We loved the made to order breakfast. Upon check in you receive daily menus for each person for every day you are there. You fill it out and you are set. Each day you text or call and let them know when you would like your breakfast. The breakfast is really awesome. The rooms are gorgeous and very comfortable. It's like your own beach house. The bed was really comfortable. large walk-in shower with a rainfall shower head; fabulous. The way the balconies are designed provides you with a lot of privacy. This hotel has the BEST views in Vilano Beach. The 3rd floor views are unbelievable. Don't worry about packing beach chairs or umbrellas; the SABH has them for their guests. LOVE this place. There is a wide assortment of souvenirs at their giftshop as well as beer and wine. The staff is amazing, warm and so kind. This hotel is pet friendly.

Location and views were everything! Staff super helpful and kind. It was quaint and boutique. Get the oceanview rooms. We slept with balcony sliding door open listening to the crashing waves against with the moonlight shining in our room. The bed is situated right where you can see the ocean and sky. You’ll see the sunrise. Umbrellas and chairs available for use on beach. Free shuttle every 30 min to take you to historic downtown about 10 min away.

Some things lacking (not bad) that some people may want to know about when considering a place to stay in St Augustine. No elevator but highest floor only 3rd story. You’ll get your steps in! Breakfast included but you do have to bring your order downstairs to office and pick up the trays/food to bring to your room. No pool but beach steps away.

Everything was wonderful. The staff was so friendly and attentive. The food was wonderful, and the view of the ocean was amazing. There was a little dog run for our puppy, and they even left her a little puppy care package! You just can't beat the location, either! The room was spacious with a kitchenette which was great, because a tired toddler and puppy are hard to drag around to restaurants! It was my daughter's second birthday, and they left her a cupcake and a lovely note as a surprise in the room! What a sweet gesture.

I can't say I disliked anything. Something to consider, however, is that it is an older property. It is maintained very well, and the interiors have been beautifully modernized, but there is no elevator. The parking lot is a tad cramped... little things like that. We knew what to expect because, again, this is a well- kept but old building. The only real critique is the small water heater. We all love a nice hot shower, but you didn't get them for very long. I personally feel like it's worth those little inconveniences for the b&b friendly vibe and unique charm. So much more personality than a chain hotel.

This is a very clean and spacious property in good repair. All of the rooms have a balcony on the ocean side. We watched the sunrise every morning and kept the door open a bit to hear the surf all night. Our room had a Keurig type coffee maker and we prefer the basket drip style. I asked the desk and we had what we wanted within minutes. The beach access is literally steps away. There is a Publix supermarket within a few minutes walk, and it is a very short drive over the bridge to Saint Augustine.

Although this is a no smoking property people were smoking on the balconies.

The view was phenomenal 😍 The staff exceptional! The breakfast was great! It was so nice to be able to have breakfast on the balcony or in our rooms! You just call and give them 10 minutes to have your order ready. You choose your options for each day at check in and you are all set! The convenience of portable beach chairs and umbrellas on the patio to pick up and drop off was nice! The room was clean and nice beachy decor! Highly recommend 👌 The walk to the beach was just a few yards, very close! Sunrise seen every morning was beautiful!!

I like how close the beach and store were. The beach view was fantastic.

The fact that there were no napkins, paper towels, or tissues (facial). Also that the ceilings sounded very thin and you can hear the loud footsteps from the neighbor above you. This might bother some guests though, but I'm a heavy sleeper.

Staff was great. They met all our needs. Very friendly and accommodating. Nice warm breakfast every morning. Room was just as described, very spacious, clean, modern, and beautiful view of ocean. Perfect place for a beach vacation. Couldn’t ask for a better location. Steps from the beach. Perfect for tanning and long walks. Just far enough away from crowds and close to so much dining in St. Augustine and Vilano beach area. Grocery 2 blocks away. Beach chairs, umbrellas, towels provided by the hotel! Definitely a place to return to!

The room was very comfortable and had all that we needed for a great stay. The view of the ocean was, of course, amazing....listening to the waves with coffee in the morning or wine at night from the balcony was very relaxing! We enjoyed our anniversary here very much- even the sweet cupcake that was waiting in our room! We will be back I'm sure!

What we didn't like is a little harder to answer and seems "nitpicky". A pillow selection might have been nice, as mine was very firm and hard to get comfortable with. Or I could have brought my own lol....

We loved the location. The property is right on the ocean and the balconies face the sea. The rooms are spacious with a little kitchenette so you can microwave or toast. A few things to consider are: no elevator to the 3rd floor and no pool. We didn’t mind because our interest was the beach and spending time checking out the historic sites which are not far at all.

this place is an absolute gem. i just love the bright white linens. the clean, crisp interiors of the room set off the ocean view, which was simply spectacular. we had a room on the top floor and the staff offered to help us carry our things up the stairs, since there's no elevator. we didn't mind the stairs at all, but it's good to keep this accessibility limitation in mind.

the only thing I would suggest is the elimination of single use plastic in the breakfast service, but that can't really be helped during covid times.
