Excellent breakfast, plenty of choice. Location is about as good as you can get in Broadstairs, about 8 minute walk to seafront

Toiletries in the bathroom are tiny little tubes that fall through the gaps in the shower tray. For £245 a night for our junior suite, they were cheap and nasty. This was the only complaint I’d have.

Booked a classic double and had everything we needed except a view which was fine with us as we didn't stay in the room much. Everything was lovely and clean.

We arrived to the hotel about 35 mins before the check in time of 3pm. On arrival, we were told our room was ready, but if we wanted to check in "early", there would be an additional charge of £10!! Not sure if this is only applied to Booking.com customers, but it's the first time I have come across this and obviously refused to pay and waited until 3pm. Once checked in, payment for the weekend was taken immediately which again I found odd, isn't this usually taken at the end of the stay?

Hotel was very good and clean

The hotel was quite a long way from the beach ,and a lot of hills .not very good for the elderly like we were

The hotel and grounds are lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and the bed comfy. Breakfast buffet was good with good options.

Ordered the pancakes and a bacon sandwich with a poached egg for breakfast from the menu. Sent both back. Bacon was seriously under cooked, the pancakes were doughy and under cooked and the syrup (not maple syrup)was runny like water. Streaky bacon goes with pancakes and maple syrup. Huge disappointment. The bacon in the sandwich was under cooked it was served in thin white bread. When we asked for it be changed to brown it was came back in the thinnest wholemeal bread. The poached egg was a soft boiled egg. I'm guessing they don't have a chef on at breakfast. Big let down for such a lovely hotel.

Friendly and helpful staff.

1) Card payments only accepted. 2) Lack of storage in guest room, especially when staying for more than a couple of nights. 3) No residents only car parking spaces, difficult to find a suitable space when function were being held.

Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised at how much parking was available. When checking in, the staff were friendly and helpful, giving a nice welcome. We were very happy with our room, which was cosy, clean and spacious. There were great facilities in the room with tea and coffee (which were kindly replenished when we asked), extra pillows, iron and ironing board and a lovely bathroom. Also, there was a good air con/heating system in the room which worked well and was easy to use. The breakfast was amazing! So much choice and extras were available like breakfast muffins and pancakes, which were no added cost. The buffet had a great selection and we enjoyed it very much. Staff were very attentive and helpful during breakfast! It was in a good location and the building is actually very historic, which we liked reading about. A great stay, highly recommend!

One would need exceedingly high standards to find fault with this excellently managed hotel. As a housekeeping supervisor, my partner and I were thoroughly impressed with the cleanliness and tidiness of both the hotel and its bedrooms, which truly justify its 5-star rating for cleanliness. Every member of the staff was welcoming, with special mentions for Sarah, Joe, Zoie, and especially Amy, whose warmth and friendliness made our stay in Broadstairs even more enjoyable by providing us with helpful information. The breakfasts were among the finest we've experienced in any hotel, showcasing quality ingredients and meticulous preparation. In conclusion, our stay at the Yarrow was nothing short of wonderful, and we would certainly choose to return if we holiday in this area again

It is a wonderful building with a very interesting history as a children's convalescent home in the 19th century and latterly as a college. It has been beautifully brought up to date. The decor is superb and has a real feeling of luxury. I cannot speak too highly of the staff who were so welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to use the spa facilities but we will next time!

It was absolutely perfect. I cannot think of anything that could be improved! Although the pictures on the website are accurate it is somehow so much better in real life. An unexpected gem.

The Yarrow was very clean and welcoming. Great parking facilities, and location. A short walk from the high street, sea and bus stops. The breakfast and the Spa were both excellent. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Our room was in the window and was lovely with beautiful high ceilings.

There is scaffolding up all across the back of the hotel and I cannot find any mention of this anywhere in our booking or on their website. Our view was of the scaffolding and the plastic sheeting walls, which flapped noisily on the windy night, disturbing sleep. The builders do not work on the weekends at least, so no noise from them. The bathroom was tired and could do with a new floor. Our mattress wasn't the most comfortable.

Lovely large room, an excellent dinner in the restaurant, and every one of the staff was superb and went out of their way to help. A good location, a short distance from the centre of Broadstairs (about 10-15 minutes' stroll). Breakfast was good - self-service, although freshly-cooked different types of eggs were available.

Perhaps some finessing in the rooms for a four star hotel would have made it 'Superb'. Plastic cups, cheap-looking toiletries (although they were much better quality than they looked) and a filled mini bar (or a mini bar at all), would have seemed about right. The staff were truly superb and incredibly efficient, so there was no problem asking for things for the room.
