The staff was exceptional! They were extremely friendly and took very good care of me. I considered going to a larger chain because it was my first time in Kigali and I was concerned about safety and that I wouldn’t get the service I’d receive from a brand such as Marriott or Hilton. They far more than exceeded my expectations. I feel I enjoy this experience much more than I generally enjoy my experience at larger brands. The personal touch I received was so welcoming and the location was phenomenal. I could walk everywhere and be right in the midst of all the action.

I love the convenience, the location and the staff. Also, they offered a lot of services that big brands don’t offer such as free laundry, and I learned when I compared the price of their shuttle to and from the airport that they were cheaper than the big brands.

I loved this little hotel! It was so charming and comfortable, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. They accommodated my weird arrival and leaving times, and did my laundry. There was heaps of choice a breakfast, including plenty of fresh fruit. I had most of my evening meals there also and although the menu was limited (it is a small hotel after all), the food was excellent. There was a fridge in the room and AC, and a nice strong shower with great big fluffy white towels. I adored watching the African sun rise above Kigali from my balcony, and watching the many different birds in the vegetation all around (and this hotel clearly has someone with a serious plant addiction on the staff!). Overall, an absolute oasis for anyone wanting to get away from the large faceless multinational hotel chains elsewhere in the city.

A kettle to make tea in the room would have been nice. I wasn't sure I liked the balcony doors being left ajar by the cleaners during the day, even if the bug screen was closed (there weren't many bugs). There is a slightly busy road (depending on the time of day) to cross if you're walking to the hotel, but it is easy to take a motorbike or car taxi.

Hotel shuttle driver (Alex) was super nice and willing to drive me to the airport very early in the morning. The AC unit in the room worked GREAT. Breakfast was free. All of the staff would super helpful, and willing to work with me on situations out of their control.

The main problem I had was for about half of the showers I took the water was muddy. It was brown and when drying off the towels would be stained brown. Breakfast was minimal so I chose to eat elsewhere. They were unable to charge the card I booked the stay with (because it was a company card I did not physically have with me at checkin) even though I had the digital card on my phone. The airport shuttle felt a little pricey at $25 but not a deal breaker because it was available super early in the morning.

The staff are the best part of the hotel, they are super helpful and friendly. I really liked the view from the room and the location is quite central within walking distance to downtown. Beds are comfortable and you are provided with bottled water daily making life easier.

Breakfast can improve. There is an expensive Jura coffee machine promised to make great coffee but it requires a bit more attention. Most of the time it begs for water, cleaning, or milk container is empty. Keeping it in shape for 4 hours per day should be easily doable. Not relevant to the hotel but the daily haggle with taxi drivers over the price was a bit annoying. Maybe the hotel can have some trusted drivers that offer fair fixed prices in which they can always call them.

beautiful garden, great location and excellent staff. make sure to get one of the rooms close to the garden.

beware that you have to LOCK the door from the inside when you are in the room. I was not aware and a guy walked into my room when I was sleeping 😓

One of the very few locations where you can get a continental breakfast. They had at least 2 different types of cheese, baloney, honey, Nutella and jam. They also had real bread, which is unpleasently rare in Rwanda. The rooms where modern, unlike all the other 4 star hotels, which are straight from the 70s. AC worked fine, bathroom was fine. All in all a pleasent stay but for a huge sum of money (compared to other prices in Rwanda).

The TV was low quality (SD) and only had 1 english channel. No Netflix or Screensharing, no international TV. The restaurant was heavily overpriced. No view from the rooms (except the freaking parking lot). No pedastrian or bicycle lane to the (pretty near) city center.

Serene location, proximity to city center/market(walking distance), superb Internet connection, very friendly and welcoming staff.

There should be more English stations. Most stations were in French without subtitles so couldn't enjoy the use of the TV much.

Staff was amazing - they went above and beyond to help. Location is great and the rooms are comfy.

If you are visiting during summer, note that there is no AC despite description of hotel saying there is. Rooms come with a fan though.

We absolutely loved the simplicity but authenticity of the welcome. The room was ready, extremely clean and functional, although we arrived before the check-in time. When I enquired about some typical local food, the chef offered to cook it for me although it was not on the menu, and only charged us the equivalent of their cheapest dish on the menu. Needless to say, it was delicious! Because of our flight times, we were allowed to check out at 9pm, at no additional charge!! This kindness is absolutely unheard of (as far as I am concerned, in the hotel business). We watched a Worl Cup football match in the dining room, and we were generously offered some local, roasted peanuts with our drinks. Although our stay was short, the kindness of the staff, the comfort of the room (with the outside private seating area) and the convenient location of the hotel made our time there very relaxing and overall extremely enjoyable. We will definitely go back there if we ever return to Kigali!

I cannot think of anything to mention in terms of improvement.

Great location in city center, clean hotel, wonderfully helpful and polite staff, overall a very comfortable stay! The laundry service included in the hotel room tariff is a very nice touch!

Breakfast can be a bit better, especially if it's presentation can be improved.
