One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in my travel journey. When I booked the hotel, I didn't expect to receive an email from the hotel to ask my ferry arrival detail (flight or ferry details). Little that I know that the hotel provided the pick up from the port to the hotel and vice versa. As I arrived at Mykonos port, I was picked up by the hotel staff who brought me directly to the hotel. Once arrived at the hotel I was warmly greeted by the concierge who helped me carry my luggages and showed me the reception counter to check in. At the check in counter I was attended to by Maria. The check in process was fast, easy and smooth. When the check in was done, Maria informed everything I need to know about Mykonos, places to visit and what to dos during my stay. It was very useful that I could easily get my way to the places I wanna go. The bus stop for the local bus that takes me to Mykonos town was just outside the hotel with only €1.80 for the fare and it only takes 10 minutes to get to Mykonos Town. The bus is every 2 hours, where the first bus starts at 7.40AM from town and arrive at the hotel at 7.50AM, and the last bus from town was at 18.00, and 18.15 to town. The hotel itself is a gem on its own. Very close to the beach, it almost like a private beach. The restaurant where I had my breakfast at was overlooking the blue ocean. It was just simply beautiful.. When I have the opportunity to visit again, I will definitely stay at Petinos Hotel again. Thank you for making my stay a memorable stay.

Everything about the hotel. Especially the location. We would love go come back here every year. You can walk Scorpios,Nammos. Beach side fantastic restaurant Avli.Chinese massage ladies so good. There is a bakery near by. There is a bowl bar near by We are staying in CavoTagoo now but we miss Petinos hotel. It had all we wanted..
I sent a message to hotel a week before we arrived asking for a car to pick us up from the airport. They sent me a message back that I could easily find the taxi from the airport. I had been to mykonos before and I knew that there is a huge taxi problem on the island, however, they told me that there was a taxi station there. Our plane arrived at 1 after midnight and it was raining. There was no taxis in sight and seeminglh everybody else had cars from their hotels pick them up. We were soaked with water as we waited for a taxi. Later, we saw that the hotel has plenty of private cars so I dont know why they were so hesitant to send one to us.

Cristina, Dimitri and the rest of the staff were incredible and accommodating. I loved my room and how spacious it was. Always very clean. The shower was amazing. The pool area is great, very pretty. The hotel overall, is nice and modern with a very minimalist approach. The location of the hotel is so convenient and I cannot stress that enough.
I didn't like the double beds in my room. I don't know why they are there, instead of a king or at least a queen size bed. They were two twin beds pushed together, so my feet hung over the edge. The beds were uncomfortable. A bad choice for such an exceptional room.

Staff very friendly, attentive and mannerable - work hard. Pool quiet and relaxing with great comfy sunbeds and waiter service if wanted. Room spacious, clean and dressing gowns which were changed every two days plus the bedding. Our balcony was spacious with lovely sunbeds. Breakfast average, would appreciate more fresh fruit instead of canned, but water melon excellent. Bus outside to go to Mykonos €2 each way, or/and catch small boat to visit island €20 round trip. Hotel on beach so excellent location. Their Greek night is entertaining.

Fantastic hotel, lovely pool area and restaurant. Brilliant breakfast with plenty of options. Beautiful sandy beach. Although only 1 minute walk to the beach you couldn’t hear much, if any noise from the beach clubs at night (although we were slightly off peak season). Great airport shuttle service and easy bus ride into old town with the stop just outside the hotel entrance. Great bakery, takeaways and corner shops just up the road. Would definitely stay again.
Nothing with the hotel. The beach although beautiful was full of sun beds, had only one small section at one end to sit if you didn’t want to pay for sunbeds. Just something to consider if that’s or your scene.

Beautiful hotel and rooms amazing with the best lighting and well designed rooms. Hotel staff are excellent and really make your stay perfect, especially the restaurant staff who are friendly and professional. Food is excellent, the homemade pizzas are wonderful and the chef even made mussels saganaki for us. Restaurant view of the beach is just breathtaking. Pool area is like the pictures and is tranquil with a button on the table to press for waiter service. Bus stop outside the side of the hotel to Mykonos Town which is only 10 minutes away. The hotel is on the beach front and Platis Yialos resort is one of the best with stunning sea and beach and a water taxi to other beaches. Hotel offer airport transfer for 20 euro return per person this was brilliant!
The hotel does not have any sun-beds on the beach, beach sun-beds cost approx 25 euros per bed.

