Room was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The key box arrangement worked well and the information from the owners was clear and easy to follow. The location was ideal for our needs and parking was easy.

Nothing springs to mind that we didn’t like. Though, we did put a Please Do Not Disturb sign on the door as we prefer not to have our room serviced if we are only staying for a couple of days and the room was serviced while we were out. But not a problem.

Check in was easy and the room was spotlessly clean. I liked the fact that there was plenty of tea bags, some places only leave 2 tea bags and its never enough but Bay Lodge left plenty in our room. Bed was comfy and the room was of a good size

Much of the furniture was of a dark brown which looked like it could do with being a bit more modern. A number of the bathroom floor tiles in our room was cracked which made the room look a bit tired.

The location was lovely, very quiet, has its own entrance. The room is really lovely, exceptionally clean and comfortable. It has everything you could need. The bed was amazing! We slept so well. The bathroom is beautiful and was also very clean.

The only teenie tiny issue with the room was the fan. It looks great but as it’s metal it vibrates so it’s a little noisy and could be annoying. It was very humid the night of our stay and even with the windows open we still needed the fan on. But it’s not a massive issue. The only other thing was that as we booked through Booking.com the property instructions say the ‘entrance is in Dane Rd’. We had a little trouble finding it because a huge van was parked right in front of the gate so as we drove past we couldn’t find it. But that is in now way a reflection on this lovely place but a picture of the gate you’re looking for on booking.com might be helpful.

Fantastic quiet location, 3 mins walk from Minnis Bay seafront and just 10-15 mins walk to Birchington town centre. Lovely clean bedroom and ensuite, v comfortable bed. Didn't see landlord/lady but v friendly and attentive cleaning staff. V reasonably priced too, especially considering I was there in peak season. Cannot recommend highly enough A+++

On-road parking a bit limited at times, had to find a space 2-3 mins walk up the road on a couple of occasions but by no means a show-stopper.

I did not have breakfast at the baylodge but there was a great cafe 1 min away

You are hard pushed to find anything I didn't like,the room was great with a lovely feel to the place,very relaxing and clean a fresh.the bathroom was nicely decorated with a good shower,the bed was extremely comfortable and made for a good night's sleep

It was clean and comfortable. Close to where friends we were visiting. I especially like that sheets were provided in case having the duvet on the bed was too hot for sleeping. It was really appreciated n this hot weather. It was also good having a fridge in the room to keep our drinks cool

The fan was noisy so I couldn’t have it on in the night as it kept me awake. Apart from that everything was fine

Lovely little guest house near the sea. Clean. Good sized room. Bathroom was lovely. Had a good TV and a fridge all I needed for my stay. The owner was lovely and he made sure we were comfortable.

We had great weather that weekend so it was a bit warm at night but I did have a fan so ok..

Communication was excellent via email. The room was exactly as listed, clean and efficient.

We had hoped to watch some Olympic coverage; however, access to BBC iPlayer and other online accounts (eg Netflix) would not load due to ‘weak internet signal’ which was displayed on screen.

Nicely appointed room and excellent comfy beds. Very quiet yet near local shops and of course the sea. Excellent email/SMS contact from hosts giving instructions on how to collect your keys.

No face to face contact/welcome from hosts (I appreciate that some guests may prefer the anonymity and independence of this approach).

Room was comfortable and clean. Access straight forward.

Parking a problem also although there were clear instructions on how to operate the shower we still had trouble regulating the temperature main shower was either scalding hot or freezing cold. We used the smaller shower I the end, not the perfect way to shower but did the job.
