Friendly and helpful staff, the hostel is clean and very cozy (I would say feels like home), the garden view and no noise from the streets, the room itself as expected - perfect for a single traveler (everything needed for work and rest), kitchen things available (microwave, fridge, electric stove, utensils and other), the shower and toilet are I liked the location- 30 minutes walk to the city center (I think it's nice as I could look around), several cafes and supermarkets nearby (the staff is friendly, speak English and are ready to help with shopping).

Maybe the mirror in the room :) (I am small)

The position of the hostel is very good, close to the metro station Hősök tere and very close to the beautiful park Városliget. The place looked warm and welcoming, absolutely good for the price. The staff is very helpful, giving advice and coupons for activities in the city! Also the reception is open 24/7. In particular I talked with Sebastian, who was very kind and friendly, asking me if I needed some advice about the attractions in the city and the best events. Also making sure at the checkout that I knew which way to go in case I needed some indication. I highly recommend it, especially for young people that want to get in contact with the city.

Maybe for an old person an hotel would be more indicated for a matter of privacy and comfort, but as a hostel is more than good and I would recommend it a lot.

I stayed for the second time this year at Baroque Hostel and I have three more stays in May, June and July for three more rock concerts. I've always said it's my second home, but every time I find something interesting. For example, this time I crossed the street and in the park opposite the Hostel I visited the museum in the House of Music, a must see in Budapest. The building is spectacular, built in 2022 by Sou Fujimoto. Next time I will go to see her at night too.

The next day I was supposed to go for a run at Vivicitta, but a cold I came home with prevented me from going for a run.

The reception staff who was there at night (3AM or such) was super nice, helpful and explained everything to me. I didn't really use the facilities besides shower, but from what I could see the place is well equipped and super clean. My room had 3 beds, and it was very quiet and comfy. The mirror doors between hall and common spaces are very cool and confusing. The decor in the common spaces is very boutique indeed. The room itself not so much, looks more like a dorm room, but i don't mind at all. The airport shuttle service is great.

The reception staff who was there in the morning may have been very tired, had some sleepless nights, or otherwise affected, because they seemed like they don't really want to be here and seemed almost annoyed to have to deal with my check-out and questions. Now i know very well what hospitality and 'service' industry is like, and i certainly don't want anyone to pretend or fake a smile if they don't feel well, that stuff is almost worse. But i really felt (especially in contrast with the night shift employee who was friendly) as if i'm bothering them.

I liked the atmosphere, the old building interior and exterior, many nice details, garden with a hammock, the location, kitchen and staff was very friendly (Especially Seb, Gonzalo and Hans - Thank you guys for everything!)

The internet wasn't always working well but I guess it's the Hungary problem in general because I've experienced it outside of a hostel. I'd prefer to have curtains on beds but I improvised so it was ok.

The interior was super fun, the entrance and little tables outside in the shade were very nice, the rooms were very cool although it was about 30°C outside, everything was very clean and nice. We didn't try the free xbox or other game consoles, but the kitchens were well equipped and we really loved the people and the stay here! There was a single toilet, a shower and a combination of toilet and shower for every 3-4 rooms, so there was never very much waiting time and the location was amazing! Right in front of the nicest park in the city, close to the zoo and the spa, good connections by tram, bus and metro, shops were closeby and there was a really nice italian pizza place around the corner. After our stay they watched our bags for a few hours without asking for a fee. I loved our stay and had a really good time here.

Sadly we booked a room with a double bed and got a room with 3 single beds. We put 2 of them together, but as a couple, we would have prefereed a double bed.

Very laidback and open atmosphere, where it’s easy to meet other travelers. The place was surprisingly quiet at night, and we stayed there five nights in a family room. It’s a labyrinth of corridors (several hidden behind mirrors or even cabinet doors), which gives it a special atmosphere but also prevents noise transferring. All the staff was very friendly and helpful, with special thanks to the Argentinian night watch and the girls that prepared the breakfast. Location is excellent. The adjacent park has several excellent new musea, old palaces and the famous thermal baths on walking distance. Buses run every 5 minutes, and bring you to nearby metro lines.

When it gets really warm in the summer (30+ degrees) then a ventilator would be helpful to make the room cool for the night.

I had a lovely stay at Baroque Hostel. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean, well-stocked and much better than what I was expecting. The hostel was also very quiet at nighttime and other guests were very respectful and friendly. The communal spaces are also very nice and would be great if you needed to work or if you wanted to just chill. The hostel also provided a free towel for me to use and wifi was very useful.

Me and my family loved this hostel! The location is perfect, there's bus stop and metro on a walking distance, as well as castle and a museum. There is a very cute bakery nearby. Our room was very nice, there was a heater for the cold weathers and the reception was always ready to help us. Also they give you towels for free so it was so nice, we took them to thermal baths (no one wants to pack bulky towels on a trip) overall 10/10 would stay there again

It had a very laid-back atmosphere and the staff was very accommodating. Other guests also seemed like cool people. The hostel had a beautiful garden in front of it, and the accommodation itself was far back from the busy road, thus peaceful/quiet. Though not right in the center, it was directly across from the Városliget and well connected to transportation going to the center in very little time.