We have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions during the last 10 years and have never been disappointed. The rooms are tastefully designed and plenty of space. There is free wi-fi in your room and throughout the hotel. The beds are very comfortable and the cleaning of the room is daily and also top class. The hotel facilities are excellent and so are the staff. The breakfast is plentiful and the restaurant is excellent too. A good bar service too where the barman 'Alex' makes an excellent cocktail. The location of the hotel is terrific, only a few steps from the beach at Platis Gialos and if you fancy going into Mykonos Town, there is a bus stop immediately outside the hotel. The bus costs all of 2 Euros and takes around ten minutes to get into town. If you miss the last bus back to the hotel a taxi will cost you 20 Euros. I really can't praise this hotel enough. The family who own it are lovely and so are all of the staff. It is a terrific hotel and I highly recommend staying here. We will certainly be back!
No scope for improvement. It is perfect as it is!

We really like this hotel. we have been 4 times and we likes to go to lots of different places on holiday but there is something about Mykonos that keep drawing us back. Platis Yialos, is a very nice resort, a nice mix of people and families of different ages and lots of different nationalities. There is a large beach which is crowded when you look at it with sunbeds belonging to several hotels and restaurants, but its not as bad as it might look. The beach is really nice, the water lovely. This hotel is right at the start of the beach., in a great postion. You can easily walk to 3 other beaches from here also. The twin hotel is also great. You can use the lovely garden pool at this hotel or the one at its sister hotel, which is elevated and overlooks the beach. There is often a very nice breeze in Mykonos, so it quite bearable even when 30 degrees. Mykonos town is fab. Lots of great bars and places to eat. very pretty, all white buildings and very narrow pedestrian only streets, its a maze really. The bus/ coach to the town, stop/starts right outside the hotel. Its cheap. Takes about 15 mins. Runs until 1am or something like that. the buses are every half hour. Breakfast nice; in the Blue Myth restaurant over looking the beach. They do a Greek night with dancers Sunday and Wednesday, which is fun to do. The sister hotel has a really good restaurant called 'Thea' which is very good for lunch or dinner. Elevated, great view of the beach, peaceful for lunch and very nice at night. Also eat at Avli Tou Thodori lovely food, good service, great if you get one of the tables on the beach and at Yialo Yialo, lovely staff, also have table on the beach. Its a taverna and quite authentic. Good food. Avoid DK Oyster / Mykonos Kosmoplos. They tell you in the day their sunbeds are free, then charge crazy prices for drinks and food and try to rip you off. You will note no one eats there at night.
We liked everything. Had a great holiday

Aesthetically pleasing. We had a two bedrooms and there was plenty of space.
One of the bedrooms didn’t have much space for clothing. Lack of drawers and hangers for clothing. No tea and coffee. There is a dark side to Mykonos. Beware of the bar next door extorting money from tourists. Please see bill in photos for 4 people having a few drinks and calamari (for two!) 75 euros for a cocktail 12 euros for a coke. Please be aware this is NOT the hotel itself but it is right next door and no mention of this on other hotel reviews or from hotel on checking in. Please also be aware that hotel reception staff are on commission when arranging trips and make sure you shop around.

It is quite hard to write this review without offering some context. Transport was arranged from the port to the hotel, which was appreciated. However, when asked whether we were staying at the hotel or apartment, some question marks arose. Although the app showed I booked a stay at the hotel, it turns out we were staying in an apartment, away from the hotel. Please (!) read up on where you are staying, because there is a stark difference between the apartment and the hotel. The apartment felt extremely dated, isolated, and did not differ much in terms of the price compared to the rooms in the main hotel, and was even more expensive in our case. My friend and I would have felt extremely uncomfortable staying there the rest of the trip. Although there seemed to be some resistance, the staff eventually agreed to change the room for a room at the main hotel, which was very lovely. It felt modern, was right outside the pool, and had everything we needed. We also really liked the breakfast at the Blue Myth restaurant, which offered a variety of options to meet most guests' needs. The restaurant itself also hosts Greek Nights (we experienced ours on Wednesday evening), which was a fun experience to witness. The hotel is also within a very short walking distance of a beach. However, the beach itself is mostly covered in sunbeds attached to various restaurants, with very small patches of sand for guests to just put their towels. I assume this is not unique to this area. There is also a regular bus service (although the buses are more comparable to coaches), which are cheap, and allow you to get to Mykonos Town with relative ease.
Although the staff were generally polite and supported us with our needs (e.g., printing, room change, finding restaurants), there wasn't much warmth or friendliness as compared to other places/hotels we visited whilst in Greece. I don't know if the staff are tired, overworked, after what must be a busy tourist season, but it did seem to affect the atmosphere in some respects, and seemed to be the case for most of our interactions with employees/employers in Mykonos.
