A great goethic style residence of maybe an Earl type of royalty of France a few centuries ago has been turned into a fantastic boutique hotel. They have done a brilliant job of renovation. All rooms are very well appointed. They also have one luxury glamping style tent away from the main house, which I think is rather adventurous to spend a night in. Simple breakfast and plenty of options available in the nearby villages. Superb location for those who want to enjoy the French countryside. I highly recommend this place.

Considering the pictures and the location I was not having high expectation for this place. Especially after the way I arrived there (see comments below). But, the rooms turned out to be very comfortable. Particularly, the bed was very nice, the shower was at top. Heating was available as well. The room was clean and neat. And the host was very welcoming. I haven't stayed long, so I cannot list anything else, but overall I had very nice impression. The place is located some 10-20 mins away from the main highway between Lyon and Avignon (depending on which direction you go), so it can be good for an overnight stop, but probably also (and maybe even more) for discovering the region. Despite the difficulty of finding the place, I would still recommend to consider this option for your stay. The quality/price ratio was quite good, which compensates the isolated location. Finally, in the morning it looks much more beautiful than in the night.

Arriving there by night was not exciting even by car, given that it was not easy to find the parking place in the dark (luckily you still can see indicators), and then from that parking (which has no fixed boundaries) the house was not visible (neither was the path to that house). In the late winter evening (around 20h00), the house is almost completely dark (looks rather like a ghost house or at least an abandoned one). Then, it was not clear to me, where the entry to that house was (it was the door on the right part of the building). I suppose this place is accessible mainly by car (though I might be wrong).

The place was really nice and the room big and comfortable, we would like to come back in the future.

We did not like that we booked a room without breakfast included and then asked by email if they will serve the breakfast for us. They didn't answer to the email and then we called several times the day of arrival to check about the breakfast and nobody picked up the phone. When we arrived (we stayed for just one night) the woman told us she was not able to serve us breakfast. This could be said in advanced to give us time to buy something or prepare a little bit, specially traveling with a kid. We expected better communication from them.

Breakfast was a typical continental brekfast and served outside. No complaints but nothing outstanding. Position was a long way off a proper road with vines growing all along. Exceptionally quiet.

Shared toilet and bathroom. General rundown buildings and dirty looking swimming pool but you could say that it was rustic and full of character. It could be very special if someone spent a lot of money on it.

Beautifully cozy chateau. Very lovely staff. Free parking onsite. Our room didn’t have its own bathroom, the shared bathroom was very clean, neat and tidy. Bedroom was lovely and spacious. Would definitely recommend.

Grounds need some up keeping. But beautiful nonetheless.

It was such a wonderful (pitoresque) place with a nice atmosphere and beautifully restored. We only stayed one night, but felt at home immeadiately. The big trees in the garden offers shadow and calms your mind. Very nice personel

Extraordinary location, magic, in the middle of the vineyards. Clean, comfortable, ample

Arrival (especially) and departure times a bit strict, but we knew beforehand so no big issue.

VERY authentic! Incredibly beautiful setting!

No warm welcome at all. For the big room we stayed in, 2 out of the 3 heaters didn’t work. We mentioned it to the owner and she just said “it should work” and didn’t want to come to the room to help. It was ok now, the warm fall weather helped but makes it impossible to be there in winter months.

Charming location with very spacious rooms. The pool is wonderful and the staff is extremely helpful. Ideal location if you want to just get away.

The internet is poor and most times nonexistent. Breakfast is extreme expensive for what is provided.

The hotel is superb. Friendly, clean and warm. Gardens were beautiful.

Breakfast was a bit expensive and we did all of it was hot and cold breakfast. The answer was yes but it was only cold bread and a few tiny bits of cheese.
