Great location near Kielder Water, really fantastic food. The room was warm and comfortable with a great hot shower.

For our second night's meal we reserved a specific table in the bar area. We checked it was all booked twice and were reassured it was. We were even shown the booking calendar which said "do not change" in highlights. When we arrived that evening, the bar area was empty and a couple had been given our reserved table. Apparently, they visited regularly over the years, whereas we obviously didn't meet the hierarchy criteria. We did sit next to them at a nice table, but we felt annoyed. It was the principle. We felt like it was a total lack of respect for 2 paying customers who reserved that table first. We just didn't feel valued.

The food was outstanding. I ordered a starter, main and dessert and all three were excellent. The room was excellent. Nice and clean and tidy, no strange smells and everything in its place.

I had to turn the heating off in my room because it was like a sauna later on and woke me up. I managed to turn the radiator and heated towel rail off though so it wasn't too bad. The WIFi was terribly inadequate. I couldn't open any web pages on my phone or laptop, and it struggled to even open Instagram content. This wouldn't usually be a problem if it weren't for the absolute lack of any mobile coverage there.

The Pheasant Inn is a beautiful B&B - we splurged a little as it was a but pricey but we thought it was well worth it. The location is outstanding, honestly one of the most beautiful places we have stayed. Room is perfect - clean and very well decorated. We opted to stay for dinner as there isn't much around, and we weren't disappointed! Amazing food - it made us excited for breakfast! So lovely to have a menu to pick breakfast items and have it served as 3 courses!

Nothing really! Only thing I would say is that the radiator in our room had a mind of its own! It was off, but periodically would seem to get piping hot!

The food it’s very good, the accommodation was lovely, very clean, warm and cosy. The shower it’s excellent! It’s very near Kielder Forest and Kielder observatory, only 15 min down the road almost.Beaufifulll walks near by. We will definitely go back!We really enjoyed our stay, thank you.

Beautiful location. Somewhere we have been many times before but never stayed over. Comfortable room and bed. Lovely toiletries and stunning views. Nice to have digital services - iPlayer, Netflix etc - on TV. Superb breakfast (and we had dinner the night before - good, as always). Friendly staff.

Bathroom a little dated. Some things need a bit of attention, such as a loose toilet roll holder and one of the drawers in the chest needs fixing. Very little hot water at 7.30am but better later on. Quite expensive.

Very large comfortable bed, good pillows. Breakfast 1st class. Dinner very good. Location and the immediate environs were really nice. Building has lots of character and the bar areas are very cosy.

Although the bathroom was huge the shower cubicle was tiny. I couldn't quite get my head around why some of the available space couldn't have been better used with a bigger shower tray and screen. The only issue clenliness wise was the amount of cobwebs on the light fitting and ceiling within the vestibule area.

Room okay, cold on arrival. Beds comfortable, we were an unusual trio I’d imagine, three adults and the bunk bed was too short for my son(6’7”) so I had a bunk and my son and husband used the two twin beds which were very close together. Bathroom gleaming but shower difficult to operate and water cool. Plenty of towels and lovely toiletries. Very limited tea/tisane options . We attended a dark skies event at Kielder Observatory between 11.30pm and 02.30 on a literally freezing cold night and the room was still warm to come back to.

Shower difficult to use.

Nice room, selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and high quality complimentary toiletries. Excellent Breakfast, great choice, friendly service, good coffee, delicious bacon and very tasty porridge. Dinner was also very nice with a great choice of starter, main course and dessert. Lamb was cooked to perfection. A range of nice beer and a good wine list

Vegetarian choices could have been more, same 2 choices Friday and Saturday although the Wellington and the Nut roast were more than enjoyable

Stayed for a trip the to observatory. Waited a little while to check in. Shown to room 5 which is up an outside stair case, room ( I should have requested a downstairs room- steps and handrail frozen when returning after 11pm ) but the room. was lovely and warm . Everything on the welcome tray, including hot chocolate. Had meal in onsite restaurant, which was lovely . Adele was a great friendly host on the bar . Breakfast was good , really enjoyed the yoghurt and granola.

The price of the room ( £145) at this time of year, a little steep. The outside steps , quite steep and frosty hand rail.

Excellent food experience for both dinner (which was optional) and breakfast (which was included). There is an obvious pride evident in the food served and the upkeep of the venue. Well done! This was not our first visit and it will not be the last!

I can't in all honesty find any significant fault with anything. Maybe a warning that the hot water runs (when it picks up speed) VERY hot would be helpful, but I'm nit picking now. My wife and I were both very satisfied with our stay.
