Amazing breakfast. Room size was very spacious. Location was great with shops and food options across the road. MRT is directly across the road. Easy to explore Singapore. Pool was fantastic.

We ended up staying an extra night and the room we were given was terrible. Smelt like cigarettes. As soon as I made the staff aware they immediately got me another room. great service., fast response. We also upgraded to the Executive room level for the executive club. This was not running as normal though and very disappointed.

So I booked 5 min before I checked in. Staff claimed they couldn’t find the reservation so the whole check in process became 30 Min+. They had to key in everything manually and even charged me. Not sure if it’s Booking.com or hotel system issue…. It was almost midnight too with an 8 year old.

- great location. East Coast Park. - So much food in Katong. Parkway Parade, Katong laksa next door. Food court at i12 basement. Countless food places along the townhouses lining East Coast Rd. Beach Rd Prawn Noodle House - Uniqlo, Daiso, Parkrun etc close by - MRT right outside - attentive staff very accomodating when I arrived at 3:30am - outside area where pool is - Bus 36 to/from ?all Changi terminals and here - Very good curtains - Water dispensers in corridor - Convenient driveway right outside for taxis/ride share to pick up and drop off. - website has accurate 3D depictions of rooms.

I planned a staycation to celebrate my husband's birthday. Upon checking in, the staff greeted us with a friendly smile and wishing us an enjoyable stay. Checking in was very easy and we got a nice room at the corner which was quiet. The staff also gave us a nice birthday cake to sweeten the experience. Also, one of the main reasons for choosing Grand Mercure was that the newest MRT station was just right in front of the hotel's doorstep, making it very easy for us to travel to town. Overall, a fantastic stay and highly recommend to anyone who is looking to stay at Grand Mercure.

The staff were all so friendly and willing to assist. We loved the location as it was out of the city centre and had a great Hawkers Market across the road. We will definitely stay here again when we are in Singapore and it will be even better as the metro should then be finished and it will make transport so much easier. We spent two nights here prior to boarding a cruise with our adult childre, so we booked 3 rooms and our request to be close to each other was met as our rooms were all side by side. The shower was good, the beds comfortable and the rooms very clean.

It would have been nice to have umbrellas near some of the sunbeds by the pool.

Friendly staff

Construction work immediately opposite the hotel. Decoration work in the lobby. Free shuttle bus to the airport no longer running

Rooms are reasonably sized. Very close to Metro station Marine Parase on East Cost Line (TE). Water-dispensers available, a glass bottle in room would have made it sweeter. Bathrooms , fresh towels all very good.

Did not use the breakfast, as 25 Euros breakfast where lunch costs 10Euros did not make sense to me!! A lot of options are available for breakfast in the neighborhood. Check-in took way too long, I waited 20minutes+. This may be a problem of just one staff. Some other guest wanted to jump queue, which did not help.

The room is good size n clean n love the robe n house slippers n the extras. Location is good especially now they have the MRT station to just go across to Marine Parade. Good guys the concierges who help me to find a box so I could bring those four packets of fish skins n help me to seal n find a robe to tie my box. Breakfast good selection fruits n food.

Would have love the shower head not to be fixed on the wall but the flexible one with handle.

Big room and large bed, single provided for my son. Great location close to shopping mall. Excellent pool and gym. Close to cheap hawker market and short walk to East Coast Park.

The staff were top, the rooms are exceptionally large, the pool is nice, the breakfast buffet fantastic and very generous, the Hotel hosts an international variety of down to earth people and you meet lovely families from Singapore also, all of which gives you a sense of belonging. We stayed a week here and loved it! It was a home away from home. We will stay here again next time we come to Singapore.

We had to take a bus to the Metro, to go downtown, but they built a new MRT station in front of the Hotel, which will open in a few months.
