did not affect our sleep it meant we could not really use our balcony during that time. Some fresh fruit, yogurt and better bread would have been preferred over tinned fruit salad and cheap supermarket bread, although there were bagels and croissants a couple of mornings. The 'blurb' said we would have a kitchenette, but there was no cutlery or crockery. Only green tea was available - some other choice including black tea would have been good.

Hotel is well located 5 minute walk from Waikiki beach and very close to shops and restaurants in the centre of Honolulu. 20-25 min drive to/from airport. Rooms were clean and well appointed and perfect for our short stay. Great value compared to other hotels in the area. Would certainly stay again.

It's not a glamorous hotel and lobby & hallways are a bit dated (but this really isn't a problem, just a comment). Only real negative was the noise coming from the pub across the road until early hours of the morning (and we were on the 7th floor!). Our kids were on the other side of the building and didn't hear the noise, so would recommend asking for the quieter side of the building. Also, the height of the shower was quite low and couldn't be adjusted. So not great for tall people.

We originally had a different room, which was one of the standard rooms. Very comfortable bed, good sized bathroom and the air con was great! But after noticing ants, they quickly responded with coming out with some spray. But it was late in the afternoon and we did not want to leave our room at that point, so after another call they changed us to an other room. We got a top floor room with a gorgeous view. The staff was friendly and there was a luggage storage for the last day so we could enjoy the day before going to the airport.

The chairs on the balcony: the beachchair's seat strips were broken, and some of the strips were close to breaking. So laying down in the sun on that chair was not working out, even though the sun was on the balcony most of the time. The breakfast was a minimum without any dairy subsitutes (a few of the options they had were muffins/butter croissants/ milk for cereal) so I had to go to the 7eleven to grab some overpriced breakfast each morning.

Close by to the main streets & shopping district.

The garbage truck collection at 3am every morning, The noise from people leaving the bar at closing time form up the street. Not really the hotels fault.

Close to Waikiki Beach and many large shopping areas. Pink bus runs close by making it easy to get around the area. Early check in with an upgrade; later check out, free luggage storage, shower available for late check out

Looks a bit old and poor views from some rooms.

The Aqua Oasis was a great hotel for the price. The fact it is an older hotel allows it to have that old-school Hawaiian feel, a huge balcony, exterior outdoor hallway to the room. The room itself was huge, the beds comfortable and more than enough space to get around in the bathroom. Housekeeping was excellent, always a clean room and more than enough towels. We liked there was cold water available in the lobby, worked great to fill up our water bottles. We also took advantage of the juice dispenser in the morning for some orange juice or lemonade to take with us to enjoy later in the day. The beach towels were a great size, sometimes hotels do not have bigger sized towels for that purpose, plus the little beach chairs were so light weight, we did not mind carrying those too.

The mini fridge was great to have in the room but the door sometimes seemed to stick, we were afraid it was going to fall off. We appreciated breakfast was included, but the space was a bit small when everyone seemed to show up at 7:00. When you went at 8ish, more room to sit, but the food was sometimes not replenished, so limited choices. We did get tired of having Costco muffins every day. It would have been nice to have some protein choice for the bagels/muffins/toast, like cream cheese and/or peanut butter.

Excellent location with friendly and helpful staff. Good value for what we paid for Hawaii.

The breakfast was very basic as many reviewers said.

Breakfast was perfect for me since I normally eat light in the morning anyways. My husband however would’ve preferred a little more food but the light breakfast was still enough to tide him over till lunch. I loved the different fruit juices available. The front desk staff and one of the valet drivers were so sweet and went above and beyond for us. After only a day or two of us being there, many of the staff remembered us and details about our previous conversations.

We had a really hard time figuring out where the front door was since we arrived so late. The gate was locked and from the road and gps directions it did not look like a hotel entrance. I understand there’s not a whole lot that can be done about that but it was still frustrating in the moment. Also, though I understand the necessity given the location, the required valet was more inconvenient than convenient. If we wanted to stop back at the hotel in between activities, it was more of a chore than if we could’ve parked ourselves. We found ourselves planning our days around minimizing trips to the hotel.

Very central in Waikiki. Easy to bus to from the airport. Small hotel compared to most in Waikiki. Large room, comfy bed, large bathroom and relaxing bath. Linen was ok. Plenty of bath towels. Small kitchenette with fridge and microwave. Breakfast was adequate. Lots of cafes, restaurants, shops etc. 5 minute stroll to beach. Nice eaterys - sushi burgers, juices - and restaurants next to hotel.

Needs a refurbish, built 1970s as has popcorn ceilings. Room could have been cleaner - bathroom door had dirty marks around the door handle. Kitchenette not well supplied as only 2 bowls, 2 mugs and some cultery. Some fresh fruit at breakfast would be nice. Outside street was noisy as not double glazed windows - Waikiki is very busy and noisy.

Excellent location, a block away from downtown and the beaches. Attentive staff, wonderful room cleaning service. Hearty free breakfast. Koi pond! You can take the public bus #20 directly to or from the airport for $3, and the bus stop is a 2 minute walk from the hotel.

No complaints. It is a great place to stay if you are on a budget yet still want a nice place with nice employees. Highly recommend.
