Unforgettable experience! We soaked in a biblical downpour and manager of the hotel helped us to dry a baby stroller and whole the dressing! As well, recommended a great restaurant and called to place to order a place for us. At any of our request we had an assistance with very warm emotions so that we’ve felt as at home and, at the end of the stay we had a great present! I would wish all our experiences to be close as possible to what we had in that adorable hotel. Great pleasure

Absolutely everything was great

It is an old house, which has been restored beautifully and tastefully. We were given an upgrade to a gorgeous room/suite with sea views. The suite is spacious, comfortable and cool, considering it was 40c outside….! The furniture is stylish, the bed very comfortable, lots of space for storage. Staff were wonderful, especially the owner ;)! Breakfast is perfect, everything you could want - served on a large terrace right on the water. The old village is a 2 minute walk away, there is a beach a short walk away. Highly recommend it!

The staff, Ante, Veronica, Lea, and Marko were all very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We also liked the location due to the ease of walking to Centro and the ferry. The Apolon is an historic building, and we loved the charm, instead of a newer hotel. Also, breakfast was a treat, and sitting on the terrace watching the marina traffic was delightful.

Not one thing!

Incredibly friendly staff, beautiful location looking into the harbour. Pleasantly surprised by the size of the room which included a small separate sitting room and a very large and modern bathroom. Very peaceful location in Stari grad.

Be aware that the taxi rides to and from Hvar Town are €50 each way. There is a very infrequent bus service, but I think that may be because we were just outside of peak season. Stari grad is a very peaceful place to stay with some lovely restaurants but you will want to go into the main Hvar Town at some point in the stay.

Wonderful B&B in a great location. Room was comfortable and had a beautiful water view. Ante is a friendly and professional host. He helped us with ferry info, dinner suggestions, and breakfast was delicious every day! Veronica (sp?) went above and beyond to track down an important item my husband left on the bus from Hvar. She saved the day! Entire staff was top-notch.

Beautiful family run hotel. We received a lovely welcome and the staff were always on hand to help us if we had questions eg booking local restaurants, booking taxi to ferry port, offering beach towels. The rooms were spacious, airy and clean. The breakfast was a mix of hot and cold options, with the hot options cooked specifically for you.

No pool, BUT please do not let this put you off, the beach is a dew mins walk away and you can hire sun beds on the other side of the marina (15 min walk)

Stayed here for two nights and wish we had booked for longer. Staff were so friendly and helpful - the lady (sorry I didn’t catch her name!) offered us cold water as soon as we arrived very hot from our walk. She recommended us restaurants and activities which we tried and loved. She also very kindly upgraded us to the suite with sea view, which was absolutely stunning. The breakfast was also delicious with plenty of options. Overall went above and beyond and we would happily stay here again.

The hotel was a delight. A great deal of thought and attention had been given to its sympathetic transformation. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast choices were excellent including fresh fruit salad and an a la carte menu of hot dishes freshly cooked to order. If you book this hotel you will receive an up market experience in a serene and relaxing environment.

The best place to stay on the island of Hvar if you want luxurious tranquility. We were fascinated by everything - the historic building, the style of the rooms, the breakfast on the terrace overlooking the yachts, the especially helpful staff, the wild beaches where we only bathed for two, the wide range of underwater life, the gourmet restaurants in the evenings in Stari Grad. We have been staying for five nights, but my wife is still unable to go back, remembering this hotel every day. It was the most special part of our whole trip to Croatia.

Everything - from the warmth of the greeting on arrival to the comfort of our room, from the exceptional breakfast to the keen attention to detail throughout. And the location is just perfect - a 5-10 minute walk both to the bars, restaurants and shops AND to a delightful cove which was perfect for a pre-breakfast swim.
