Excellent location. We visited the Prairie Creek, National Redwoods, and Jedidiah Smith Redwood Parks from this location. Humboldt Park is also close enough to visit - we stopped on the day we checked out as we were driving back to San Francisco for our flight. Easy on/off freeway access. Really good breakfast with hot and cold options, with new hot menu items on the two days we were there. Also had options not usually offered - granola bars, cheese sticks, fruit and applesauce cups. Nice to grab one to eat while hiking. Food was fresh. Dining area was clean with attendant frequently checking on food items to see if they needed to be replenished. Beds comfortable. We asked only for trash removal and new towels on the second day and those were quickly provided. Pool was half covered and half outside. Both pool and hot tub open and working near the end of October, which was a nice surprise as some hotels had closed pools for the season.

The breakfast was GREAT! There was a large selection of food to chose from and it was delicious. The eating area was roomy, clean and an enjoyable place to start the day.

We were all more than a little concerned when we pulled into the property because from the outside it looks dated and worn. The rooms however were of a substantial size, updated and very clean. We were VERY PLEASED with our rooms. The staff was very nice. We needed one of our rooms changed to a bottom floor because of traveling with a 90 year old that couldn't safely handle the steep stairs. Although booked they worked hard to figure out how to give us a ground floor room for her.

Good breakfast, great location!

The staff were great, the breakfast was a nice benefit. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the television was huge (kids loved that)! Location was fantastic, easy to get to town, University and beaches.

The pillows weren’t comfy and the heater/ac unit was loud. I felt the prices were a little steep for a motel (with cars parking outside your window).

There was screaming and carrying on outside on the street. The person checking me in was more concerned with what was going on outside then helping me get checked in after telling the receptionist that I was in a hurry. Early in the morning there was more yelling from the street. Not the best neighborhood. sketchy people walking around the streets, and by McDonalds.

Great stay after a long drive on I 5. The location was an easy off and on. There are food places within walking distance. The morning breakfast was good. The hotel is very clean, friendly, and a good setup for walking the dog. I would stay again.

It would be better to have dog rooms without carpets. My dog kept sniffing a certain place. Makes you wonder what happened before.

Good location with varying options for restaurants. No cleaner smells in room. Able to control temperature inside room well. No homeless people noted immediately near hotel. Felt safe. The hot tub was working and available. Breakfast was worth it.

Omg. The complimentary breakfast was beyond expectations. It was my husbands only request that we go somewhere that offered free breakfast. He loved it. It was a full breakfast buffet and changed each day. He loved it. I was so happy with the different offerings and amount. Thank you

Took our dog and got charged an extra $25 Not too bad but not thrilled about it

The beds were very comfortable. The grounds were very pet friendly. The breakfast was very good and the staff was very friendly. I got a good recommendation from them picking out a restaurant to have dinner.

I wasn't there long enough to have any problems.

Love this hotel, location is perfect for dogs has great park like setting with tables and gazebos only wish that we could have checked in sooner our room wasn't ready until after 4 and we requested early check in but they said they were short staffed on house keeping ..other than that stay was great!
